Chapter Thirteen: Welcome To Hell

Chapter Thirteen: Welcome To Hell

(SPOILEE ALERT: ARGUS GETS A POV IN THE NEXT CHAPTER!)

****************************

---A few hours ago---

Lu didn't know if she would either die of boredom or hunger.

After the anemoi thuellia had kidnapped her, they had thrown her into the back of a black van, the guy with the broken nose as the driver.

It had already been a few hours and she may or may have not dozzed off a couple of times.

Her ankles and wrists were encircled with rope that was knotted too tight, so it caused her skin to slightly turn red. Her mouth was gagged by a handkerchief tied behind her head, preventing her from screaming out the nastiest curse words she knew.

She didn't know how long they had been driving, but it was long enough for her to get hungry and bored at the same time.

It was hard to concentrate with a growling stomach, so it was hard for her to think of a plan.

Just kidding, she actually already had an escape plan.

She would've done it by now, but she decided to use this opportunity to find out what was happening and where they were hiding.

Sure, it was risky, but she had to find out where the other demigods where whisked away.

Hopefully, they were in Narnia. She really wanted to go to Narnia.

Suddenly, the van came to a hault. Meaning, her head slammed against the back of the van, the guy driving the van--the one with the broken nose smirked and the two dracanae that guarded her cackled with laughter.

Lu had the sudden urge to smash their brains out.

"A little warning next time", she wanted to say, but it came out as stiffled mumbling that didn't make sense even to her. It sounded like someone had stuffed Chewbacca's mouth with cloth when he growled.

Yes, she was a Star Wars fan. Deal with it.

The monsters ignored her and started talking in hissing sentences. "What'sss taking them ssso long?"

"Storm spirits get tired too, ya' know", the guy with the broken nose retorted, sounding offended.

"Whatever you ssay, Hayate", the other one hissed, looking slightly annoyed. "How long til' we get to camp?"

At that, Lu froze. Camp? They don't mean camp Half-Blood.... no, they just drove away from there. So Camp Jupiter? Don't tell me they're going to attack them?!

Questions whirled in her mind, and suddenly, the van moved, but Lu realized something, the key wasn't even in the ignition.

Hastily, the daughter of Athena sat upright from the floor and rested her back on the side of the van to look outside the window.

Only for her to internally scream.

Storm spirits were everywhere. They we're flying everywhere, wind blew outside the van, as the bodies of black swirling vapor changed form. From the dark angels that held her before, to gruesome horses with swirling black vapor for bodies.

Six of them galloped towards the from of the van.

Struggling, Lu used her bound up wrists and tried to lower the cloth covering her mouth, amazingly able to do it successfully.

"What in the realm of Hades is going on!?", she bursted out, only for her to realize what was happening.

Quickly, she closed her eyes and concentrated. Once she opened them, she wasn't surprised.

The van vanished-- scratch that, it was never there. The van was an illusion of the mist. There was never really a van,but whoever it was that manipulated the mist to make it look so convincing must be talented.

Lu thought about this when she realized she was leaning on the side of a massive elegant chariot. The man with the broken nose held the reigns, six horse-like storm spirits at the front of the chariot, while the two dracanae soldiers stood behind him, holding spears.

Storm spirits flew around them, making it hard for Lu to see where they were since the bodies of swirling black vapor was in the way.

Another realization was that she was sitting at the back of the chariot, where she was a few inches away from falling to her death. Carefully, she moved away from the back of the chariot.

"What's with all the storm spirits?", she asked, trying to not to show how panicked and terrified she was.

The dracanae grinned, their beady reptalian eyes gleaming like the blade of a knife.

Suddenly, the chariot moved, but not forward. Upward.

The chariot shot towards the sky, the two humanoid-reptalian snake ladies cackled with laughter as they held on to the sides of the chariot.

Lu would've plummeted to her death if she wasn't for a rope wrapped around her waist that they tied her to the chariot.

The chariot shook as the storm spirits pulled them forward, zooming fast. The rest of the storm spirits either pushing the chariot from behind or just flying around them.

"Where are we --"

Suddenly the clouds parted and, Lu realized where they were.

They were in Rome!

The Roman Coliseum was below them, the ancient ruins looking as beautiful as it was in her cabin mate's history book (Sheesh that girl wouldn't shut up about Architecture).

But Lu admit, it did look impressive.

The chariot soared above the massive circular ruins, before it descended down and made a landing in the arena.

The dracanae slithered down the chariot, and the broken-nosed Hayate untied the rope on her waist and her ankles, so she could stand.

"Get up, Half-Blood", he demanded, bitterly. Eyes glowing dangerously. Looks like he hadn't gotten over her breaking his nose.

"What are we doing here?", she growled, standing up, almost toppling backwards.

She looked up and she realized it was already in the afternoon, judging from the position of the sun, it was already around three.

Which means it was probably already nine in the night at Camp Half-Blood.

Noticing her look, the guy chuckled. "Hellhounds are good shadow-travellers aren't they?", he asked, smirking. "Not that you'd remember, anyway. You slept like a log and, you drooled a waterfall", he pointed out, making her blush slightly.

