Chapter 1: Satan's Godchild.

----3rd person's pov----

It's been a few years after the terror mask left (Y/N) on the doorstep of the rose's/branwen's, and he has been with the child by hiding within his body, almost like he was a parasite.

Having done this, he could see what his Godchild saw, and what started out as a loving family.... turned into a hell he unknowingly put the boy into.

Even now, he sees what the boy sees, and it made the terror mask retch in disgust.

----Terror mask's pov----

I saw him hurting.

.... 4 years.....

.... for 4 years.... I sat back and saw him get hurt...

.... for as long as 4 years, I did nothing!

Why!? Why didn't I just appear from his body and slaughter them all!? I had multiple chances, and could take them with ease.... but whenever I saw his face.... I didn't.

His face held hope. A hope that he'd eventually be loved and accepted by them.... I wish he would understand.... that he won't get that....

"(Y/N), why would you do that to yang!?" I was inside him, and I saw that he was getting punished for what that little blonde brat did.

'Why are they hurting HIM instead of HER!? SHE BROKE THAT VASE! SHE FRAMED HIM, DAMNIT!'

"H-he got me hurt!" I saw the brat having fake tears, and she gave my nephew a smug grin the second her mother turned to face us. How I would love to drive her through the ground until she begs for me to stop.

----(Y/N)'s pov----

"But, I didn't-"

"ENOUGH! How could you do that to your sister!?" I flinched from her yell, and kept my head down.

Walking upstairs, I saw yang mouthing 'freak' to me. Heading to my room, I opened and closed the door. Nothing much is in here, just a bed, drawer with a mirror, and a closet.

Sitting on my bed, I turned around to look out the window, and saw the clouds moving by. Everything was so peaceful after that.

Nothing seemed wrong, and every little problem that I had, was gone before my eyes. I almost smiled, until I heard my door open.

I saw ruby walk in with yang, and they both walked to me. Their faces already said that they wanted to hurt me.

"Well, what's up with you? You look like an idiot looking out the window!" Yang said to me, and ruby giggled. "What? Are you sad because mom and dad don't love you?"

I heard what ruby said, looked away from them and the window. Laughing at me, they walked out of my room, but before they left, I heard yang say something that made me angry.

"Mom and dad said that your parents probably died and someone left you, but I think that your parents never wanted you in the first place. Why would they!? You're a waste of time!"

After they left, I waited a good few minutes before I was sure they were gone. I began to cry and whimper from all the things that they did to me.

Taiyang never considered me as his son, he saw me as a small punching bag.

Summer was never motherly to me, instead she just looked at me like a stain on the carpet, and wanted to get rid of me.

Qrow never did anything-no, wait, she did do something.... she never bothered to try and help me, instead she just belittled me any chance she got.... her drinking habits didn't help with that, either.... she actually gave me a scar on my right eye after one night...

Raven.... she wasn't able to look at me without having disgust written all over her face..... it was easy to tell that she never liked what she saw....

Ruby and yang.... they were nice before.... but now.... they've been beating me up for laughs.... like I was the perfect target...

Zwei was actually the only one who never hated me... he played with me when everyone left the house. Whenever I got hurt, he licked my cuts and tried to cheer me up.... he was the only one to actually love me.

"...... I hate them..... I hate them so much.... "

'You and me, both, kid.'

Jumping in shock, I looked around my room to see who was talking to me.

"I'm starting to go insane.... " 'no, you're not. I'm right here, kid.'

Quickly turning around and looking up, I saw a mask.... a really cool one, at that.

Getting off the ground, I stood up and stared at the mask... and I felt a sense of calmness... one that I'd get if I was looking at someone who I knew very fondly.

"Who.... who are you?"

'.... a friend.... and one that knew your parents, kid... "

I felt my eyes widen at what he said. "My parents!? You knew my real mom and dad!?"

The mask chuckled, and sighed. 'Yeah. I knew them both. Your father, especially. He was actually the one who asked me to be your guardian if he wasn't around you at all.... a time I wished didn't come.... '

The masked looked sad when he mentioned that. Walking to my door, I heard everyone downstairs, and they seemed to be having a good time. The mask floated near me and he overheard what was going on. He turned to me.

'... kid... let me ask you something... '

"... hmm?... "

'... Do you want to come with me?... '

"!?"

'... I won't force you... but it's your call, kid... '

I kept looking at him in shock. I was able to leave these... people.... leave them and live with the mask?...

"What.... what's the catch?"

