A dinner party for whatever you call them

The heiress has invited a guest over for dinner so it was her responsibility to oversee the preparations needed. She didn't have such formalities when Ruby arrived or popped out, but she can use proper courtesy for Yang.

Weiss took the time to help around in the kitchen, keeping a close eye on the food. Especially the ones for Ruby and Yang. She wondered what kind of diet does Yang even have. Is she like her sister? What is she?

It's hard to say seeing that they didn't do much revealing their abilities. Instead, they fought more in the forest earlier. It's not an issue that she didn't get to see what Yang is but from her own words earlier, she wasn't human. It didn't feel like she's practicing witchcraft but she's something else.

The heiress just made sure that their food was right. The preparations were going smoothly but as time moves closer to dinner, Weiss grows more anxious. Ruby requested for feeding. Unlike the first time, she at least had the common courtesy to ask permission. Teasing Ruby earlier was a treat but having to use herself as a food bank for the vampire didn't settle well for her. Even if it was Professor Ozpin's request.

After a few hours of preparation, Weiss watched as the preparations for dinner were finished. She was about to give Ruby a call when she heard laughter in the hallway. It turns out that she didn't have to call for her new housemate.

Weiss stepped out of the kitchen, a welcoming smile on her lips. "Dinner's ready. You're just in time."

Ruby grinned and raced in front of the heiress a mere few inches away from her face. "Hi! Miss me?" The sudden speeding of Ruby caught the heiress off guard, making her step back.

Weiss chuckled. "Isn't it the other way around? Look at you." she gave an appreciative pat on Ruby's head, glad that she liked her company. Did that mean that she was on the good side of the girl? She better be or that means trouble.

The red-caped lady didn't deny her accusation and instead, calmed down upon the touch of Weiss, heeling like a puppy. Weiss smiled at the charming sight come to find Yang grinning behind Ruby. She pulled away immediately. "Come on you two, anything interesting in Vale?" Weiss inquired as she led them out of the lobby.

Yang trailed behind her older sister. These two were none the wiser with how affectionate they look. It's true Weiss is cold and indifferent and Ruby had much to learn and work with herself but there was no denying that something was going on. Truly, she wondered who was clueless among them. "Yeah, I'll be there princess. Lead the way."

The heiress happily obliged, walking towards the dining hall where dinner was prepared. Yang whistled in amazement as she looked around, her eyes scanning the interior of the halls they walked through. "Fancy."

"It gets lonely when you live in a huge house like this. Come, let's eat." Weiss sat at the edge of the table where she faced her companions, one on each side. Their food was served to their liking and dug in.

At first, the silence was sharp as a new knife until Ruby broke the silence. "Can you guess what Yang is?" Ruby asked frankly with a grin on her lips, her cheeks stuffed with mashed potatoes.

"Excuse me?" Weiss looked at the sisters as if they were crazy. "I-I'd rather not?" Her mind was filled with problems concerning Ruby's stay and sustaining her when the very same girl broke the silence.

Yang laughed which almost cost her plate of chicken salad. "Yeah, why not?! It's gonna be fun!" She chided with a large grin.

"...in what way exactly?" Weiss looked at the girls next to her, nervous. In the pit of her stomach, she wasn't exactly assured that she'll be alive if she guessed wrong. If Yang assures her that she'll be out of the dining room in one piece, she'll entertain the question but it seems dangerous.

"If you guess what I am, you win! If you don't, I get to stay here too!" Yang suggested. Weiss frowned, a horrified look on her face.

Ruby watched as Weiss tried to look for an answer in her head but she can't help but notice how she's simply a picture of elegance. You'll know that she's not helpless. She admired the girl of that ever since they met. A week ago, she would have snatched at every opportunity that Weiss was asleep before drinking from her but now, she learned that Weiss wasn't really against the blood diet thing and having Ruby in the house. Even if she did turn one of the rooms to her brewery. Old habits die hard she supposed.

"Do I get any clue?! And no! That's a horrible trade! I get nothing out of this ordeal!" Weiss nervously laughed. Yang shrugged but with that look of challenge on her face, she was insisting.

"Well, if you win...Ruby can sleep in your room." Yang traded, thinking of it lightly. Ruby's jaw dropped in horror.

"No! No! no! You can't use me as a bargaining tool, you savage!" Ruby tossed a pear at her sister in retaliation but Yang effortlessly caught it. "No! Give another price! Not me!" Ruby turned to Weiss in hopes she is protesting as well but she saw her pondering on this. How dare she!

"...And you won't be against whatever it is that we do behind the door?" Weiss asked. Yang laughed, nodding in agreement. Ruby shook her head, her cheeks flushed red. "Weiss nooo!!"

The heiress turned to Ruby with an adorable pout. "You don't like it?" She asked, tilting her head. Ruby can see through the young lady as her eyes have a different glint in them. "I thought you'd like to have me alone...in a room...on our own?"

"But I--No, that's not! You...Ah--" Ruby covered her face with her cape in embarrassment. Weiss smiled with triumph. You'd think a vampire wouldn't be embarrassed when teased but she's just like a normal girl.

Yang liked where this was going. "Alright! Now give me a guess! You got three chances."

"Alright. Let's see..." She considered many things and traits that Yang had already shown. Blonde hair that blazed in anger, eyes that switched colors upon her mood, force, and strength that does not fade, gauntlets that serve as her weapon, her possessiveness of her golden locks...

She ran through several creatures she thought of, from fairy tales, stories of the old, other things she read of, and thought of so many possibilities.

The Nemean lion had a golden mane that made in impenetrable but it did not change its eyes nor was there a claim that it can turn human. Werewolf? No! She was no Faunus.

