I looked into the mirror as I took one last glanced at myself I wore a silk top with my crazy blue jeans. My makeup was nicely done my brown hair were all curly and nice.

I mean I didn't want to look over the top. It was just a party anyways irrespective of the person hosting it.

My phone binged and there was a message from Ryan.

I'm outside waiting for you Melissa.

And I picked up my purse and walked slowly down the corridor and much more quietly down the stairs.

I knew it was wrong I could be grounded for a year or even worse, my mom would loose her trust in me, and that would literally break my heart. But I'm sticking with being grounded and me sneaking out of the house being worth it.

I had finally reached the door and I gently held the door handle and I opened the door.

As I stepped out of the house, the night breeze blow swiftly on me as my brown hair curved a little around my face and the cold lingered on me. And I shut the door.

And I stopped dead in my tracks as the light in my mom's room was switched on and then switched off.

And I breathe out in relief. I hurried towards Ryan's car as I got settled and I shut the door.

"you didn't tell your mom?" he asked as he flashed me a smile.

"you didn't tell your brother either" and I laughed "so we're even."

I was at the party finally, it was hosted at there house I could see Saya on Kevin's lap as she giggled and as Kevin whispered in her ears.

I felt jealous, I felt like pushing her off of him, even though Kevin and I weren't even a thing, I just had a crush on him.

Ryan walked over to were I stood as he held my hand and we sat down on the couch and he gave me a glass of wine.

"thanks Ryan, but you know I don't drink, I'll get a soft drink from the kitchen"

"okay" and he took a sip of the wine.

As I walked towards the kitchen I could see that annoying little blonde Saya as she wrapped her arms around Kevin.

And suddenly Kevin head moved a little, allowing him to see me, And I walked faster as I entered into the kitchen.

And there was the cans of fruit juice as I moved my hands to get mine.

And suddenly I felt someone at my back. the person was to close and as I was about to move his hand quickly blocked my path.

And I moved to the other side and he did the same thing but picked up a rubber cup.

And I turned around, I pushed thick strands of my brown hair out of my face, and finally I look at him, and to my surprise it was Kevin. This was my first time of getting a view of him this close.

His deep blue eyes framed with blonde lashes fixed on mine. A blue so vibrant and electric.

He was gorgeous in all the ways, he was tall, about 6'5, wavy blonde hair toppled over his forehead, high cheekbones.

And he picked up a can drink as his blue eyes were looking into mine as if trying to search mine and he moved back as he dropped his hands.

"Melissa how are...."

"I'm great" and I got passed him as

I had hurried into the parlor, people were dancing and drinking and I saw Ryan still drinking. he must have had at least six cups of wine.

And I got seated next to him.

"Melissa you look pretty" and leaned in very close to me as to whispered in my ear.

"everyone gather round" Maya called as she was literally screaming "were gonna play truth or dare."

And I looked at Ryan.

"oh Melissa you have to play this game." and he held my hands as we walked over and sat down on the floor.

Maya yelled again "come over guys" and gradually the circle increase Kevin walked along side with Saya and they sat down.

With the other students at school who I hardly notice

We all made a circle and Maya kept a bottle in the middle and she flipped her hair over her shoulder, and she spin the bottle.

And we all watched in anticipation as the bottle was stopping slowly.

My heart was beating so fast. And the bottle finally stopped. It was facing...

What was his name again? Yeah I remember now. Noam. The nerd of all nerds in my highschool.

Just look at the cloths he is wearing. looks like he bought it from the 19th century. Is he wearing glasses, they totally look out of this world. I mean the dude needs serious help.

*laughs*

"Melissa are you alright?" Ryan asked.

"I'm totally fine" I said

the nerd guy needs some serious makeover.

"true or dare Noam" Selena asked as she eyed the nerd guy.

"I'm I... I..." Noam stammered.

What a loser.

I could see the look on Selena face and I could tell she was getting frustrated.

"I choose truth" Noam said suddenly.

This is getting interesting.

"what color of underwear are you wearing Noam" Selena asked, as she looked at him wickedly.

Girl that was one nasty question.

"I can't answer that private question" Noam told Selena shyly. As he touched his hair awkwardly.

Nerds, you can't really blame them.

Someone tapped me on the shoulders and I turned around to look at Ryan "excuse me for some minutes, I'm going to the restroom" he said to me

"okay" I said.

And I looked back at Maya, she was getting impatient by the minute. "you know what happens when someone can't comply to simple rules in a game" Maya roared.

Everyone one is the room except for me of course were chanting "jump in the swimming pool"

And he left to enter the pool, without saying a word.

Poor Noam.

Ryan was back. thank goodness but he is seated opposite me this time.

And the blonde spined the bottle and it was slowing down.

And I saw Kevin looking at me again.

