Episode 16 Sibling Tsunami

The next day...

Date October 17th, 2014

Location Tremerton Park, the annual brother-sister picnic event section

Time 12:30 PM

The next day, the annual brother-and-sister picnic had begun, with Brad and Tuck already arriving at their destination; the park was abundant with trees, tents everywhere for the picnic's events, sidewalks, rivers, and tennis fields overlooking the brown and green scenery.

But what stood out on the park picnic was the massive dam at the back of the picnic, filling a medium-sized river with water, a highly impractical design choice as it would mean that if any harm came to that dam, all innocent life would be endangered by the flood and possibly killed,

whoever had thought to build this dam in front of a picnic would have the blood and wild of many innocents on their conscience should this potential disaster come to pass...

Meanwhile, at the badminton/tennis field near the entrance to this annual event, Brad and Tuck were having a game of tennis. At the same time, they awaited the arrival of Jenny and her sisters, with Brad praying that things would go well when they arrived, while Tuck was saddened by the fact that Tyler couldn't come, as badminton was one of his favorite pastimes. Still, he also wondered if Tyler had any siblings as he placed his racket up and got ready to throw the birdie.

"Get ready to see the dude put that 'bad' in 'badminton'!" Cried Truck with arrogance as he threw the birdie upward, and after a few disastrous attempts of swinging the racket, Tuck got a hit on his birdie. It was sent flying.

As the birdie was launched over the field, Brad narrowly caught Tuck's birdie with his racket and shot it too fast for Tuck to reach with his racket. The young kid then grumbled as Brad posed with pride.

"More like lame-Minton, my lad," teased Brad, sharing that same arrogance.

Tuck looked angry as he retired his birdie and swung it hard with his racket above the tennis net.

"I'LL SHOW YOU!!" Shouted tuck as the birdie flew true

However, Brad watched the birdie come by and catch it with his racket, sending it back to Tuck, who barely caught it with his racket and swung it back at Brad, who saw the birdie again. The two brothers kept at it with badminton, having fun with this part-time sports game despite taunting each other; Tuck does his best to support his brother, and Brad vice versa. Their badminton rackets and birdies clashed repeatedly in fierce competitive combat as one could barely beat the other, with Brad being the leading player.

After 15 minutes of game time, Brad and Tuck ended their game, with Brad emerging as the victor. Tuck still had a long way to go before he could best Brad in badminton, and he also needed more practice, discipline, and humility to do it. The two brothers then sat down in a vacant area and began to converse with one another while eagerly awaiting the arrival of Jenny and her sisters.

"Hey, tuck?" Asked Brad

"Yeah, Brad?" Said tuck

"Do you think I could be as cool as Tyler or Jenny?" Asked Brad, ever the so adventurous spirit that he is,

"W-why are you asking me, Brad?" Stammered Tuck; this was all so new to him, a child whose first reaction to danger is to run and hide like a coward

"Because right now I feel you're the only one I can talk to about this sort of thing," sighed Brad, having to admit to his little brother, one of the only other "normal" people like he is,

"But Tyler and Jenny could tell you just as easily," Tuck pointed out,

"Yeah, but they wouldn't get it," said Brad. They're stronger, smarter, and all around better than me, and besides, I try to help out often, and what do I have to show for it?"

"Us being alive is one thing," said Tuck with a blunt look on the young child's face, "which everyone else also doesn't seem to get."

"...Okay, you got me there," said Brad, who couldn't bring himself to argue with Tuck when he rarely raised such a valid point. "But I try to help Jenny with her stuff with evil supervillains, and I get brushed off and hurt."

"Well, that's what you signed up for," said Tuck

"Not helping," said Brad with a scowl. "the point is, nothing interesting ever happens to me, and meanwhile, everything interesting happens to those two all that time."

"Meeting Jenny was something interesting that happened to you," said Tuck, again pointing out the flaws in his older brother's logic.

"...yeah I guess you're right," said Brad

"And you're my big brother," said Tuck. "How is that not enough for you?"

"Because their lives are much more interesting than mine," said Brad. "I mean, look at me, I can hardly ever set up a date with anybody; Jenny can do basically everything and Tyler...Tyler seems braver than you and I are."

"That was a problem before," said Tuck, pointing out tremorton and, by extension, humanity's general lack of empathy; at least their bad apples are

"Yeah, maybe tuck, but still!" said Brad. I just don't know if I'm worth it to them. They may deserve way better than me."

"Brad, you are worth it to me!" Tuck said in a surprising moment of brotherly love. You're still worth it for all of us!"

"You sure about that tuck?" Said brad

"If I wasn't, would I be telling you this?" Quipped Tuck. "the point is you, my big brother, and even though you annoy me a lot, I still love you."

"...I love you too, tuck!" Said Brad, relieved, who then hugged his little brother Tuck in a brotherly fashion

"I love you too," said Tuck. "Big bro."

