Ambers POV.

So here we are running again. We're getting closer and closer to the next pack.

I'm a tad nervous to meet these new Alpha's. Not for myself mostly, but for Connor.

I hope no one tries to attack without hearing the story first. Not like Alpha Benjamin did.

After a while of running we make it to a pack. It would have taken longer, but since we only took two 30 minute breaks, we were able to make it there at nightfall.

We all shift back. Alpha Benjamin turns to us. " I don't know this Alpha that well. He's only ever come to a few pack dinners I've held over the years. His name is Alpha Lucas. He is a respected Alpha though. He may be nice, or he may be mean. Be ready for anything. " says Alpha Benjamin.

We all nod and together get ready. I take Connors hand and together we step over the packs borders.

Seconds later howls were heard. I couldn't help, but to tighten my grip on Connor's hand. He returns the squeeze.

We stand there and wait until about thirty guard wolves run up. One shifts back right away. She looked really shocked to see us.

" Alpha Benjamin, Alpha George. What brings you here?" She says.

" We wish to have a meeting with Alpha Lucas and his Luna, Bête and third in command. " says Alpha Benjamin.

She looks over everyone and spots Connor. By the small change in her look I can tell she recognized him. Then she sees I'm holding his hand and a small smile comes across her face.

" I will go speak with the Alpha as soon as we get to the pack house. Please shift and flow us. " she says.

She shifted and we did too. After they we all took off. She led us to a small patch of woods. We ran through. Connor and I side by side.

We soon broke through the tree line and ended up on a freshly paved road.

We stopped then. She shifted back, as did the other guards. We decided to follow suit.

" Our pack is a bit different from others. A lot of our pack members are mated to humans. So we want them to feel more at home. We have designed the pack grounds to look more like a little human town. " says the girl.

" That's very neat." Says Alpha Benjamin.

We all start walking to the huge house. The pack house. It's a beautiful building. The style very different like the rest of the pack. Must be more for the humans.

I look at Connor. He's looking around the pack in wonder.

We walk on following the others to the pack house. Once we make it inside it looks like the lobby to a hotel.

" Relax, make yourself at home. I'll go talk to Alpha Lucas and see if you can have a meeting with him tonight. Now, just saying it may not happen tonight since its late. Just a fair warning." She says.

" Thank you for everything. " says Alpha George.

She smiles and walks off. We all go and take seat on some of the chairs and wait.

I look at Connor. " This is a pretty neat pack." I say.

" I've always wondered what it would be like to live in a pack with humans. I mean, it must be really different with their different life styles. " Says Connor.

" Oh please, we're not that different." Says a guy's voice.

We look over. There's a smallish guy. He's a bit smaller then Connor. He has some muscles which means he has to be doing some training with them.

" No, I just... We didn't..." Says Connor.

The guy laughed. " Calm down. I'm just messing with you. I'm Matthew. I go by Matt though. " he said.

" I'm Amber, this is Connor. " I say.

" I know. I recognize him from the pack meeting Alpha Lucas held about escaped pack prisoners. " says Matt.

" I didn't do what they said I did." Says Connor.

" I know. You'd have to be really messed up in the head to kill your own mother let alone the Luna." Says Matt.

Connor sighed in relief. Matt then spotted the two Alpha's and sensed their power he bowed his head in respect.

" Alpha George, Alpha Benjamin. It is a pleasure to meet you." He said.

They smiled. " As it is you." Replied Alpha George.

Alpha Benjamin sat up more. " Your human right, if you don't mind, can I ask you a few questions? I've never spoken to a full human before. " says Alpha Benjamin.

Matt chuckled. " Feel free Sir. Ask any question you want. " says Matt.

He smiled. " What is it like being a human?" Says Alpha Benjamin.

Matt chuckled. " It's not that different from being a werewolf. We can't shift to a wolf of course, but it's ok. " says Matt.

" How did you come to be part of this pack?" Says Alpha Benjamin.

Matt sat down. " That's a good story. Turns out my best friend was the Alpha's son. He went to a public school for humans like me as well as a few others. Well, he told his best friend how great the school was and she didn't like the school she was in. She's 17. So her father transferred her to our school. She turned out to be my mate. So she started to get close to me, once my friend found out he yanked me out to the woods one day and shifted in front of me. Freaked me out, but once I knew about werewolves I was shown the pack and soon enough I moved here with my family and we were made part of the pack." Says Matt.

" That's very interesting. " says Alpha Benjamin.

" It was. " says Matt.

" I have a question?" I say.

They look at me. " How do you mark your mate if you don't have big k-9 teeth like werewolf males do?" I ask.

" That is a very good question." Says Matt.

" Which I can answer better then he probably could." Says a voice.

We look to the side and there's Alpha Lucas. We all stand up as he walks over smiling.

" When there's a male human and a female werewolf, the male doesn't have the k-9 teeth he needs at first. However, when the time comes to mark her, his body will sense it and automatically make his teeth grow in size so he can mark her. Afterwards his teeth will be exactly like a male werewolf because he will be able to connect his mind to hers. " says Alpha Lucas. 

" That's very neat." Says Alpha Benjamin.

Alpha Lucas smiled. He turned and spotted Connor. " Connor. I wasn't expecting to ever meet you. " his eyes then widened. " Oh, your here because of Connor and Alpha Conan. "

We nod. " He's declared war against our pack unless we give him Connor. He's innocent and he has what he needs to prove it. Also, he's mated to my Bête's daughter. " says Alpha George.

Alpha Lucas nodded. " I suspected he was innocent. I'll need more details. Come, we will have this meeting now and then I want you guys to take the guest rooms and stay tonight and tomorrow night to rest up before you run again. " says Alpha Lucas.

We nod. " Thank you Alpha Lucas." Says Alpha George.

" Matt, your mate is waiting for you at her house. She wanted me to let you know." Says Alpha Lucas.

Matt grins. " Thank you Alpha." He then turned and ran off, and with they we all left and followed Alpha Lucas towards the pack meeting room.
