13| Talk
A day had passed since the whole debacle with his ex-girlfriend and Saki. Saki refuses to speak to Y/N, let alone batting an eye towards him.
When Y/N went to his part-time job with Saki, every time he tried to talk to her, she'd either shove him off or just plain ignore him. It didn't help when Chelsea showed up and acted all flirty, her little happy facade annoying Y/N to a great deal with Saki having a look of disgust. Chelsea would see this and shoot her a smug look, getting all touchy with Y/N, him having to always push her off.
Just seeing this annoyed Saki. A lot. Despite what Y/N said, just looking at the two made her heart twinge with pain. On the outside, if you didn't see them arguing, Y/N and Chelsea looked to be the perfect couple. Well, what a perfect couple could look like. Saki wasn't sure how those types of relationships work as she's never been in one herself. The chance she had was essentially ruined by the auburn-haired girl that had strolled in yesterday.
And yet despite all that's happened, Saki still wanted to forgive the Shiozaki boy. To give him a chance.
But something was preventing from doing so. She wasn't sure why. She wanted to try again, but she wasn't sure what was stopping her from doing so. And it doesn't help that she's a bit wary of what her cousin would do. She's pretty sure that her cousin has already figured out the relationship she's had with the Shiozaki boy, starting from the day she met him. She's scared of what she'll do to him.
It was now any other day, Y/N ignoring Chelsea as she continued to pester him. He sighed in annoyance as he heads for his locker and opens it, grabbing his indoor shoes. Slipping off his outdoor shoes, he puts them into the locker and closes, putting on his indoor shoes.
"Hey."
The tone of voice was demanding, filled with hints of anger. Y/N was already having a bad enough day with Chelsea around, so he let out an annoyed sigh, him turning to the person who was speaking to him.
But the front of his school uniform was grabbed forcefully, the person having a tight grip on his collar. The person then forcefully shoves Y/N up against the lockers, creating a loud noise as it echoed throughout the hall, grabbing everyone's attention. Y/N let out a small surprised grunt, seeing the familiar green eyes filled with anger.
His dark black hair shining in the morning sun. Yuzuru Nakamura's teeth were gritting against each other, having the Shiozaki pinned up against the lockers. This was creating a bit of an uproar, but right now, it didn't matter to him.
"What did you do," Yuzuru demanded.
"H-Huh?" Y/N stuttered out. He was confused.
"Don't play dumb with me. What did you do?"
"Look, man, I don't--"
"If you didn't do anything, then why did she look like that? Huh?"
That's when it clicked in Y/N's mind. Y/N had forgotten about what Saki had told him on the day after the Sports Festival. She had a cousin, who just so happens to be the son of an influential politician in Japan.
And what do you know, Saki's very own cousin is standing right in front of him, demanding answers. He must've noticed Saki's behavior from two days ago, Y/N noting that Yuzuru must be confused.
Y/N sighed. "Look, it was all a misunderstanding that was my fault--"
"I sure as hell know it's your damn fault. All I want to know is, what did you do?"
Y/N stayed silent. He couldn't face him as he looked down.
"Well? Answer me, dammit!"
"Nakamura!" Another voice spoke out.
The two boys look to who spoke out. It was their teacher, Shizuka Hiratsuka, the older woman having a stern and disappointing expression on her face. Especially towards Yuzuru.
He got the motive coming from her, the green-eyed teen clicking his tongue in annoyance as he lets go of Y/N's collar. But he quickly sends him a look, Y/N knowing it all too well.
'Meet me at the back of the school later today.'
The green-eyed teen had grabbed his own bag and began to walk towards the classroom. Unknown to the two, Saki had watched it all. While confused as to what had happened, although having a general idea of it, Saki shook her head of the thoughts and went to the classroom herself. She didn't want to talk to Y/N at the moment.
Chelsea was watching the whole interaction unfold. She grinned a little, knowing that certain rumors and gossip is now beginning to spread. All she was thinking of was to how spread something terrible about the blonde. After all, she's just a rotten bitch to the core that wants to make Y/N's life a living hell. Y/N wasn't her first victim, her previous victims also going through a living hell. Some of them had even committed suicide.
Hiratsuka looked to all the other remaining students in the room.
"What are you lot still doing here? Go on, get to your classes. Now!"
The students began to disperse, leaving Y/N standing there as he still kept looking at his feet. He was still pondering as to how to deal with Yuzuru later today. Paired with the fact with how he was going to apologize and fix his relationship with Saki.
"Well, that was an interesting development. Wouldn't you say, N/N?~"
Y/N looked at Chelsea with a glare. "Fuck...you. You should know that all of this, is your fault."
"Me? Whatever do you mean, N/N?" Chelsea says, trying to act dumb. Y/N wasn't buying it.
Shizuka walked up to the two, "Blaiddyd, was it? Go on and get to class. I want to have a word with Shiozaki here."
"If that's what the teacher wishes.~"
"Just scram, kid," Hiratsuka says with a sigh.
The auburn haired girl only nodded and skipped away. The older woman sighed at the girl's antics and looked to Y/N, who was now leaning up against the lockers and looking up at the ceiling.
"You alright?" Shizuka asks, concerned for her student. "He didn't hurt you or anything?"
"Huh? Oh, no. He didn't. I'm fine."
"I see. Is there any particular reason that started this altercation?" Shizuka questioned with raised eyebrows.
"It's...complicated. One that's overly dumb and honestly just plain pointless. Just something over a stupid and dumb topic." Y/N sighs.
"Well, in any case, sorry for Yuzu--I mean, Nakamura. He can be... Violent, at times."
"I-Is that so?"
"Yeah. I promised his brother that I'd keep him out of trouble. I'm not really doing the best job right now, aren't I?"