"Hey, I wonder if Jenny and her sisters are here yet?" asked Brad when a lingering question featured in his mind

"Hey guys!" Called a familiar female voice,

the two brothers turned their heads to see Jenny with her prototype sisters that they fought so hard to release, XJ 1-8, with their youngest sister at their side. They stood on top of a hill overlooking Brad and Tuck's spot by a margin when the robot siblings strolled down to where they were, happy to see their friends on the day of the brother-sister picnic.

"Jenny! You made it!" Cheered Tuck as he got up out of Brad's lap and rushed over to their best friend and next-door neighbors

Tuck hugged Jenny's leg as Brad walked up, delighted they could make it to the sibling event.

"I'm glad you could make it, Jen!" Said Brad as he walked over to his best friend

"Me too, Brad!" said Jenny, kneeling to hug Tuck and raising her head at Brad. And it looked like you guys were having fun."

"We were," said Brad, "we were playing badminton."

"And he won..." said Tuck, begrudged

"Hey man," said Brad, "you would need more practice first."

"Hey, I tried at least, didn't I?" Retorted tuck. "Yeah, you were kicking my butt but still."

"Don't worry about that tuck," said Jenny, rubbing the back of Tuck's head with a metal hand. "As Brad said, all it takes is trial and error; keep going, and you'll get there."

"...Thanks, Jenny," said Tuck, who enjoyed the back head rubs of affection. You're the best!"

"You're welcome, tuck," said Jenny.

"Sigh, there she goes again," said XJ-6, "getting all the love, fame, and glory for little miss Mommy's favorite."

"Now, XJ-6, there's no need to be so rude," said XJ-4 sternly before switching to an affectionate tone. I much rather enjoy seeing our sister spend time with her friends."

"Yeah, well, what do I have?" Snapped XJ-6. "Absolutely nothing"

"Now, XJ-6, what did we discuss during your therapy sessions?" remarked XJ-5, who floated before XJ-6. There's no need to be jealous of everything besides you having us."

"Don't patronize me," grunted XJ-6 with a huff

"It is highly recommended we enjoy ourselves with our sister in this annual event," said XJ-8, who towered over them, providing a voice of reason, in which she was almost making an effort to be more sensible. "this ongoing jealousy is also counter-productive. To our therapy goals as a family."

"She's right, you know. We should be enjoying ourselves right now," said Brad, "so let's have fun!"

"Sure thing, Brad!" Jenny said, standing up after letting Tuck go. So, what do you all want to do first?"

Before anyone could answer, a voice rang out from one of the plated speakerphones in the park. Jenny and her friends turned their attention to the voice.

"Attention, picnickers." A cheerful announcer said, "The games are about to begin! Everyone heads to the designated fields, and let the fun begin!"

"Well, that was quick!" Said Brad with a smile, surprised that the events of the sibling picnic were about to begin so soon

"Come on, girls! Let's have some fun..." Cheered Jenny, rallying her prototype sisters and clapping her hands together. "Sibling style!"

"Okay!" Said XJ5 cheerfully

"Alright!" Replied Brad with a thumbs-up

And so the games of the annual brother-sister picnic finally begin; the first game the group participated in was the three-legged race; Jenny was paired with XJ-3, and Brad was paired with Tuck,

"Okay, XJ-3," said Jenny as she prepared to be physically bonded to XJ-3 by rope and looked down at her smaller sister. "This is a three-legged race."

The tiny robot nodded her mechanic optic in acknowledgment.

"We can win this!" Jenny cheered. But you gotta be quick on your feet!"

Xj3 looked at her feet when Jenny said that and looked with nervousness, worried that she may fall apart while playing a fun race with Jenny,

"Hey, don't worry, little girl," said Jenny, noticing xj3's fear with a soft expression. "Mom has done all she can to make sure you don't fall apart all the time, so don't worry, just follow my lead and let's have fun."

Xj3 looked up to Jenny and lifted her claw to give a thumbs-up gesture, her spirits lifted by Jenny's encouragement. Then the announcer's voice rang out, getting the contestants' attention.

"On your marks..." he said as the runners planted their feet and looked forward. "Get set...go!"

The racers zoomed off into the three-legged race, with Jenny and XJ3 in the lead. Their speed outmatched that of the other runners. Brad and Tuck hopped along as fast as they could, trying to catch up.

Jenny and XJ3 kept zooming through, with XJ3 keeping an optic on her joints to make sure they wouldn't be falling apart, so far so good,

they kept speeding to the finish line rope and left the racers in the dust despite Jenny trying to limit herself as soon as possible

"We won!" Jenny, panting in relief, shouted. "We did it, XJ3!"

