Chapter 30

As the first light of dawn crept over the horizon, the top station of Munnar Hill transformed into a breathtakingly beautiful haven. The air was crisp and cool, with a hint of mist that lingered from the night, carrying the sweet scent of tea leaves and fresh earth. The rolling hills, covered in a lush carpet of emerald green tea plantations, stretched as far as the eye could see, meeting the horizon at a perfect curve.

The atmosphere was alive with the vibrancy of nature, and the top station of Munnar Hill was bathed in an ethereal light, as if the very essence of beauty had been distilled into this one, perfect moment. As the sun rose higher in the sky, its warm rays cast a golden glow over the landscape, illuminating the mist-shrouded valleys, hills, and the lives of our three duo.

Where on the terrace both Angshi and Taehyung experienced each and every second of this divine majesty of sunrise of Munnar hills from the top station laying in each other's arms, feeling each other’s warmth in the crisp cold atmosphere. Each others warm breaths on each others cold yet warm skin sensing the sensation of love and adoration. The sunrise sparkled in their eyes. Looking at each other and snuggling more into each other in that shawl of Angshi. Both saw the sun rising in each others eyes rather than in the scene and greeted good morning in their most special language... Eye language. Their fingers of wrapped hands of each othet intertwined under the shawl, the only sound around them being the gentle rustling of the morning breeze and their synchronized heartbeats. No more words were needed. Just two souls talking with  each other in their unrecognizable language.

In Madhu's room, Madhu stirred first, her eyelids fluttering open as the memories of the previous night slowly settled into her mind,  realizing that she was—still wrapped in Jungkook's embrace, adoring his peaceful yet tear stained face promising herself to be his cure. Where Jungkook after just this thinking of Madhu still and hugged her tighter whispering "I know you will and you are as I am your cure" like he was the listener of what she was not even speaking. Without a word, he leaned in slowly and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead, lingering just a little longer than necessary. His eyes searched hers, something unspoken passing between them—a fragile understanding that words couldn’t quite capture which guided him in hers eyes to find and he found out. Now there were no walls, no pretenses—just two souls who had found solace in each other’s arms, ready to face whatever came next together.

Sunlight filtered gently through the curtains, casting a warm glow across Kajal's room. She stirred, her face soft and peaceful, the tension from the night before completely gone. In Jin's room, the morning light spilled across his bed, where he lay with one arm flung over his head. He woke slowly, the corners of his lips tugging into a relaxed smile as he recalled Kajal's nervous yet heartfelt apology and their playful banter afterward. Both of them took their steps towards each others room and meet at the middle of the doorway. Their eyes met, and for a moment, no words were needed—just a soft smile that spoke volumes. Their conversation became light, after the previous day’s tension nothing but a distant memory, as if the unspoken connection between them had only grown stronger overnight.

As the morning progressed, the serene ambiance of the top station slowly gave way to the soft sounds of the bustling hotel staff. A cheerful call came from the beltboys, their voices cutting through the tranquility to announce breakfast. They moved from room to room, gently knocking and urging the guests to assemble on the terrace.

Angshi and Taehyung, still wrapped in their cozy embrace, reluctantly parted but exchanged a soft look that spoke of the bliss they had just shared. Downstairs, Madhu gently stirred Jungkook, who smiled faintly, his earlier vulnerability now replaced by a glimmer of quiet contentment. Jin and Kajal, who had shared a moment of laughter earlier, joined the others with ease, their bond visibly stronger after the previous day's tension.

The terrace had been transformed into a breakfast haven, with an assortment of dishes spread across a large wooden table. The aroma of freshly brewed tea, fluffy pancakes, and steaming South Indian delicacies wafted through the air. Everyone settled into their seats, the atmosphere filled with soft laughter and light banter. The cool breeze carried with it a sense of calm, yet Angshi couldn't shake a gnawing unease that had settled in her chest.

Her eyes flitted to the surrounding hills, scanning the lush greenery as if searching for something amiss. Taehyung, noticing her distraction, gently placed a hand on hers. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice tender yet tinged with concern. Angshi hesitated before nodding, but her grip on his hand tightened ever so slightly.

Just as she began to dismiss her feelings as nothing more than paranoia, the waiters brought in a fresh round of dishes. The food looked delicious, but Angshi couldn’t shake a strange sense of foreboding. Taehyung, oblivious to her growing unease, playfully fed her a bite of idli. She ate reluctantly, her stomach twisting—not from hunger but from the growing weight of her intuition.

Moments later, she noticed something strange. Kajal’s laughter, which had been so lively a moment ago, faltered. Jin, who had been mid-sentence, suddenly swayed in his chair. Jungkook’s glass slipped from his hand, shattering on the ground as his head drooped. Madhu's fell on the ground which dish in her hnds as she was on way to serve Jungkook some vadas. One by one, they began to slump over, their movements sluggish and eyes fluttering closed.

Angshi’s breath hitched as she realized something was terribly wrong. Her own vision blurred, the edges of the world turning hazy, but she fought to stay conscious. Taehyung, sitting beside her, was the last to falter, his hand still reaching for hers as his head fell forward. Angshi’s pulse thundered in her ears as she clung to the remnants of her awareness.

Through the fog of her fading vision, she saw them—figures dressed in black, their faces obscured by masks. They moved swiftly and efficiently, dragging Taehyung, Jin, and Jungkook away from the terrace. Angshi wanted to scream, to fight, but her body betrayed her. Darkness crept into her mind as her head fell against the table.

Just before unconsciousness claimed her, she forced her eyes open one last time. Through the blinding sunlight and the haze clouding her mind, she caught a glimpse of the masked men disappearing into the distance, her loved ones in tow.

And then, everything went dark.
