Ending
It has been a full month since I have seen Ivan. We have talked on the phone constantly. Now I find myself in front of his door, holding my final suitcase and Dima's carrier, and wearing a really pretty orange dress I bought. I thought it would be fit for the occasion if we went out to celebrate me moving in. It hasn't snowed in a while. In fact, it is really sunny today. The sunflowers shine really brightly in the field.
"I'm sorry, Russia isn't here right now." Estonia tells me. "He told me to let you in if you came while he was away." He lets me in, and I make my way upstairs to my room where I unpack my stuff and let Dima loose in my room. I go around the house and find Ivan's cat and bring him into my room to introduce him to Dima. They get along really nicely and become friends really quickly.
"(C/n)! (C/n)!" Latvia comes running up the stairs. "Russia is here!" He seems very excited. "He's waiting for you outside, in the Sunflower garden!"
"In the Sunflower garden?" Why would he wait for me there? "Okay, I'm coming downstairs."
Just as Latvia told me, Ivan is outside, standing in the middle of the Sunflower field, but everyone is nowhere to be found. Ivan looks really nicely dressed up. He is wearing a suit with a small flower in his front pocket. "You made it!" He tells me. I run up to him and give him a hug. "I haven't seen you in so long."
When I release Ivan from the hug, he reaches into his back pocket and takes out a small black box. He gets down one one knee, which can only mean one thing.
"Will you marry me?" He opens the small box revealing a silver ring, embedded with a orange topaz gem, surrounded by dozens of diamonds, all sparkling in the sun. "Yes!"
Ivan stands up and gives me the tightest hug I have ever recieved. I start to cry softly into his shoulder. "Я люблю вас." "Я тоже тебя люблю." (I love you; I love you too)
Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland stand up out of the sunflowers. All of them applaud and throw flower petals in the sky. Feliks continues recording everything with a small camera. "Sto lat! Sto lat! Niech żyją żyją nam!" He starts to sing. (Sto lat is a polish song they sing at birthdays, weddings, and other important events)
. . .
Church bells are ringing. Everyone is sitting and waiting for the bride. Ivan stands in the front, along with the priest. As I enter the door, everyone stands and faces me. Ivan looks astonished. Austria starts to play music on the piano. The flower girl throws flowers, spreading a beautiful path of rose and sunflower petals. I walk across, wearing my beautiful silky white dress. Poland and Hungary helped me get ready. My veil has white flowers stitched on it. My hair is tied up in a long braid.
"You look so beautiful." Ivan whispers to me as I stand next to him.
"We meet here today to join Ivan Braginski and (y/n) in marriage." The priest begins.
. . .
"Do you, Ivan Braginski, take (y/n) to be your beloved wife, and promise to love her as long as you may live?"
"I do."
"Do you, (y/n), take Ivan Braginski to be your beloved husband, and promise to love him as long as you may live?"
"I do."
"You may now kiss the bride."
Ivan leans in toward me and gives me a long kiss on the lips. The crowd applauds and cheers. They throw flowers as we leave the church building hand in hand.
"Long live (y/n) and Ivan Braginski, together!"
. . .
The End