XJ3 cheered with joy and then looked at her limbs to make sure they hadn't come off, and to her relief, they were all intact and attached; Dr. Wakeman had done her work well; XJ3 sighed with relief and high-fived Jenny, earning a slight giggle in return,

The next game event covered a tug of war, with one side, Brad and Tuck, in front of the rope to pull, with many people behind them also holding the rope, and holding the other end, over a muddy pit, was Jenny and her sisters with XJ7 and 4 looked half heartily,

"This is gonna be great!" Said Jenny. "Are you girls ready?"

Jenny got only a few nods from her sisters, with Tuck and Brad looking overconfident despite the overwhelming odds being in the XJ sisters' favor. Then the announcer rang again, making the contestants grip the giant rope tighter.

"On your marks..." said the announcer over the loudspeaker. "Get set...go!"

With one pull, XJ8 pulled the people holding the rope over to the mud pit below, much to Jenny's dismay. The people were covered in mud and, in several cases, bruises, and Jenny looked sad and regretful.

"Ugh! I'm so sorry, but you people are filthy because of us!" said XJ4, pulling out a fire hose and washing the mud off of the people. And XJ8, what is wrong with you? Those people could have been hurt!"

"Yeah, xj8," said Jenny sternly, turning to face her bigger sister. You need to know your own strength! Brad and Tuck could have also been seriously hurt!"

"I was ordered to pull the rope," said XJ8, showing a bit of empathy but still a bit of cold efficiency. So I pulled the rope to the other side."

"I think they meant to do it gently!" snapped Jenny. They're not as strong as us, so please be more careful next time! Or I'm telling my mother!"

"Yes, sister..." sighed XJ8. There was still much work to be done on her learning to control her own strength, and the same went for Jenny.

"Don't worry, Jenny," said XJ4, turning her head to face Jenny while washing the people from the mud, "I'll see that these people are all cleaned up and get medical attention!"

"Please do XJ4!" Said Jenny

Later, the xj sisters joined a few fun activities; they were more careful those times, but even then, they had their mishaps, such as XJ5 running her mouth off to some people in the park.

The prototype sisters still had much to learn about interacting with humankind, working in unison with one another, and knowing their own limits.

At that moment, Jenny joined up with her depressed sister XJ7 in a light brown grass field, walking up to her and placed her hands on her knees as she eyed the sulking prototype robot with concern.

"Hey Xj7," said Jenny, "what's got you down?"

"Oh, the usual..." said XJ7 with a depressed tone. "Life, The Universe, Our Prior Shutdown, Everything."

"Hey, don't worry about all that right now," Jenny said, looking sympathetic. Things are going to get better soon; don't worry."

Before XJ7 could respond, the two robots heard a musical track from a distance, hoedown-themed and mixed with banjos. Jenny's audio receptors traced the source of the sound. They turned their heads to the music source to see a large tent hosting a Square dance contest with stripes of red and white. As they looked at it, Jenny knew how to cheer up XJ7 for right now.

"What we both need is a good square dance!" Smiled Jenny as she strolled towards the tent. "At the Hoedown Showdown! Come on, girl!"

"Great. A crowd of humans laughing at my awkward shuffling," said XJ7 with depressed sarcasm. That'll cheer me up."

"Hey, don't think about that right now," comforted Jenny as she grabbed XJ7's hand inside the tent. "Let's have some fun!"

Jenny and XJ7 began to square dance to the beat of the banjos and violins inside the giant tent, while others also square danced, wrapping their arms around each other and spinning around in a loop. The area inside was large, with red blu,e, and yellow balloons.

As she was square dancing with Jenny, XJ7 began to feel a slight glimmer of joy, aided by her recent therapy sessions with Dr. Wakeman.

"Say this isn't so bad," said XJ7, growing an almost sincere smile

"You see?" Cheered Jenny. "Like mom said, you just gotta look on the bright side!"

But as the two were enjoying their dancing, XJ 1, 2, and 3 came into the tent, with XJ2 starting to hiccup impossibly and lose control of her plasma cannon weapon, shooting at random directions. Some of her shots hit people's hair and blew holes out of the tent.

The next moment, XJ2's misdirected shots hit a concession stand, making the whole thing fall and sending people flying. Quickly, Jenny raced to grab all the people falling down in her arms and saved one by holding up one of her legs until XJ3 sent Jenny tumbling down with all the people onto the floor hurt. She landed on XJ2, who shot at a barbecue barrel, splashing high-pressure barbecue sauce everywhere onto the people who looked at Jenny and her three sisters angrily while Jenny looked nervously.

"So what's the bright side of all of this?" Said XJ7, moping as usual as she approached Jenny

"Well, at least we're still clean," said Jenny nervously, "and we still got a few things to work out."

XJ 1 puked oil all over Jenny, who looked down in shame. Suddenly, Jenny heard a cry of fear outside the tent.