"That's saying something, Hiratsuka-sensei."
"Anyway, you go on and head to class. I'll be there shortly. Stay out of trouble as well, Shiozaki."
"Will do, sensei."
---
It was now near the end of the day. Yuzuru had left first, him heading towards the side entrance that led to the breezeway. Along the way, he was stopped by the familiar Ice Queen of Sobu.
"What do you want, Yukinoshita?"
"Why are you causing trouble now? This isn't like you," Yukino says with crossed arms.
Yuzuru scoffed. "I thought you weren't talking to me anymore after that whole thing with Hikigaya and Tobe."
"What does that have to do anything? My point is, why are you--"
"Don't even ask any questions, Yukinoshita. You won't get any answers from me. And don't even try and stop me either. I should've figured something was up between her and that transfer."
Tears begin to well up in Yukino's eyes. "Why... Why is that the only way for you to solve things?"
Yuzuru sighed. "Didn't I tell you? I never asked you to worry about me. See you, Yukinoshita."
The green-eyed teen simply brushes past her. He wasn't in the mood to talking with her. Right now, he had another agenda to attend to.
---
Right now, Y/N was behind the school, currently pacing, walking back and forth in a line. He wasn't sure what the "Lone Prince" wished to talk about.
Chelsea had attempted to follow him, but Y/N was able to send her on her way home. He really didn't want to deal with her today. Soon enough, he heard footsteps, turning to see Yuzuru Nakamura walking up to him, a bored look on his face as usual.
He then stopped. Only a few feet away from the blonde.
Y/N took a deep breath. "So? How do you want to do this?"
"I don't know," Yuzuru says with a shrug. "But, I do know that I'm a bit pissed off. I'll need to vent my anger out on something."
Y/N could tell what he meant, seeing as Yuzuru was beginning to remove the uniform's jacket. This wasn't the first fight he was in.
This happened a bit back in his old school. Sighing in response, he too began to remove his uniform's jacket, folding it and putting it on his school bag.
The blonde could see that the Nakamura teen slowly walking towards him, hands in his pockets. Y/N sighed once more as he readied himself.
"Look, I really don't want to do this."
"I know."
"Really is no way of backing out of this," Y/N mutters to himself.
He goes to face the green-eyed teen, but his face morphs into pain. Yuzuru had raised his leg and thrust it forward, kicking Y/N in his stomach.
Y/N clicked his tongue, grasping Yuzuru's leg and forcing it off.
Yuzuru hummed. "You were able to take that, huh?"
"Tsk. That hurt, dammit. We're really doing this, huh? Fine, then. Let's do this."
"Getting a bit serious then? Good. At least it won't be boring."
---
A few hours had passed by and the two boys were out of breath. Both were covered in bruises as Y/N sat down, his back up against the wall.
Yuzuru was walking towards him slowly, panting heavily as he brought his arm back. Thrusting it forward, it lands right next to Y/N's head.
"Hah... Hah... H-Had enough? Your anger done now?" Y/N asks.
"...Shut up."
Completely washed over with fatigue, Yuzuru took a seat next to the Shiozaki boy, the two now staring up at the sky. The orange horizon was beginning to disappear as the night would soon grace the land of Japan.
"...Hey..." Yuzuru began with.
"Yeah?"
"What made you become interested in my cousin anyway?"
The blonde was completely taken aback by this. First, Yuzuru was trying to kick his ass for the whole ordeal with his cousin, and now, here he is trying to make casual conversation. Y/N let out a small chuckle as he closed his eyes and began to think why.
Sure, looks were a factor in it. She was beautiful, how her blue-colored hair looked with her pigeon blue eyes. Her personality was one of them too. She appeared off as someone with a cold personality, rather not making small talk, and she was a bit aggressive. But underneath all that was a kind person, and one whom is also caring towards others...well, certain people. Not only that, he's gotten to see some sides of her that not many people know.
Like her aloof and embarrassed sides when it came to their interactions. The way she blushed, smiled, laughed, giggled. Many things.
He felt similar to her.
"I wonder, anyway." Y/N responded.
Yuzuru raised his eyebrows in confusion. "What the hell kinda of answer is that?"
"Take it how you want. I just felt similar to her. She wants to make sure her family has it easy, right? It's the same with me. I want my family to take it easy, too. Dad wasn't always around a lot with his work, mom would sometimes come home late, so it would be left to me to take care of everything. I just want to make sure they live at ease."
Yuzuru grinned, "Yeah, Saki is like that, too. So? What are you going to do?"
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"I'm not dumb. I've seen how Saki was when she was around you. It generally looked like she was happy. More happy than spending time with my boring ass. So my question is, what are you going to do?"
Y/N sighed. "First and foremost, I've got to talk to her. Apologize and tell her the truth about everything."
"The truth about you and that Blaiddyd slut?"
"Heh, yeah. She's a slut, alright. I wasn't the first one she dated. I regret it to this day. I gave her everything. In the end, all she did was lie, and did shit to me that... Well, complicated stuff."
Yuzuru nodded in understanding before he got up and stretched. He then grabbed his things, along with the school uniform's jacket.
"Well, I better get back my home. I'm gonna get an earful from my sister."
"Must be tough being the youngest, huh?"
"I suppose it is. And don't worry about talking to Saki. Just leave her alone for a bit, but I'll tell her to come talk to you."
"I... Thank you."
"Don't thank me yet. Just make her happy and treat her right, we'll be fine. Understood?"
"Yeah...I do."
"Good. Glad that's been cleared up then."
The green-eyed teen walked away, leaving Y/N in his spot. It was clear to him. He had to make things right with her.
Even if she did reject him, he'd be fine with that. The only thing that mattered to him most was whether she was happy or not. That's right. That's all that matters.