He made me wonder if he also has a crush on me too. How I wish.

And the bottle stopped. I almost screamed when I realized it was my best friend Ryan and me.

Everyone looked at us curiously.

"Now this is getting interesting" Fiona said as she elbowed me.

"truth or dare" I asked Ryan.

And Ryan smiled "truth bestie."

I wondered what I should ask him. Yeah I know, I have always wanted to know who he liked for a long time now.

"okay Ryan, who is your crush" and I watched him as his mood suddenly changed like I had asked a wrong question.

"my crush is.. " and he hesitated "first I need to say something before I say the person's name."

I guess his crush should be Lizzy, he talked about her all summer, too bad she isn't here.

"she is so cute and pretty" Ryan said as he smiled "she makes my heart skip a beat.

"how beautiful" Fiona said to me.

Ryan must have had too much drinks because he was confessing his feelings a little awkwardly.

"I love her from the bottom of my heart" and he stood up as he walked closer to someone.

I wondered who that person is....

That person was me. No no no no.

"Melissa I love you" Ryan said.

This was horrible. How could he, he is my best friend for goodness sake.

And Ryan held my hands "you look pretty"

And he sat back down.

I just had to go home. This was so awkward.

And I noticed my purse was missing.

"Fiona, I kept my purse on the floor right here and I can't find it."

Fiona was about to answer my question when, Maya laughed so hard. "Melissa you wanna know where your purse is?"

What is she up to now. I should have know. They never liked me in the least, she only wants to embarrass me.

"of course I do" I spat back.

"I trow it in the swimming pool" she said "I hate you Melissa and now after your done swimming. get the hell out of my house"

And my phone was inside, my money.

"you're so rude Maya" I said "I should have know all along"

"girl fight" the crowd chanted.

And I ran outside. As I approached the swimming pool, Ryan was beside me.

"I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings" he said.

"I don't have time for this" I told him.
And I moved closer to the swimming pool as I saw the nerd guy all wet just outside of the pool.

"hey, em.... nerd guy" I said.

What was his name again.

"Noam please could you get my purse for me it is in the swimming pool" I said.

and Noam jumped into the swimming pool and after thirty seconds he came out with my purse "thank you" and I collect it

I quickly opened it and my phone was ruined I felt like crying. This served me right for leaving the house.

And someone spin me around and I was surprised to see Ryan "Melissa I love you" and he suddenly pulled me towards him.

"Ryan what are you doing? leave me alone" I said, but he didn't answer me.

"Leave her alone" someone said but his voice sounded more like Kevin's

But Ryan ignore him and hugged me tightly "no I won't, I love her."

Ryan must have had too much to drink.

Ryan was suddenly jerked away from me with force that I fell into the swimming pool.

Just great I'm all wet and cold like a freezing cat.

"just look at what you caused" I yelled and I looked up to see Kevin looking at me curiously. And he stretched out his as and I held it, as he pulled me out of the swimming pool.

"I'm sorry." Kevin said.

I felt embarrassed I had yelled at him.

And I stood up as I watched as water was dripping from my clothes.

I'm such a mess, not only my phone but I was wet.

And suddenly Ryan got up and said "look at what you did to Melissa" and he was about to punch Kevin

Because I fell in the swimming pool.

I jumped on Kevin

To rescue him from getting punched

and we fell down on the floor and we looked at our self for some seconds and I looked over at Ryan as he fell down on the ground looking exhausted.

"I'm so sorry, Ryan gets a little crazy anytime he drinks" I said as I got up from him and now he was soaked too.

and Kevin laughed "I'm also wet."

"Melissa let's go home" Ryan said as he stood up.

"you're drunk" I said.

"let me take you home Melissa" Kevin suggested.

"Melissa" Ryan called after me.  But I didn't answer.

"thank you that will be great" and we walked in silence towards his car. And he opened the passenger seat for me to seat in.

And he got seated too it was awfully quiet and I decided to break the silence.

"thanks for saving me from Ryan my ex best friend.

"and thanks for saving me from almost getting punch by Ryan" and he smiled "I wasn't expecting that"

it was silent again and he was right in front of my house.

And he came out of the the car to open the door for me and suddenly, he stared me with his deep blue eyes. he leaned toward me. And I closed my eyes.

Is he going to....

"you've got a leaf on your hair" he said as he removed a leaf stuck on my hair.

Oh.

And I came out of the car "thanks for the ride."

"you're welcome" he said.

And he got into his car and I watched him as he drove off.

Why did he look at me like that. Like he was about to.....

No Melissa get a hold of yourself he was just trying to remove a leaf.

And I gently open the door to my house I switched on the lights.

"Melissa Brown" my mother yelled, "where on earth have you been."

I was so in trouble. And my mom was not happy.