"Now what!?" Cried Jenny as she raced out of the tent, leaving all the disgruntled people behind to see XJ8 shaking a tree. As two kids watched in fear until Jenny raced up behind XJ8

"XJ8, what are you doing!?" exclaimed Jenny

"This human was blindfolded and was using a stick-type weapon," explained XJ8 with a cold tone as she pointed up to a little girl hanging by the tree branch overlooking a piñata "to vandalize a colorful paper bag."

"Ugh! It's a game, XJ8," facepalmed Jenny, annoyed, as she flew up to the branch and grabbed the kid. "It's a piñata. It's filled with candy, and the kids break it open,"

Jenny then slid down the tree and safely got the kid down to ground level.

"Candy?" Questioned XJ8: "What is this candy which you speak of?"

Hoping to defuse the misunderstanding, Jenny grabbed a roll of blindfolds and approached XJ8.

"Okay, let me show you," said Jenny as she wrapped the blindfold XJ8's optics. "First, we blindfold you, then we give you a stick."

Jenny handed her bigger sister a big stick, and then she looked up at the piñata

"Now, see if you can break the piñata," Jenny told XJ8, who looked up at the piñata

Unfortunately, XJ8 shot out purple eye blasts that burned through the blindfold and burned the piñata to ash and fire. The candy also fell out and burned to the ground tragically, much to the dismay of the children, who cried at the horrific sight of their favorite treats melting before them.

"Threat Neutralized," stated XJ8, seemly unable to comprehend the scope of her actions as the kids scurry at the burned candy

"What's the matter with you!?" Cried Jenny angrily at XJ8, whose expression turned to sorrow as Jenny stormed off in a huff. "It's just a game! Not a matter of life or death!"

"What's wrong, sis?" Asked the XJ sisters, who all appeared behind XJ8

"What's wrong?" Said Jenny, turning to face her sisters with anger before metaphorically exploding at them. "I thought this would be a fun time, but we're making a mess! I'm making a mess yet again!"

"But Jen," said XJ5 softly, "we all wanted to hang out today with you; we didn't want to upset you!"

"Yeah..." sighed XJ4 sadly "we...we didn't mean to make a mess"

"Well, we did!" Snapped Jenny with oily tears threatening to burst from her eyes, "And it's all my fault! I got those people hurt! And I just wanted to have fun!"

"How is any of this your fault?" Asked XJ5

"Because I only just wanted to fit in! And to not be ALONE!" Exploded Jenny. "Not again!"

"But Jenny, you said it yourself," said XJ7 in a depressed but comforting tone. "We all have some bugs to work out."

"Yeah, what she said," said XJ6, her better judgment overtaking her innate jealousy momentarily. "Mom's been doing her best to help us out...even though she left us to rot for nearly two decades..."

"As XJ5 had explained," said XJ8, "it was not in our mission directive to make a mess."

"But even then, think about what mom will do to ME!?" Screamed Jenny, catching the attention of the nearby citizens. "When she finds out that if I messed up with taking care of you guys, or if I messed up enough, or if I'm not good enough for anyone,...she will leave me to rust and collect dust!"

The xj sisters widened their eyes at their youngest sister and latest member's emotional outburst. It was clear this had been building up for quite some time now, ever since Jenny found out about her long-lost prototypes and that Dr Wakeman left them to rot in the basement for failed experiments, being imperfect as they were. Jenny feared she would be next on the menu when she had served her purpose, which led to her barely bottling up her emotions.

Even a few bystanders were appalled by this. Some looked at Jenny with pity, especially when some of them attended her high school. They even regretted treating her like a freak; of course, not all of them shared their pity.

"Jenny, we-"XJ6 spoke up after briefly shaking her shock.

"What? Were you going to say I replaced you?" Snapped Jenny to XJ6's attention. "That I replaced you and everyone around you? Well, guess what? I NEVER ASKED NOR MEANT TO REPLACE YOU, I NEVER ASKED TO BE REPLACED EITHER, AND I NEVER ASKED TO BE CONSIDERED A FREAK!"

As Jenny screamed at the top of her metal lungs, some of the bystanders' sympathy grew stronger, and the XJ sisters allowed their youngest member to vent as they stood there in shock and sorrow Je.nny then took a breath before barely composing herself as she looked at her sisters again in sadness

"I Just..." said Jenny before sighing depressingly and turning away to leave in shame, "...forget I ever suggested this in the first place...."

Jenny left the scene with her head hung low, and her sisters stood where they were to contemplate what Jenny had vented. They said they never meant any harm, as dr Wakeman had been working around the clock to help her children with their issues,

but it was clear to them that Jenny was also suffering in silence like they had when they were deactivated and left to collect dust when all dr Wakeman could think about was how Jenny could be doing a better job at defending the earth

Despite their differences, the XJ sisters realized they had to make things right with their youngest sister as they all looked at each other and decided that, for now, the best thing to do was to give Jenny space.

At a nearby sidewalk, three bystanders who were attendees from Jenny's school viewed and heard the scene with sorrow and sympathy as they watched Jenny leave for some peace and quiet; two of them looked at each other like they had seen a ghostly spirit.

