Connor and I are laying on the ground. My head resting on his chest.

We've been laying there and talking for a while.

We tried the mind link between the two of us. It's awesome.

Now I can talk to him when he's in wolf form.

As the minutes tick by I can't help but to wonder as to how tomorrow will be.

What will happen to the pack? How many innocent wolves will die protecting our home from these rogues?

" Don't panic Amber. Remember this important fact. Cassandra, Clayton and I will be here in the woods to help defend your pack." Says Connor.

" Our pack. Once this entire thing is cleared up, you will be joining the pack." I say.

He smiles. " That would be nice. Being a part of a pack that doesn't want to put me in jail." Says Connor.

He then turns to me. " Even better. Once we solve things with my father, maybe we could take over my old pack. " says Conner.

" Hopefully one day that will come true." I say.

He smiled. After that the two us just laid there in silence.

' AMBER HURRY BACK!!' Yelled John over mind link.

I jump awake and see it already the early start of morning. Crap I should've been back way before now. We fell asleep. Crap.

' What? What's wrong?'I say back.

' Mom and dad know your gone. Their going ballistic. You need to get back now!!" Says John.

' Crap. I'm on my way.' I say back.

I then jump up and so does Connor.

" What's wrong?" He says. Then he sees what it looks like outside.

He quickly runs behind a tree and quickly shifts, come back and gets down by me. I get on his wolf.

I have my bag packed and together we take off for home.

Crap this is so bad. Mom and dad know I snuck out.

They may think I got taken by the rogue.

Whatever, I need to get back fast.

' Don't worry. I'll get you there as fast as I can.' Says Connor over our mind link.

' Ok.' I say back.

We run fast through the woods avoiding trees and small little ditches.

Soon Connor stops. ' I can't go any further. If I do they'll smell my scent. ' says Connor.

' Don't worry. I got it from here. Thank you Connor. I love you.' I say.

' Love you to. Now go. Get somewhere safe! ' Says Connor.

I nod and take off running back towards my yard.

Soon I make it to the back yard and run to the front where Alpha George. My parents, John, Tasha, her father, and Kurt are standing.

My parents spot me first. " Amber. Oh my gosh. Where the heck have you been!!" Yelled my mother as I made it to them.

" I thought I saw something out there." I said.

Ok not the best excuse.

" So you went out there on your own when you know very well there is a huge rogue coming after you?!" Yelled my father.

" Yes I know. Bad idea, but I'm back and I'm safe." I say.

" Yes and until this stupid thing is done with you are not leaving our sight. Understood." Says my father.

I nod. " Yes Sir." I say.

Just after I say that howls were heard everywhere throughout the woods.

" Rogues. About two hundred of them have passed the borders. A few of our guards are down. Be prepared. Their coming this way." Says Alpha George.

Crap, that was way more then I thought.

What about Connor? That many will kill him.

John placed his hand on my shoulder. " It's ok. We'll protect you. " says John.

" It's not myself I'm worried about." I whisper.

John nodded. " Don't worry. He can take care of himself." Says John.

I nod, really hoping he's right.

" GET READY. " yelled Alpha George.

" Shift now!!" Yelled my father.

All of us, including myself, shifted into our wolves.

Seconds later rogues were flying out of the woods, and the fight begins.

It was Tasha, Kurt, and John's job to make sure I stay safe while I help out with killing the rogues.

Everyone from my pack took off and started attacking the rogues.

I look around. This is crazy. Rogues were dying left and right and so were some of the guards.

Then I notice some are running straight at me.

The other three are killing off some rogues getting to close so I prepare myself and kill the two rogues as they made it to me.

' Connor are you ok?' I say over our mind link.

' Yeah I'm good. Don't mind link. Just stay safe. Please?' Says Connor back.

I don't even respond. I then hear a loud yelp and look to see John was losing a fight between four rogues. Huge ones.

I take off and tackle two off him and together we kill the four rogues.

Howls sound out throughout the entire pack area from the rogues. However one is way louder then the rest.

The boss rogues.

I looked around for it, but I don't see it anywhere.

However I do spot Connors grey wolf far away in the woods fighting off rogues as well.

Then I'm tackled by a few rogues and am pinned to the ground.

I yelp out in pain as the claws from on of the rogues pierces my skin.

I look over and see it wasn't rogues that pinned me down.

It was the boss rogue.

I let out a howl for help, but everyone is so crowded by rogues.

Then I see something horrible. Tasha and John are protecting a limp body.

I know for sure its Kurt. He was still a tad hurt from the silver. He shouldn't have been fighting. Please don't let him be dead.

Then the boss rogue is tackled off me. Once I'm standing again I can't believe who it was that tackled the boss rogue.

Panic fills me. Connor and the boss rogue are fighting.

Snarls and loud growls are heard. Holy crap. Connors out in the open.

I then see Alpha George and my father look.

Connors in front of me, keeping the rogue away.

' NO DON'T. PLEASE!!" I yelled.

It's to late though. Connor is tackled and pinned down by Alpha George and my father.

Other wolves go to attack the boss rogue, but it's to late.

The boss rogue has lunged over them and somehow grabbed me as o tried to run.

The boss rogue took off with me.

' CONNOR!!!' I yell.

Connor has shifted back from the power of Alpha George. He's in the clothes he had. Just the pants though.

" AMBER NOO!!! LET ME GO. I NEED TO SAVE HER. PLEASE?! AMBER!!!" Yelled Connor. Rogues are blocking the way for John to run after us.

That's the last thing I heard before their to far to hear and I'm taken away by the boss rogue.
