Connors POV.

John and I are out of his packs territory finally.

The scent were following keeps getting stronger and stronger.

We're getting closer. It's still dark, but getting closer to daylight.

John grabbed a few bags of clothing for us that was hidden around the woods for when we needed it.

I don't know how long we've been running, but it's worth it if I get to save Amber.

As we get closer the mate bond gets stronger. I can't sense her more so I know I'm going the right way.

I can feel something sorta like fear. I know she's scared.

I would be to if I was in her position. I'm just glad she's alive.

Suddenly I feel a very sharp pain in my arm.

It's so sudden I stumble a second and a small whimper leaves my mouth.

I'm still as my wolf so I slow my pace for a second.

John slowed a little. He was looking at me.

I pick back up the pace. It was probably just a small cramp from running.

However that feeling of fear has gotten even stronger.

Something is happening now. I run faster.

So fasts John's having trouble keeping up.

Suddenly pain flared from the same arm slowly through my body.

So bad, so sudden. I trip and go rolling.

I shift back fast and let out a yell clutching my arm.

I have handled bad wounds, but this hurts worse then that.

It burns. Suddenly John's there. " Connor what's wrong." He asked.

" D-don't know. Pain just started. I-it's like it's not even my own p..." I then gasp and my eyes go wide.

So does John's. If it's not my pain. This is what Amber is feeling, but way worse then this.

I don't care if it hurts anymore. " John he's hurting her. I'm feeling Amber's pain. Come on we got to move."  I say getting up.

" Will you be ok?" Says John.

I glare at him. " John if I'm feeling this Amber's feeling worse. I don't care if I can handle it or not. Someone needs to save her and darn it. I'm gonna do just that. I'm her mate. It's my job. Now come on." I snap.

He nods and we both shift again and take off.

We run as fast as we can. ' Amber. Can you hear me?!' I say over our mind link. Trying again, hoping it works this time.

It take a few minute before something happens. ' Connor help me!' She cried in my head. It worked. We can talk again.

I howl. John looks at me. ' Don't worry Amber. I'm almost to you. I'll save you. ' I say back.

' Hurry.' She cried.

I run even faster. Pushing myself. As I get closer and closer the pain get worse and worse, but I don't care.

I need her safe. ' Hang in there baby. I'm almost there.' I say.

Soon it's early morning by the time we see a huge camp.

We slowly come to a stop and go behind trees and shift.

We get into the clothes John grabbed us.

" You think this is it?" Says John.

" I know it is. " I say.

' Amber. I'm right outside a camp of tents and one building. Is this where you are?' I ask.

' Yes, yes. I'm in a tent. Close to the building.' She says.

Then I hear a loud scream. It was Amber.

John grabs my arm to keep me from running straight to the sound.

" No if you go now you'll get killed by rogues. We got to go around and sneak in." Says John.

I sigh and nod. " Come on. Let's hurry then." I say.

We then start walking around the side of the camp. Hiding behind trees and making sure no rogue spots up.

" When you fell earlier I alerted my father as to where we are. He's coming with a bunch of guards. He should be here soon to help." Says John.

I nod. " She's in that tent. I sense the bond strongest there. " I say.

John and I sneak over to it. John and I make sure no rogues see us before we run into the tent.

Our eyes widen at the sight of so many silver weapons and tools.

We quickly dive behind a rack of weapons.

" Do you see her?" Whispers John.

I slowly peek my head around the side and look around. Then I spot her.

John has to clamp a hand over my mouth and pull me back to keep me from giving our position away.

" Ok so she is here. Now we need to make sure there's no rogue here. Especially the boss rogue. " says John.

I sigh and nod. It's a good thing I brought him along or I'd probably be dead by now.

He then let's go. ' Stay calm Amber, but I'm in the tent. I have my eyes on you now. Are there any other rogues here with us?' I ask looking around the rack or weapons again and staring at her.

I see her hand twitch. ' N-no... F-Fenris left... A while ago.' She stuttered.

I nod. " It's clear. She says they are all gone for now." I whisper to John.

He nods and followed me as I crawl out from behind the rack of weapons and make my way over to her.

I check anyway and make sure there is no rogue here.

Once I'm sure I stand up and run over to her.

I gently place my hand on the side of her face.

She has silver cuffs around her waist, ankles and wrists keeping her pinned to the wooden chair.

She has tears constantly running down her face.

She's whimpering. " Amber I'm here. It's me. I brought John with me. We're going to get you free. I promise. You'll be ok." I say to her.

She weakly opens her eyes. " H-He used Wolf Bane. " she says weakly.

I look at her arm. Fear and panic fill me even more.

Her arm is bleeding badly. He cut it with silver. That's what I felt. The bad pain that made me fall, that I'm still feeling now. It was the pain of the Wolf Bane.

" John take care of her arm. I'm gonna try to get her free. We need to get her home now. I..." I'm cut off by a evil laugh.

John's eyes widen as he looks behind me. I froze when I heard the laugh.

Suddenly I'm yanked back by the back off my shirt and tossed into a rack of weapons.

I hiss in pain as my skin touches some of the silver.

I look up at who threw me. The boss rogue is standing over me.

" Well you've grown a lot since the last time I saw you." Spat the boss rogue.

I slowly get to my feet. Out of the corner of my eyes I see John taking care of Amber's arm. Tying some of his shirt around it to stop the bleeding.

" Well a lot of stuff has happened since the last time you saw me." I spat.

He smirks. " Did you really think you could just walk in here and take her? Boy you really need to think things through." Says Fenris.

He walks closer to where I have to look up to see him.

" My main concern is getting her safe. " I say.

" Awe so sweet. Your to late though. If I don't stop the Wolf Bane from damaging her brain to much she's as good as dead. She's already begun to still. " spat Fenris.

I back away. Then we hear a snap and both look. John's managed to rip off the cuff around her waist.

His hands are burned, but he's working on getting the others off her.

" YOU FOOL. I'LL KILL YOU." Yelled Fenris.

He ran at John who suddenly looked very scared.

I gasp. " NO. STAY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY!!" I yell running at him.

Then just before he grabs John. I shift into my wolf and tackle him.