One of those bystanders watched Jenny walk away with a sympathetic look before turning their attention to the other two bystanders.

One of the bystanders was an East Asian girl with smooth black waist-length hair. She wore a red vest with a white long-sleeved shirt under it, black boots, and black jeans.

The second bystander is another girl with long orange-red hair that went straight down save for some pointy curls. She wore brown jeans, a white short-sleeved shirt, and black shoes.

The third bystander who watched the two girls' behavior was a male teenager with a curled mullet and a dark blue short-sleeved T-shirt, red jeans, and black shoes.

"are...are we the bad guys?" Asked jantrice with a tone of remorse

"I...I don't know..." said Kiki, who shared Janice's horror. "Are we?"

"Well, considering you two had kept treating her like a freak when she's just like us, and the fact that she screamed out that she never asked to be treated like one..." replied the young man named Jaxon Marsden with a disappointed tone "and she's turning suicidal...I would say yes, we are the bad guys."

"But she-"said Jantrice before being cut off by Jaxon.

"Don't start with that again! If you two had not been treating her like she's a freak when she's just like us," said Jaxon sternly with a glare as he defended Jenny, "and if you Hadn't followed those obnoxious crust cousins around, Jenny wouldn't be feeling suicidal you two ought to be ashamed of yourselves!"

The two girls widened their eyes in realization and then looked down in shame and remorse, realizing that Jaxon was right. This would never have happened if they hadn't been so afraid of Jenny and treated her like a freak even after she saved them just because she was different.

Especially when humanity had always feared what they could never hope to control

"You know what I think you two should do?" Said Jaxon, gaining Kiki and Jantrice's attention once again. "You two should stop treating her like a freak and treat her like she's a friend of ours; after all, she saved our hides more times than I can count."

"A-are you sure we can do that?" asked Kiki with nervousness and with a conscience

"You two won't know until you try," Jaxon nodded with conviction. "I should know; Jenny and her friends were some of the best people I ever met; you two are really missing out on not being her friends, and that goes for the others back at school."

With that, jantrice and Kiki slowly looked at each other and made up their minds, realizing that the first thing they had to do When they next met Jenny at school was to make things right with her, while Jaxon looked on with pride.

Later, Jenny was seen sulking in the nearby pond and sitting behind a tree, looking upon her reflection with sorrow and shame while letting oily tears slip out of her eyes.

"I'm sorry, Mom..." sobbed Jenny. I'm sorry I'll never be good enough for you or anyone in this ungrateful town...."

"Whoever said you had to be good enough for anyone?" Said a familiar voice, and Jenny turned her head to see it was Brad

"Brad?" Asked Jenny as she saw Brad approaching her with Tuck in tow

"You know Jenny, I'm sorry that you're frustrated with your sisters and all," said Brad, who sat next to Jenny, with Tuck following. But "But you gotta understand, no one's perfect, especially family..."

"...I know my sisters have had their flaws and all from what we read while in Mom's basement," sighed Jenny, who still looked at the pond. I'm just scared of what my mom will do to them if she finds out they messed up...what she will do to me if I mess up..."

"Jenny, don't worry about that," said Brad softly. "Dr. Wakeman's trying to change for the better now, thanks to us, and so are your sisters, as they're trying to do now. You don't need to worry about Dr. Wakeman trying to replace you at all!"

"Yeah! Back then, I was super scared of you," said Tuck softly, "but now, you're the best friend we ever had in our lives! And nothing's gonna replace that!"

"I hear what you are saying, but-" said Jenny before being cut off by Brad wrapping an arm around Jenny

"Jen, look at me," said Brad with a smile. "I don't expect you to forgive her, but You don't have to be perfect for Dr. Wakeman or your sisters. Sure, there are times Tuck and I annoy or embarrass each other, but at the end of the day, we're family, and family, especially siblings, support and love each other no matter what happens!"

"Yeah! We're brothers to the end!" Cheered Tuck as he wrapped an arm around Brad in a comforting hug

True Family love unconditionally, and they fight for right!

"Hey, who's that on the dam?" Asked Brad, who looked up at the large dam to see two figures on top of it, and they seemed to be working on it

"Hmm?" Said Jenny, confused about who followed where Brad was looking. "It can't be..."

Jenny narrowed her eyes and focused her telescopic vision. On top of the dam, which was being drilled into, two ominous figures were construction worker-like criminals using jackhammers; they each had overalls, hats, and different physiques and looked quite messy, but one had grey-green colored overalls, and one had dark orange overalls,

"It is, mad hammer brothers," confirmed Jenny, who watched them at work

"the mad hammer bros!?" cried Brad in surprise while sporting a scowl at them atop the dam. "Those guys give the Super Mario Bros a bad name! Just like the Wario bros!"