The mask laughed at my response, and he let me hold him. Staring at the eyes of it, I held it closer.

'No catch, kid. I just want you to choose.... but if you come with me... '

I brought the mask closer to my face.

'... if you trust me... '

I placed it near right on my face.

' ... if you put. Me. ON.'

After I did.... I felt nothing.... until I felt pain... excruciating pain. Falling down and writhing in so much pain.

'I'm sorry, kid.... I'll try to ease it up.... '

After what felt like an eternity, I stood up from the ground... feeling... fine, great, actually! Like I was incomplete for the majority of my life, and now, I'm whole!

One lance from my mirror, I saw that my body was the same... except....

"did I ever have muscles?"

'That's me at work, we're a team, now. You watch my back, I watch yours, got it?'

Nodding in agreement, the mask came off, and I was back to my normal self. He then started to shake, and a fleshy body appeared. From what I saw, it looked like a man was skinned... but when he held my cheek, his hand wasn't bloody, or cold. It was warm, and soothing.

'Ready to go?'

I soon ran past him and grabbed a backpack. Filling it with clothes, toothbrush, and other possessions, but before I continued, I looked at him.

"... uhh... "

'Hmm?'

"... can.... can you please trash my room?... "

'... why?... '

"... I want them to think that I was taking by some grimm.... I want them to hurt... I want them to suffer the loss of a child... "

The mask didn't move from his spot, and had his arms crossed. He soon started to laugh. "... alright, kid... " he walked to me and kneeled down to my level, and patted my head.

"... ? ... "

'Let's get us some payback.'

I hugged his legs when he said that, and he hugged back. He then carried me to the window, and opened it. Going out to the roof, I walked away from the window, and the mask went and trashed my room.

'Hey, this good?' I saw what he did, and... it was pretty awesome. Everything looked like it was mauled by a grimm. He even went and added blood from his body.

After he walked out from the window, he picked me up, and waved his hand in a circular motion. A weird blur swirl appeared in the air, and he started to crouch.

"?... uh... what's-"

'I'm gonna jump. Hang on tight.'

He then jumped, and the force was strong enough to destroy the wall nearby by, making my room more visible.

What I didn't see or hear, was someone calling out my name.

----Summer's pov----

... he's gone.... my son is gone.

We all heard what sounded like a grimm was in the house, only for us to see... something... it wasn't a grimm.... but the aura it gave off... was far more intimidating and terrifying than any what grimm could give off.

"... no... no, no, no, NO, NO, NO, (Y/N)!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, hoping that he'd hear me... but instead... he smiled at the creature who had him in his arms. The portal closed, and soon enough... he was gone.

My baby boy is gone....

"... what have I done?... what have I done?... " I started to break out in tears, and screamed for my son to come back to me in my arms. Tai simply held me in his arms, and tried to comfort me.

Qrow and raven saw what happened. Raven started to chase after them in the direction where the portal was, and Qrow... I saw her trying to calm ruby and yang down after they saw their brother being taken away by that.... that... thing... the only thing I'm certain what was on our minds was this....

'... What have we done?... '

----Terror mask's pov----

After that, we landed in a grassy field, and I let the kid down.

"So, is this your home?" I heard him ask, and he looked around and saw a large house. It was slightly damaged, and the paint faded a bit, but it was still good on the inside.

'Yeah.... in fact... this was your real parent's home... they've been gone for so long, that they decided to give you the home, in case you needed a place to stay... so, technically.... this is YOUR house.'

I held out my hand, and we both walked up to the front door. It took some time, but after opening it, the interior was still in good condition. Just slightly dusty.

'Kid.... ' he looked up to me, and I smiled.

'Welcome home.'

He smiled, and hugged my legs. Kneeling down, I returned the favor. Rick, I promise you, I'll make sure that he'll never go through what you and I went through.

----3rd person's pov----

Soon enough, (Y/N) forgot about the pain he went through with his adoptive family, and began to live a better, happier life with his new family. Trained by the mask, he was soon able to wield the mask's power at a young age.

The other side of the spectrum, was a whole other story. Summer began to fall into a state of depression after that night, and Tai, qrow, and raven began to search for their missing son/nephew. Ruby and yang started to regret everything that they did, and started to train harder, so when they became hunters, they'd help their family in the search for their missing sibling.

In time, it became clear that they'd do whatever they could in order to bring back their lost family member, and to make amends.

... if only they knew, what they did to him, made him into Jekyll and Hyde, in a way.
