Connors POV.

The second I tackle to boss rogue we fall into another rack of silver weapons.

I snarl and try to bite his face. However he's so big he was able to shove me off him and to the side.

I get up. As does he. " You wanna fight pup. Fine. Have it your way." Spat Fenris.

He then shifts in his wolf. It's solid black and his eyes look almost red.

His wolf is twice my size. He walks to the side. I can just barely see John working on freeing Amber while giving small glances of concern towards me.

I look at Fenris just as his wolf lunges forward.

I don't have enough time to move. He tackles me and we go rolling out of the tent and into a huge part of land that remained empty.

Blood stains and bones from dead wolves coated the ground.

I'm guessing when the rogues settle something a fight to the death is how.

Fenris gets up and walks around me. Circling me like I'm his prey.

I slowly get up and watch as he walks around.

I wait for the correct moment before I lunge forward and slice my claws across his face.

He roars and looks more angry and deadly then he did before.

The pain I'm feeling from Amber is a bit distracting.

I try to put that in the back of my mind as I watch Fenris.

I hear a snarl to the left. I look to see a wolf staring at me.

It looked as if it was smiling. Of that was even possible. That's when I realize that wolf had been a decoy.

I look back just as he tackles me. His claws enter my side and I yelp as I feel his claws tear the skin as he slices them across my side.

Stupid other rogues. I snarl and claw his face again and again. It does nothing though.

He bites into my shoulder and tosses me to the side.

I hit the ground hard before rolling to the side and coming to a stop on my feet.

I look back at him. I walked forward limping.

He shifts back though and I'm confused as to why.

He looks behind me and nods. I quickly dive forward and a silver chain just barely misses me.

I try to dodge as many rogues as I can. I even manage to tackle and kill a few.

I turn to the left. Fenris's foot come in contact hard with my side and I'm sent flying.

I hit the ground hard and roll. The second I stop I'm grabbed and they start putting silver chains on me before I can move away.

Pain spreads everywhere. I yelp and whine. Then Fenris stomps down on my leg and the bone snaps.

I howl in pain at that.

" CONNOR!!" Yelled John.

He was out of the tent and Amber was laid down to the side.

Then loud howls were heard. Fenris looks and from a distance about a hundred wolves were seen.

Most of the rogues bailed and took off out of the camp as the other wolves stormed the camp. Killing every rogue they could.

Fenris grabbed the silver chains and yanked me back.

I then saw him bring out a silver dagger. What is it with this rogue and silver?

Fear fills me. John's looking at me. I try fighting the chains, but nothing works.

Then a huge wolf tackles Fenris. He lets go of the chains and drops the silver dagger.

I then see John's protecting Amber. I need to get over there.

I start crawling over there. These chains hurt terribly. I don't care though.

Amber needs to get out of here. Now.

Then someone's by me. I look and see its Tasha's father.

He starts taking off the chains. Once their off I'm up and running over to Amber.

John moved for me and I get down by her. She's not moving and her pulse is weak.

Crap, the Wolf Bane. It's killing her. I grabbed her hand. " Amber? Please respond? Please?" I beg her.

A few seconds later I feel her hand just barely squeeze my hand back.

" It's ok Amber. I'll get you help. I promise. You won't die. I won't allow it. " I say.

I heard a laugh. " She dying. The Wolf Bane kills unless stopped at a certain time. She never got it stopped cause you guys stopped me. Now watch as she dies. " spat the boss rogue.

I gasp. I feel her pulse again. It's getting even weaker and her breathing is slowing.

The bond. ' Amber can you hear me?' I say through the mind link.

' B-Barely.' She stutters. I can barely hear her as well.

Pain starts flaring. It's a different pain. The bond. It's breaking.

I hear more howls and the boss rogue snarls. " This is far from over boy. It's only just begun. " he spat before running off and shifting.

A few wolves chased him. I look back at Amber. I'm losing her more by the second.

I look around. " Wolf Bane. Is there a cure? Is there a way to save her? Please I can't lose her. I can't!" I cry.

No one does anything. John has tears in his eyes.

' I love you Connor.' She says through the bond.

Tears start to fill my eyes as I look at her. " N-no. I can't lose you!" I say.

' Y-you did what... You c-could. Thank you.' She says. Her voice fading more and more.

I blink and a tear rolled down my face. " Please there's got to be a way... I love you so much Amber." I say.

A sob leaves my mouth and tears start to pour down my face.

I lean down and plant my lips to hers one last time.

The pain of the bond breaking is becoming overwhelming and another sob leaves my body.

I press my forehead to hers and just cry. Hoping and praying that somehow she'll be healed and won't die.

I can't lose her. She's the love of my life. My only love. My first and only love.

She somehow manages to open her eyes one last time.

I look into her eyes. " I love you Amber. So, so much. I always will." I say.

The light in her eyes starts to fade. " Please heal somehow?" I whisper.

John and Tasha's father start to pull me away from her after another minute.

I try fighting. I can't leave her. Not now, not ever. I just can't.

Then they freeze and stare in wonder at Amber.

I look and can't believe what I'm seeing either.

Her eyes are glowing blue. Her wounds are healing before our eyes.

I slowly inch forward when they let me go.

The pain is leaving. The pain from the Wolf Bane is fading. As is the pain of the bond breaking.

She's being healed somehow. How is this possible?

Then once she's fully healed I can't help, but smile.

She's healed. I take her wrist and feel her pulse. It's strong again. It's back to normal.

I lift her eyes lid. The light is there in her eyes again. The only difference now is a bit of blue is left in her left eye.

I then feel a hand on my shoulder. I look. It's her father. He had been the one to tackle the boss rogue before he killed me.

" Let's get my daughter home. Thank you Connor. " he says.

" Sir your hurt." I say. He had been pretty injured.

" I'll live. " says Amber's father.

I nod. I'm still pretty hurt from the silver and my leg being broke. So Amber and I rode on the back of Tasha's fathers wolf.

He was huge so hopefully we didn't weigh to much.

As we run back to her pack I feel a lot of relief. I keep my hands holding Amber safely on as we run.

She's safe and alive. That's all that matters to me. We'll deal with everything else later. For now we're headed back to get help. Care for the wound and what we all need after a fight like this. Rest.