"They sure do. Nintendo's gonna sue somebody tonight," said Jenny dejectedly as she fired up her rockets on her feet and pigtails. "I'll take care of them. Stay right here, Brad."

"Wait! What about Tyler?" Said Brad, getting Jenny's attention. "Should we have him call Firebird?"

"I don't know if he can make it in time," said Jenny grimly, as she was not too confident that Firebird could be deployed fast enough at this distance from the Wakeman residence to the park, "I have to stop them quickly, so we can get back to our picnic."

And with that, Jenny blasted off towards the mad hammer bro criminals, with Brad looking ever so dejected yet still confident that Jenny could handle this, given her inexhaustible arsenal.

"You can do it, Jenny!" cheered Brad as he watched her next-door neighbor's best friend take off. But his thoughts struck him: "What does it take to actually be awesome, though...and not be left behind in the dust like I'm nothing?! No...No! Focus, Brad! Lives are at stake!"

At the top of the dam, the mad hammer bros were still jackhammering the top of the dam, intent on destroying the dam and flooding the annual brother-sister picnic.

"I still don't see why we can't blow up the roller rink," the Green Hammer brother said in an Italian accent, turning his head to his brother.

"'cause everyone's here, spaz!" The Red Hammer brother insulted

"You're the spaz!" The green hammer brother snapped

"No, you are!" Countered the red hammer, brother

"You stink like a monkey butt," the green hammer brother retorted again.

"You stink like an elephant butt," argued the red hammer brother

"You stink like a spaz butt," repeated the green hammer brother, continuing the irrelevant fight further

"Enough already! I hate those jokes!" Snapped Jenny as she flew towards the mad hammer brothers to stop them. "I think it's time for this argument to end!"

"Not yet, robot girl," said the green madhammer brother with a smirk.

"Yeah, spaz!" Said the red mad hammer brother

The mad hammer brothers took out their hammers with cables on them and attached them to the back top end of the dam before jumping off before Jenny could grab them. They continued to jackhammer the dam open as they slid down laughing.

"Oh no!" Jenny cried as she looked at what they were doing. "They're gonna split the dam!"

Jenny quickly swooped down and grabbed the Mad Hammer brothers by their jump cords and tied them together as she hovered over them while holding them together.

"Okay, you two," snapped Jenny, "let's simmer down and make nice."

"You're too late, spaz bot!" Smirked the mad hammer bros together

"Too late?" Questioned Jenny before looking up at the cracks that were created, then suddenly started to slide off the dam, threatening to release three metric tons of water. "Oh no!"

Jenny dropped off the Mad Hammer Brothers at a siding of grass and looked at the Mad Hammer bros again with disgust.

"How could you guys do this!?" Cried Jenny. "When that dam bursts, it will drown thousands of innocent people!"

"Who cares? Spazz bot?" Asked the green mad hammer brother

"Yeah, nobody invited us here anyway," said the red hammer brother, "so they may as well pay the price!"

"You guys are sick, do you know that?" Questioned Jenny with disgust at the two's destructive antics. They were doing this just because they weren't invited...

Immediately, Jenny boosted her jets and zoomed to where the dam section threatened to release the water. The XJ sisters, Brad and Tuck, watched the scene from a distance and looked concerned as Jenny used all of her hydraulic strength to try and push the fractured foundation back.

"Water pressure....too strong..." Groaned Jenny, struggling and feeling herself getting pushed back. "Can't...hold it back...alone..."

"You're not alone!" Said a familiar voice

Jenny looked up to see XJ5 and her sisters flying above the scene just in the nick of time.

"you'reYour sisters are here to help!" cried XJ5, who then instructed the others, "XJ1, grease the slice!"

XJ1 flew around the walls of the fractured foundation and barf oil into it at both the left and right sides, making the structure easier to move back in

"XJ8, use some muscle!" Ordered XJ5

XJ8 then flew into the foundation with a shoulder bash and helped Jenny push it back into place; their combined strength and the applied oil allowed them to slide the broken foundation back into place, but their work was not done yet

"XJ2, it's your turn!" Cried XJ5. "Do your stuff!"

XJ2 nodded and, fired bursts of plasma blast hiccups, and welded the cracks of the foundation firmly, securing the foundation into the dam

"Tidy up XJ4!" Said XJ5

"Let's do some spring cleaning!" Cried XJ4 with enthusiasm

XJ4 then flew to the welding spots, transformed her legs into a scrapper, and wiped the hot spots, cooling them down and further securing the wielding

"Okay, XJ3. Check for workmanship!" Said XJ5 to the little robot

XJ3 gently tapped the dam rock and found that it did not break apart before giving a thumbs-up, signaling that the dam was secured and all clear. The people below were safe from the flood.

"Wow, we did it!" Jenny cheered, "You guys saved me and those people below!"

But then Jenny looked down in shame, remembering her words from earlier when she vented her frustrations with her sisters.

