"Hey Zion" Sammy says, putting her phone on speaker as she scrolls through her English notes to prepare for the test she had coming up. "Hey buttercup,how you doin' ?" Zion asks and Samira shrugs grabbing her highlighter. "Aight'. I'm tryna get a job somewhere cus I'm low on money for real" she says itching to get her hair done. "Why didn't you just ask me? I could've sent some" he says and Samira shakes her head.

"Oh it's okay Zion. Youn gotta do that" she responds as Ginny sits down next to her.. "Y'know you can call me dad Samira" Zion responds and Ginny furrows her brows in confusion. "I know. Wanna talk to Ginny?" She says as she gives the phone to Ginny.

Abby and Norah come over to the small group which consisted of Abby,Samira and Ginny and Ginny stepped away to continue talking to Zion. "Okay. Don't make it seem like your looking,but look at Sophie and tell me if she's looking at me okay?" Max says and Samira nods looking at the senior who was focused on stuff other than Max.

"She is most definitely not looking at you hun" Samira nods and Ginny comes back while Max groans. "I'm the most unlovable human being on the planet. If people were running down the street I'd be stuck in a pothole and there's a tsunami they'd leave me to die" she says with a frown on her face.

"Are they running from the tsunami? That would be understandable" Abby says and Samira pushes her head playfully making the other girl laugh. "You're not unlovable. We love you" Ginny says as she makes her way back and Max shakes her head. "I don't care if you guys love me! I want Sophie to love me!" She says exasperated and Samira fake feigns a look of hurt.

"She was like this all gym. She said she couldn't climb the rope because of emotional distress" Norah says and Samira nods. "Imma start using that" she says under her breath. "I couldn't climb the rope because of emotional duress! God...I'm triggered" she says leaning on Samira's lap and Samira playfully rolls her eyes.

"There, there hun. There, there"

Samira sat at the table right across from Max as Ginny waited tables. "Guys I actually need to find a job. The lack of money in my pockets is concerning" Samira sighed laying her head on Norah's shoulder. "Just ask Georgia for money" Max says turning to look at her. "I know but I don't want to be reliant on someone for money though" Samira groans kicking her feet as she goes on her phone. "My mom's friend is an artist. He has this paid internship thing going on so I could probably hook you up" Norah says and Samira's eyes widen.

"For real?!?" She shrieks lifting her head up. "Yeah. You would be perfect for it" Norah responds making Samira shimmy in her seat. "How much does he pay?" Samira asks trying not to forget what she was mainly getting the job for out of excitement. "About 35 an hour" Norah shrugs as Samira's mouth drops. She quickly does the math in her head as Abby laughs at her face.

"Thats 12 hundred and 25 dollars!" she gasps in shock and Norah nods typing away on her phone. "Are you serious Norah?" She says still in shock and Norah nods again. Sammy jumps on her hugging the girl as Norah giggled. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" she says fuming from excitement and Norah nods still laughing as Ginny approaches

"Gross. Oh My God, don't look at her" Abby says as Ginny sets stuff down at the table and Norah follows with an "So Sad. So Tragic" as Ginny rolls her eyes. "Avoid eye contact. She'll think she can talk to us" Max says as Samira pushes her head playfully from across the table. "So funny guys" Virginia says placing the ketchup on the table. "I got Austin an appointment for tomorrow with Dr.Darmody" Abby says and Samira scrunches her face up.

Huh?

"Dr. Darmody? He's my therapist, he's really sweet" Norah says with a mouth full of food and Ginny turns to her. "You're in therapy?" she asks as Norah swallows the food she was eating. "Oh please. Beth's had me in therapy since I was old enough to understand the word 'adopted' " She says and Samira turns to Ginny.

"You still on this Ginny? Austin doesn't need therapy" She says and Ginny bangs her fist on the table. "He's my brother Sammy. Mind your business" The girl says snapping at Samira and Samira just smacks her teeth. "Imma depart before you piss me off." Sammy grabs her backpack as regret immediately shows on Virginia's face. "I'll send you the interview info!" Norah shouts out and Sammy replies with an "Thank You!" as she passes by someone familiar.

"Oh hey Maddie"

Samira endlessly looked over her textbooks groaning as she heard someone come in from her window. "Whatcha ya doing pretty girl?" he says as she turns to him frowning. "I'm studying sadly. How was you're day though" she says turning to him fully and giving her full attention to him. "It was okay. Nothing really happened" he shrugs wrapping her in a hug swinging her from side to side. She nods kissing his lips before he sets her down as she continues to look over the various books.

"This whole scene is giving me a headache" He says after observing her studying in his boxers and one of her dad's old t-shirts with her hair tied up in a bun. Her glasses drooped and Marcus swooped them off her as she giggled. "Marcus!" she said reaching for them as he put them on himself. "I gotta study!" she says jumping up to reach them from his eyes. "Take a break! Chill with me Sammy" he says making her heart soften.

One break wouldn't hurt right?

She gives in indulging as he smashes his lips on hers. She giggles as he lays back down on her bed still not letting her lips leave his as her door suddenly opened. "Ew!" Max said along with Ginny and Samira sighed.

At the worst possible times bro.

"What do you need?" she groans as Max fake gags. "Sorry to interrupt but the yard is on fire" Ginny responds and Samira groans.

"There's just has to be something going on this house at every given moment"

Samira walked into Max's room drinking from her waterbottle after just getting off the phone with Georgia. "Hey we gotta go. Georgia and your aunt are busy so we gotta watch the kids" Sammy says relaying the news to Virginia and she nods getting up. "I'll come" Max says shrugging getting up. "Kay, I'll ask Marcus if he wants to come too" Samira says and Ginny and Max nod leaving the room.

Sammy watched as Marcus played with Austin and Caleb as she continued reading from her English textbook. He plops down on the couch next to her and she lays her head on his shoulder still reading. The front door opens as Georgia and Maddie stumble out while Joe helps Maddie in the house.

Samira feels her body immediately tense up as she smells the alcohol lingering on Georgia and Maddie's breath. Maddie gibbers off nonsense as Sammy plays with her bracelets on her wrist zoning out.

"Momma again?" Sammy says staring at her mother who swayed from side to side in their small living room. "Don't do that pootie. Come dance with your ma" Eve said as Samira threw away the liquor bottles scattered around her house. Eve stumbles falling on the floor and Samira immediately rushes to the floor to help her mother. Her eyes stung with tears as she checked on her mom who just giggled.

"I love you pootie!" Eve says in a sing-songy voice and Samira cracks a sad smile at her mom.

"Love you too mama"

Samira feels a tap on her leg and she immediately blinks staring at Marcus who was in front of her. "You okay? You spaced out." he says concerned and she nods, blinking back the tears she had in her eyes. "Yeah. I just get uncomfortable with dealing with alcohol and shit but im okay" she says giving a smile. "You sure? You wanna talk about it?" he says cradling her face. "Not really." she says as she hears Paul come in while Ginny walks through the hall.

"I'll text you later cus i gotta study" She says kissing his lips and he nods understanding the fact that she wanted to be alone. She runs up to her room closing the door before leaning her head on the door frame.
