Who Are You?

Chapter Four: Who Are You?
Harry's P.O.V.

A WARNING WHISTLE HAD SOUNDED warning the students still on the platform started hurrying onto the train.

Mrs. Weasley started hugging her children, Hermione, and I randomly. "Onto the train, now, hurry..." She said.

For a moment, the great black dog(Sirius, who was still in dog form) reared onto its hind legs and placed its front paws on heavily on my shoulders.

Then Mrs. Weasley shoved me away toward the train door hissing, "For heaven's sake act more like a dog, Sirius!"

"He shouldn't have come with us." Hermione said in a worried voice once the train had started moving.

"Oh lighten up," said Ron. "He hasn't seen daylight for months, poor bloke."

"Shall we go and find a compartment, then?" I asked Ron and Hermione.

Ron and Hermione exchanged looks.

"Er," said Ron.

"We're- well- Ron and I are supposed to go into the prefect carriage," Hermione said awkwardly.

"Oh," I say. "Right. Fine."

"I don't think we'll have to stay there all journey," said Hermione quickly. "Our letters said we just get instructions from the Head Boy and Girl and then patrol the corridors from time to time."

"Fine," I mutter again. "Well, I- I might see you later, then."

"Come on," Ginny told me. "If we get a move on we'll be able to save them places."

"Right," I answered.

We walked all the way down the train. There didn't appear to be many vacant cabins left, until we reached the very last, which was where Neville spotted us.

"Hi, Harry," he panted. "Hi, Ginny.... Everywhere's full.... I can't find a seat...."

"What are you talking about?" said Ginny, who had squeezed past Neville to peer into the compartment behind him. "There's room in there. The one across where Leo, Percy, Nico, Annabeth, and Piper are sitting. You see, only Loony Lovegood in here -" She says pointing to a carriage with a bunch of wizards that look like they are either in the fifth, sixth, seventh year. I knew at once I had never seen them before. But, how did Ginny come to recognize them?

"Wait," I interrupt her. "Who?"

"You know Loony-"

"No, who are they?" I say pointing to the carriage where all the unknown wizards were sitting.

Neville and Ginny stare at me blankly as if to say, 'Are you kidding?'

"What?" I ask them.

"Oh come on Harry," Neville says. "We share a dormitory with Leo and Nico. It's not like you can forget them all of a sudden."

"I don't think I've forgotten them. I swear that I've never seen any of them before," I say. I look closer to see each of them closely. One one side of the compartment a boy and girl, both seventh years, are sitting next to each other. The girl has long blonde hair with sharp grey eyes, with her arm put over the boy's shoulder. As for the him, he had to be about  two years older than me. It was strange, because though I had never seen him before I could tell that we look somewhat alike. We both have shaggy black hair, I have emerald green eyes, but his are sea green.

Three supposed fifth years sit across from them. Two boys and a girl. The girl had choppy brunette hair and eyes that seemed to change every time you tried to decide what color they were. In short, she looked beautiful though it looked like she was trying not to. One of the boys was Latino, was also very short, and had dark curly hair. The last boy in the carriage look frightening for his age. His skin was deadly pale, he had piercing black eyes, and hair black hair. His expression was nearly unreadable, but it gave me the feeling that I did not want to make him angry.

"What do you mean?" I turn back to look at Ginny. "They've been in your class for four years."

"No," I say. "It's the same as two minutes ago. I know for a fact that I don't recognize any of them." Ginny and Neville share a worried look. They seemed convinced that I was wrong, that those five had always been attending Hogwarts. I can tell though, there's something off about all them. I wouldn't just now notice three new people in my year.

Without any warning, Ginny reached over and slid the door of Luna's nearly empty compartment and said, "Hi, Luna. Is it okay if we take these seats?"

The girl with dirty-blonde hair looked up from her magazine. It wasn't a surprise that me why Neville had chosen to pass this compartment by. Perhaps it was the fact that she had stuck her wand behind her left ear, or that she had chosen to wear a necklace of butterbeer caps, or that she was reading her magazine upside down. I couldn't blame Neville. Her eyes ranged over Neville and came to rest on me. She nodded.