"And after all of the rotten stuff I said," said Jenny sadly

"That's what sisters are for," said XJ8 with a smile and holding XJ1

"Oil is thicker than water," finished XJ6 with a smile

"...just like blood," smiled Jenny

"Yeah, a few harsh words aren't going to break up the XJs!" Cried XJ5 with a smile

"That's right!" Said Jenny before the XJ sisters hugged each other. "Ain't nothing gonna tear us apart!"

Down below, the mad hammer bros awed mockingly, and the green brother had gotten his hands on a plunger that would detonate TNT.

"We hate to blow this precious moment..." said the green madhammer bro with a sinister smirk.

"But we got two tons of TNT," the red hammer bro finished. "That'll near you apart quite nicely, spazzes!!"

But before the brothers could pull the plunger, a badminton birdie struck the green mad hammer bro in the head and sent the dastardly duo rolling down the hill while getting wet from the leaked water in the dam before crashing into a tree before succumbing to unconsciousness.

Jenny and her sisters turned their attention to where that birdie came from. They saw Brad and Tuck below in a small pond from the leaked dam water. They rushed in to help Jenny and the others as they looked with satisfaction.

"First rule of badminton?" quipped Brad with a smirk, who held a badminton racket up high.

"Always watch the birdie!" Finished Tuck

"Great work, guys!" Called Jenny from above the dam

Jenny swooped down from the dam with her jets towards the TNT detonator and pulled the plunger off, dismantling it completely and rendering the TNT inert. The teenage robot then turned her attention to Brad and Tuck before rushing to them with her sisters in tow.

"I appreciate the help, guys, but What were you guys doing here?" Asked Jenny

"Well, we followed you to see the action," explained Brad, "but then we saw those mad hammer bros about to pull a real dirty trick on you, and then Tuck and I used our badminton skills to save the day!"

"Yeah, and it turns out we still got it!" Cried tuck with pride

"Well, you still have a lot to learn, little bro," remarked Brad

"Hey, I tried!" Snapped Tuck sternly

"Well, the important thing is we all saved the day..." said Jenny with a smile

"And we're all still together!" Said XJ5

"That's true," said Tuck after some thought

"Now that the fiasco is over..." said Jenny before turning her attention to the picnic. "What say we all help clean up and have more fun!?"

"Cleaning is what I'm made for!" Cheered XJ4, bringing out her cleaning tools with her four arms

"You said it, sister!" Cried XJ5 "Let's get to it!"

"YEAH!" Said the group of friends and family

They all went out to help clean up the picnic from the leaked dam water and then went on their way to have more fun at the event for the rest of the day. The XJ sisters did their best at getting better with human interaction, thanks to Jenny.

Location Wakeman Residence

Time 3:07 PM

Later, back at the Wakeman residence after a fun day at the picnic, Jenny and her sisters were debriefing Dr. Wakeman on the vents that occurred, from Jenny's emotional meltdown to the mad hammer bros incident at the dam.

"...and then Brad and Tuck hit the Mad Hammer bros with a badminton birdie, and they slammed into a tree before they set off the TNT," finished Jenny

"It was very good of those boys to save all those people at the park..." Dr. Wakeman replied before scowling annoyingly. "But for Pete's sake, can't we do anything without pandaemonium breaking out!?"

"Well... it's what we were built for," said Jenny sheepishly, rubbing a hand behind her head. "Trouble always did seem to follow us wherever we go... it's what principal Rezinski always called me anyways, nothing but a trouble magnet."

"I suppose you're right..." said dr Wakeman, "but that unscrupulous principal must realize that, as you said, trouble always comes for someone whether we like it or not...and it is often far outside our control".

"Well, the point is we all had fun, and we saved the day!" Reminded Jenny with a smile

"Yes, you sure have xj—ahem, Jenny," said Dr. Wakeman, catching her mistake. "You, the boys, and your sisters have saved everyone at the picnic today. "

"We're always happy to help dr Wakeman," replied XJ5

"Now you still have a lot to learn, my children," Dr. Wakeman reminded them, calm but a bit stern." The lessons you learn and take will never be easy, such as working as a team and learning how to interact with people while you are having fun and not causing such a commotion. "

"We'll...do better next time doctor..." said XJ4 sheepishly

"I am also ashamed of my past counter-productive actions," added XJ8, who shared a slight frown, still feeling bad for making the children cry at their piñata game

"It is alright, and again, you girls have done well today," said dr Wakeman with a smile, calming down. "And now, let us all take a rest and enjoy the rest of our afternoon off."

"Thanks, Mom!" Said the xj sisters

With that, the XJ sisters went their separate ways of the house for the day. XJ8 went to tuck XJ1 to bed, XJ3 and 2 went to their rooms, XJ6 and XJ7 went to the basement, XJ5 went upstairs, and XJ4 went back to doing what she felt was best, cleaning the house, but before Jenny could leave to her room

"Jenny," said dr Wakeman, catching her youngest daughter's attention

"Yeah, Mom?" replied Jenny

"May we sit down before you go up?" Spoke Dr. Wakeman with a soft look on her face

"Sure, Mom," said Jenny before retaking her seat. She was joined by Dr. Waken, who sat next to her. "What's up?"

