We're just friends, right?

"Are you sure you want to go out in the blizzard?"

A small group had assembled to go through the heavy snow to buy stuff from the mall across the street. It included Poland, Lithuania, France, Russia, and me. A few people already went before us, and some have decided to go a bit later. Everyone was wearing thick clothes, hats, scarves, mittens or gloves, and extra layers underneath. Russia gave me his scarf to wear. It's really warm and smells like sunflowers. I really like it.

We stand in front of the main doors. As I'm about to open them, Russia grabs my hand with his warm paws and looks at me. "We'll walk together, да? Wind is blowing the snow from the east, so I'll stand on your right side to protect you from snow hitting you. Is that fine with you, (y/n)?"

My heart starts to race, and my face glows pink. Why am I feeling this way? Do I have feelings for Ivan? Did I just call him by his real name in my head? Now that I think of it, I realize he has been calling me either by my real name or "Sunflower" this whole time! He also spends a lot of time with me ever since I came here. Does he have feelings for me?

I quickly withdraw my hand without thinking.

"(y/n)? Are you okay?"

I start to stutter, "Ye-Ye-YES!"

He places his hand on my forehead. "You seem very warm. Are you sure you want to go out in the snow? I don't want you getting sick."

I remove his hand. "I said I'm fine."

I awkwardly cling onto his hand as he opens the door. The cold wind stings my face as we run across the street. The snow is already up to our thighs. A really strong gust of wind blows and nearly makes me fall over, but Ivan caught me. We slowly make our way to the mall across the street where Poland, Lithuania and France are waiting.

"Toris! Can we go to this store and this store and this store and...(Gasp) WE LIKE, TOTALLY NEED TO GO TO THIS STORE!!"

"Maybe, Feliks." Lithuania turns toward us. "What's the plan?" He asks.

"Whatever the plan is, we should hurry before everyone in the mall leaves and before the snow piles up too high. " France suggests.

"Toris! Let's go to Century 21! Proszę! (Please!)" Poland begs.

"How about we split up. Poland and Lithuania can go together to Century 21, and Russia and I can go to one of these closer stores." I suggest. "France, what about you?"

"I'll go with Poland and Lithuania, so you two can be alone." France winks at me.

"We're just friends!" I say, still clinging onto Ivan. "There's nothing special between us."

"Sure . . . " France says with a smirk.

But I wonder; Is there something between me and Ivan?

. . .
