Uniformed Camp
Audrey's POV.
The pink door with the same cross embroidery on it creaked open when I hesitantly started to push open the door.
"Hello," I called inside the pink house.
"Hello, you must be Audrey," a crazed older woman greeted.
"Yes, I'm here for the introduction of the camp," I replied trying to act innocent.
"Well, your uniform is over in this drawer by your bed. The rules are simple here, don't act upon your urges or you get the stick. We will have a training program to straighten you up," she said.
"Will do, thank you Mrs. Sanders," I replied in a calm tone trying not to cringe.
"Today is orientation for all of the newcomers. Get changed into your uniform and meet me in the church in the center in 15 minutes," she informed.
"Alright," I replied. I opened the drawer to see a button up shirt that was a pepto bismo pink with a dark pink skirt. This made me want to vomit, they were not just trying to change our sexuality but, they want to enforce gender roles. Quickly, I changed into the outfit to see a large binder named same sex feelings to straight 101.
"That is disgusting isn't it?" A girl claimed behind me. I looked behind me to see a taller girl with short brown hair in a red and black flannel.
"Yeah, who are you?" I asked.
"My name is Abby, yours?" she asked.
"My name is Audrey. You here for the same reason? Parents?" I asked
"Yep, they got pissed off when I cut my hair. They started to stick their noses into my life and found out I was gay. That is why I'm here," she claimed.
"My parents found out though my magazines of cute girls in my room," I said.
"Man that sucks for the both of us," she claimed.
"This place seems like hell," I replied.
"Yeah, my strategy is to not take anything they say to heart," she replied.
"Fake it till you make it, right?" I said
"Pfft! man you are awesome. Let's be friends in this hell," she laughed as she offered me her hand. We both got ready and headed to the asylum/ church same thing right.
"Hello you two," Mrs. Sanders chimed.
"Hi Miss," I replied.
"Come sit in the circle with all the new recruits," she instructed. We went to sit in hard plastic chairs you would see in a elementary school. There were about 8 kids besides Abby and I. "Tell us your name and disease," she informed.