She drooled when she slept? And he saw that? How humiliating.

"Who are you?", she asked, trying to change the subject. "What are you? Are you a demigod? Mortal? Titan? God? Cyclops?"

"Oh, so you think I'm a god, huh?", he said, smirking. "Sorry to disappoint you, but I ain't one of them stupid gods that think they're above everything"

"At least they aren't like you", she replied, glowering. "You are a slimy, incompetent man that doesn't do anything with his life but poison trees and kidnaps Half-Bloods"

"Why you--", anger flickered in his eyes and she inwardly smiled.

"What a good servant you are", she said, sneering. "Obeying your master by stealing the Golden Fleece and poisoning the tree to weaken the barrier. Well atleast tried to. Since yoh failed. Besides, your forces will never set foot on camp! We will never lose to the likes of you slimy, theiving bastards", she spat, pleased to se him look furious.

His silver eyes started to glow brightly, like someone had installed light bulbs in his eye sockets. His hands started to change shape, from olive-colored human skin to swirling black wind.

Lu felt triumphant, so he's a storm spirit, eh?

He looked like he was about to attack when a voice spoke behind him.

"Don't let her toy with you, Hayate", a man in a cloak boomed, his face hidden from her view. "She's trying to bring out your anger, making you do rash things. We can't have the leader of the anemoi thuellia be like that, now can we?"

Hayate gritted his teeth, "Whatever", he said before turning into a winged black angel. "She dies. Tonight. Set her up with Bill", he comanded.

And with that happy note, the storm spirit Hayate shot towards the sky, vanishing behind a curtain of clouds.

"Come here, little demigod",the cloaked guy said, and Lu obliged. Because if she didn't, she assumed he'd either kill her or drag her towards him.

"What do you see?", he asked, gesturing to the surroundings.

"The Roman Coliseum", she replied, wondering what he was thinking, it was hard to read his expression when she couldn't see his face.

"Yes, and do you know what used to happen here?"

"I'm well aware that this used to be a place where gladiators fight to the death as entertainment to the audience", she said, bluntly.

The guy nodded, "Yes. It was once a beautiful place of blood, death and battle. But sadly, nothing lasts forever. This place used to be old and at the brink of collapsing"

She raised an eyebrow, "Used to?"

Suddenly, the floor under her feet rumbled, and she would've fallen on her face if she didn't have fast reflexes.

Lol you actually believed that?

Nope, what really happened was she fell on hee face and the cloaked guy had to help her up. And she swore that he heard the guy stifle a laugh.

The sound of machinery and gears turning whirled from under them, growls, screams and inhuman grunts became audible as the floor shifted.

Quickly, the cloaked guy grabbed her hand and pulled her away as the entire floor of the Roman coliseum vanished like mist and buildings started to appear.

Little by little, monsters of all types appeared.

"What... what is this?!",she cried, horrified.

The man in a cloak was silent, but she could see a wicked grin form on his face.

Suddenly, everything froze. The monsters looked up at her. Telkhies, dracanae, Cyclops, hydras, storm spirits, hellhounds, manticores and a lot of other monsters she didn't know by name looked up at her, anger and hunger evident in their bloodthirsty eyes.

To her left, there was an archery range, to her right, was a pile of weapons and standing at the center of the coliseum was a huge hole that Lu wished she didn't know what was in there.

"Did you half-bloods really think that we did nothing all these nineteen years?", the man growled. "You half-bloods are just too powerful and we know it. So we decided. That if you have Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter, why shouldn't we have a camp of our own?"

"No....", she muttered, in disbelief. The monsters staring at her growled. She almost panicked, but she couldn't let the emotion get the better of her. Instead of panicking, she asked him bluntly. "Isn't this place too small to be a camp?"

The gut just grinned evily. "Oh this? This is just part of the camp, there are layers and layers of floors that make up the monster training camp"

The daughter of Athena realized what the huge hole was for. And when she looked down at it, she could make out monsters battling each of other below the floor she was standing on.

"No.... don't tell me...."

"Lucille Silverthrone", he said, grinning so darkly it made a shiver run up her spine. "Welcome to camp Uranus"

A.k.a hell.

Author's Note:

I find it very awkward typing the word 'Lu' it's as if I'm talking about myself. Even though I'm not in the story.

I'm not sure anyone has made a monster camp in their fanfic before. But if you know someone who does and decided to complain about how I stole their idea, I didn't. I haven't even read a fanfic with this idea before.

Anyway, guys here is the chapter I promised.

You still don't think my fanfic is twisted? Be warned. I have a lot of plot twists stored in my backpack, ready to unleash it when the time is right.

;)

You have been warned.

Oh and yes. ARGUS GETS A POV IN THE NEXT CHAPTER!

Why?

Because Argus is awesome. Deal with it.  B)

Argus:    :::::::::::::::::::)

Bye for now,

~Lu di Vangelson (Not Lucille Silverthrone)

(The last name is a combination of 'di Angelo', 'Valdez', and 'Jackson')