"A dragon?" She guessed first, looking at Yang for the answer.

The blonde smiled. "Is that your final guess~? Because you have two more chances."

"Mmmm...A dragon, a werewolf...or The Nemean Lion." Weiss gave wild guesses but those were the closes ones she thought of after Yang displayed power earlier that day.

The blonde smiled and nodded in approval. "Not bad, not bad. It's there~ A dragon."

Weiss' eyes gleamed. "No way! That's very--" She cleared her throat. Ruby gave her a funny look for a second there. "I mean, that is impressive."

"Don't worry, you can geek out around us, princess." Yang encouraged. Ruby kept looking at Weiss at this point because who knew that the girl had an enthusiasm for such things? Does she like dragons? What else will get her smiling like that? Ruby found herself wanting to know what makes Weiss smile so bright as she just did for a moment there.

The white-haired young lady was grinning like a child. Stories. She just read stories of their kind and even if they sound so dangerous, they were magnificent creatures in her eyes. Needing nothing but themselves to produce flames, their scales almost impenetrable, their full forms huge and majestic. Who wouldn't love such creatures?!

"Dad's a full-blooded dragon. Came from the lineage. Immune to fire and we can withstand strong brute forces." Yang said ever so proudly but Weiss smiled like she knew a secret that she refuses to share. Ruby saw this and it made her realize that Weiss had done her homework. She was reading about fae and other creatures. She was looking for their weaknesses, previous stories, legends, and origins. It made her a very formidable opponent.

"Is this why you're not exactly burning under the sun? I thought vampires would." Weiss inquired from Ruby. Due to her cheeks being stuffed, Ruby simply nodded. "That and witchcraft?" Another net of nods. Weiss guessed right. Now she has fewer mysteries to answer.

The brunette continued snacking of a few things that were on the table while Weiss and Yang talked. They were discussing the advantages of dragon scales while she silently watched and observed. It was one of the things she missed. Seeing things happen. Being immortal, it was hard to tell when time moves but it was amusing that she had to look closer to the right time itself. Not her but other people's time.

Weiss finished her food soon after while she and Yang were talking about fights. "Ruby, your sister is very interesting. She's a great storyteller."

"Yeah, she is. But she got that from me! I'm older than her you know." That seemed to surprise Weiss. She smiled in delight. "Well, I look forward to your stories then."

"You better! But you're done eating now, right? Can I have my dinner now?" Ruby requested, her brows furrowed.

See, Weiss was very evasive when it came to the matter of feeding Ruby until recently. She was a very interesting human. Person. She didn't know what Weiss is because it was hard to tell. She caught her using her glyphs but it was her semblance. Nothing odd. It wasn't magic otherwise she would have recognized it.

Weiss looked at her for a moment like she was pondering what kind of torture should she do or that was her thinking face. Ruby shuddered, yang looked at them closely. "Mmm...Alright. Yang, are you going home after? Do you want to stay over the night?"

The blonde smiled but shook her head. "No need, princess. Dad's going to be worried sick. Besides, I can't wait to tell him who's back! He'll come to see Ruby soon but I'll leave you guys to do your funny business behind the door." Yang turned to Weiss. "And as promised, you're free to do whatever with Ruby behind doors."

Ruby's eyes widened. She almost forgot about that. "What?! No way! She'll kill me!"

Weiss pouted. "Do you think of me violently like that, Ruby Rose? I'm upset." Oh no, Oh no no no no! She can't make Weiss upset! Or else she'll shrivel up due to having no food! That can't be good!

"No! no! Princess, no! I mean I'm scared of you but I have good thoughts about you! You're pretty and sweet and kind! Very generous too!" Ruby scrambled to say, refusing to make Weiss pout or upset. She's her key to surviving!

Weiss flushed pink. "Oh~? Do you mean that?" She asked. Ruby nodded furiously, meaning all of her compliments.

Yang was doing her best to hold back her laughter as she watched her older sister gush her feelings on to the mistress of the house. She wondered how can this seemingly normal girl able to make her sister flush red easily. How can Weiss Schnee do wonders for the strongest hybrid in Remnant? She didn't know but it was amazing to see.

"Well, princess! I think I'll take my leave now. You and Ruby have fun together, alright? That was such a very sophisticated dinner. I wish I could stay for wine but I might intrude your alone time. Maybe coffee on campus next time." Yang stood from the table, smiling at the two. Weiss stood as well and shook hands with Yang.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Just tell Ruby if you'll visit us again and I'll have your steak prepared to your liking." Weiss smiled. "Maybe have more bets and games over Ruby too."

"Hey!" Ruby shouted to complain.

"Kidding, love. Anyway, We'll walk you out--" Yang shook her head.

"I can walk myself out. You take care, of my sis and I'll see you in a few days! I'll welcome you to Beacon personally! Together with my partner." Yang smiled. "Thank you for tonight."

Weiss chuckled. "I look forward to that. Thank you for coming as well. Have a good evening, Yang."

"You too. Both of you~" Yang winked at Ruby who pouted with her cheeks still flushed. "Say hi to dad for me!" Ruby requested. Oh, Yang sure will.

After goodbyes and hugs, Yang went ahead and left the two ladies in the dining room to enjoy wine and chocolates to themselves.

Weiss was next to Ruby with a grin on lips as she kept a glass of wine in her hands. "So...You hungry?"

Ruby turned to her with her silver eyes gleaming in joy. She knows that Weiss means no harm but this feeding time, this one may be the first of many intimate moments they might share. Albeit scared, Ruby looked forward to this. Weiss did too.

"Very."