"Jenny...I understand you have been scared out of your wits of me...replacing you if you made a single mistake," sighed Dr. Wakeman, knowing Jenny's trauma was all her fault

Jenny went silent for a few moments on the couch before lowering her head, gaining a soft look, and looking up to look her mother in the eye once again.

"Yes...yes, I was..." answered Jenny. "Ever since I found out you kept my sisters locked up in the attic and never told me...and how you replaced each one of them just because they were incomplete...I was scared you would do the same to me eventually."

Hearing Jenny say that, Dr Wakeman felt her heart break, but Dr Wakeman knew she deserved it. It was her fault for fracturing the family she had unknowingly created.

"Not to mention people around here still look at me like a freak," added Jenny, "and if I get replaced by you...well, maybe they won't remember me."

"Jenny, that was all my fault," admitted Dr. Wakeman, taking another step toward responsibility. "You and Tyler were right; I should never have done that to you or my children...and should have fought and advocated for you more at Tremorton High...I know I had a few parent-teacher conferences with Rezinski, but I should have stopped all the times you were treated the way you were."

Jenny listened to her mother admitting her mistake in locking up her sisters and traumatizing her thoughtfully.

"And to find out you exploded like that in front of your sisters...that was also my fault as well..." continued Dr. Wakeman. "I...I had underestimated my family and took all of you for granted...I was no different than Vexus in how she treated her minions...you are good enough to me, my daughter...I don't expect any of you to forgive me, Jenny...but if you would let me, I would like to make things right for my family."

For a moment, Jenny was silent. She didn't know how to reply; she wasn't honestly expecting Dr. Wakeman to be serious about making amends for locking her sisters up and leaving her youngest daughter scared of being replaced like the rest of them.

But by the same token, another part of Jenny was grateful to hear such words from her mother like she had been waiting for so long to hear them, to be told that she didn't need to be perfect, that she was alright as she is and that she didn't have to live in constant fear of that.

After a moment of silence and deep thought between the two, Jenny spoke up.

"... i-I'd like to do the same, Mom," nodded Jenny with a soft look on her face. "You have no idea how long I've waited to hear you say that.

"Thank you, Jenny," sighed Dr. Wakeman with relief. "Let us rebuild our family together."

"I wouldn't want it any other way, Mom," agreed Jenny.

The mother and daughter duo hugged each other warmly for the first time in nearly a month. They had both taken a significant step in redemption, mending their wounds and family bonds. Afterward, they spent the rest of the day relaxing happily.

Time 6:50 PM

Later that afternoon, at the Wakeman Residence, Jenny and her sisters were still spending time with each other and talking about what the next few days might bring.

On the workbench in the basement below, dr. Wakeman had finished her latest session of creating a tiny robot drone as a hobby of hers and looked with pride at her latest creation. The drone's shape was humanoid, with spheres as the top and bottom torso and shoulders with cylinder limbs on the arms and thighs while the armguards and leg shins were blocky yet sleek, and the head was sculpted to be humanoid, but despite all this, it was still incomplete, and dr. Wakeman had yet to choose a name for the small drone.

Dr. Wakeman then turned around to see the blueprints of the XJ Sisters' improvement plan; now that they had succeeded in saving lives alongside Jenny, this provided Dr. Wakeman with more motivation and fire in her once hardened heart to complete this project, the parts assembled for it were halfway done.

However, finishing them would still take a week and a half, dr. Wakeman knows Jenny would greatly appreciate that, as the doctor seeks atonement for her actions in indirectly hurting her children emotionally, mentally, and psychologically.

Still, she was determined now more than ever to make amends.

After overlooking the parts' progression of the XJ sisters' much-needed upgrades, the motherly scientist then turned to another set of blueprints for another project in the making; it showcased a giant robot with transformation capabilities and also showed details for the robot's arsenal of gadgets and weapons, including unique systems all of which are derived from Firebird's blueprints, these new blueprints were created for many reasons, from the success of Firebird after lying dormant for so long, jenny's loneliness, and the fact that despite the duo and their sibling's great strength and strategy, there will always be a need for new friends and new allies,

The name of this blueprint was entitled "Firebird and Jenny's (XJ9) New Comrade."

To accomplish these new sets of blueprints, dr. Wakeman had called in a favor from Skyway patrol to provide her with the necessary manpower to complete this giant robot. She reassured herself that even when constructing a new giant robot like Firebird, she would make sure they would not turn out to be precisely like armagedroid, as the team of heroes would soon be gaining a new ally and a new power even as the cluster empire plots their next evil scheme...
