Chapter 36

The dim room smelled of rust and damp stone, the tension in the air thick enough to cut with a knife. The only sound came from the faint drip of water somewhere in the corner, each drop echoing like a ticking clock. The three men—Taehyung, Jungkook, and Jin—sat against the cold wall, their hands cuffed behind them, their faces bruised but their eyes burning with unyielding defiance.

The heavy iron door creaked open, and the Rawal brothers strode in, their presence as suffocating as the room itself. Angshuman led the way, his sharp gaze scanning the captives with a mix of disdain and amusement. Vikram followed, his steps measured but his expression dark, while Utkarsh trailed with an air of boyish arrogance that barely masked the storm simmering beneath the surface.

Angshuman stopped a few feet away, his hands tucked casually into his pockets, his calmness unsettling. "Gentlemen," he began, his voice a low drawl, "I hope you’ve been comfortable."

Taehyung’s lips curled into a sneer. "Cut the crap and get to the point. Or are you here just to gloat again?"

Utkarsh smirked, stepping closer. "Patience, Taehyung. We’ve come to share some... news."

Jungkook’s jaw tightened. "News?" he spat. "What? That you’ve finally realized how pathetic this entire scheme is?"

Vikram chuckled darkly, leaning against the wall, arms crossed. "Not quite. See, when this all started, we were only interested in settling a score. A little revenge, a little humiliation. But now..." He paused, his smirk widening, "...things have changed."

Angshuman took a deliberate step forward, his voice dropping to a chilling softness. "Now, it’s no longer just about revenge. It’s about them—Angshi, Madhushree, Kajal. What started as a game has turned into something else entirely. Something... deeper."

Taehyung’s eyes narrowed dangerously. "What are you saying?"

Utkarsh grinned, the gleam in his eyes almost predatory. "We’re saying we’re going to marry them. Each of us. And trust me, they’ll come to us willingly."

The room fell silent, the weight of their words sinking in. Then, Jin laughed—a low, incredulous sound that echoed off the walls. "You’re delusional. You think they’d ever choose you over us? You don’t even know what love is."

Jungkook leaned forward as much as his restraints allowed, his voice steady but laced with venom. "Angshi, Madhu, and Kajal aren’t pawns in your twisted game. They’re strong, and they love us. You don’t stand a chance."

Angshuman’s gaze snapped to Taehyung, his smirk deepening. "Love, you say? Tell me, Taehyung, has Angshi ever told you about the way her voice trembles when she’s cornered? About the fear she hides behind those fiery eyes?"

Taehyung’s jaw clenched. "You don’t know a damn thing about her."

Angshuman’s tone turned mocking. "Don’t I? I’ve seen the cracks in her armor, Taehyung. She might act strong, but deep down, she craves stability. Security. And I’ll be the one to give it to her."

Taehyung’s eyes burned with fury. "She doesn’t need you. She already has someone who loves her unconditionally—someone who sees her strength and stands by her, not tries to control her."

Angshuman chuckled darkly. "Unconditionally? That’s such a fragile word, isn’t it? Let’s see how unconditionally she loves you when she realizes the life I can offer her. Power. Prestige. A name that commands respect. Can you give her that, Taehyung?"

Taehyung strained against his cuffs, his voice a low growl. "Angshi isn’t for sale. And no matter what you think you can offer, you’ll never have her heart."

Vikram stepped forward, his sharp gaze cutting into Jungkook. "And what about you, Jungkook? Madhu’s always been the strong one, hasn’t she? Carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. But you’re nothing but a liability to her."

Jungkook’s eyes flared with anger. "Don’t you dare talk about her like that."

Vikram smirked. "Oh, but it’s the truth, isn’t it? She doesn’t need a boy playing protector. She needs a man who can match her fire, who can tame her."

Jungkook snarled. "Madhu doesn’t need taming. She’s perfect as she is, and she’ll never bow to someone like you."

Vikram leaned in, his voice dropping to a whisper. "We’ll see about that. When she’s standing by my side, you’ll understand what it means to lose everything."

Utkarsh, meanwhile, had crouched down in front of Jin, his smirk playful yet sinister. "And then there’s Kajal. So fiery, so unpredictable. Tell me, Jin, how does it feel knowing that her spirit will soon belong to me?"

Jin’s eyes hardened. "She’d rather burn the world down than be with someone like you."

Utkarsh’s laugh was light, almost amused. "Oh, I don’t doubt her fire. But fire can be redirected, reshaped. She’ll learn to trust me, to rely on me. And when she does, there’ll be no place for you in her life."

Jin’s voice was cold, unyielding. "You underestimate her. Kajal’s loyalty isn’t something you can buy or force. She’ll never give up on the people she loves."

Utkarsh’s grin widened. "We’ll see. I love a challenge, after all."

The Rawal brothers exchanged knowing glances, their confidence unshaken.

Angshuman straightened, his voice cutting through the tension like a blade. "Here’s the truth, gentlemen: This isn’t a game anymore. It’s a war. And we always win."

Vikram stepped forward, his gaze boring into Jungkook. "Watch closely as we take everything from you—heart, mind, and soul. Watch as the women you claim to love choose us instead."

Utkarsh added with a sly grin, "And when they do, remember this moment. Remember how powerless you were."

The Rawal brothers turned and left, the door slamming shut behind them. The sound echoed in the chamber, leaving the captives in tense silence.

"They won’t get away with this," Taehyung muttered, his voice a vow.

"No, they won’t," Jin agreed, his eyes hard.

Jungkook’s lips curled into a determined smirk. "We’ll show them what happens when you mess with us—and with the women we love."

The room seemed to hum with their unspoken resolve, the air crackling with the promise of a battle yet to come.