"Thanks," said Ginny, smiling at her.

The three of us take our seats. While Ginny and Luna immerse in conversation, my mind drifts away still in awestruck of why I didn't recognize the wizards in the cabin across from us. Ginny and Neville seem to. What is going on?

* * *

Ron and Hermione did not turn up for nearly an hour. When they did the compartment door slid open and they walked in.

"How did it go?" I asked them.

"Well, there are two fifth-year prefects from each House," said Hermione, looking thoroughly disgruntled as she took her seat. "Boy and girl from each."

"And guess who's a Slytherin prefect?" said Ron, still with his eyes closed.

"Malfoy," I reply at once, my worst fear confirmed.

"'Course," said Ron bitterly, stuffing the rest of the Frog into his mouth and taking another.

"And that complete cow Pansy Parkinson," said Hermione viciously. "How she got to be a prefect when she's thicker than a concussed troll...."

"I have a question, for you two," I say, promptly changing the subject.

"What is it Harry?" asked Hermione with concern, forgetting her hatred for Pansy for a moment.

"Do you recognize any of the people in the carriage across from us?" I say, trying(and failing) to sound casual.

"What kind of question is that?" Ron asks.

"Do you know any of them?" I said pointing to the cabin across from ours.

"Of course. Leo, Nico, and Piper have been in Gryffindor for as long as we have," Ron replies.

"Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase have been dating since they were around our age," said Hermione, "They're in their seventh year now. Why are you asking?"

"Harry doesn't know any of them, apparently," supplied Ginny,

"What do you mean by that?" Ron asks.

"I swear I've never seen any of them before," I state, "Maybe if you tell me more, I'll remember."

Nothing is making any sense whatsoever. Everyone, including Ron and Hermione, seem to know these wizards. How can I be the only one to see that they've never been here before? How is this possible? Can this be possible?

"Okay, let's see," Hermione said. "In our first year in potions, Leo almost burned down Snape's classroom. It landed Nico in the Hospital Wing for a week!"

"Leo had detention for two months after that," Ron said. "Poor bloke. Snape's reaction was utterly priceless though."

"Doesn't ring a bell," I say.

"How 'bout the time where Piper had to duel Pansy in our second year?" Ron asks. "Remember... her eyebrows?"

"Don't remember that either," I admit.

"Do you remember when Percy filled in for Lee Jordan announcing, two years ago at the first Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff match of the year?" Hermione said in disbelief. Starting to feel even more worried, I shook my head.

"You can't be serious, mate! His comments for the game were hilarious. 'And the bludger nearly knocks Preece right in the... nevermind.' and 'Wow, Angelina's looking hot today, just look at that score she just- no Professor McGonagall. I told you I do have the responsibility to fill in commentary for the game.' You can't forget those!"

"I still don't remember anything about any of them!" I reply.

"Don't worry," Luna says looking up from her magazine, "there's a simple way to resolve this. Just ask them. I mean, I don't recognize them either. Though, I don't pay attention to many Gryffindors very often in my case," she says dreamily returning to her magazine, 'The Quibbler'.

"Harry," Hermione says. "Are you sure you don't know them?"

"I've never seen them before," I confirm.

"Well," Neville speaks up, "let's ask them."

Me: I do not own any of the characters. All characters either belong here to Rick Riordan or J.K. Rowling.
Annabeth: We know already! Give us something new!
Me: Technically I have to end the chapter like this!
Annabeth: Why?
Me: Because... Wouldn't it be weird if I said I owned PJO, HOO, and HP. (I do not own any of these stories.)
Annabeth: I'm bored. I quit this book.
Me: What do you mean? You can't quit.
Annabeth:  At Hogwarts, people in the pictures just walk out and leave. That's  what I'm going to do. I'm going to walk out of this book!
Me: But we're not at Hogwarts yet. That's not until the next chapter.
Annabeth: Uhhhh. I'm still going to try anyway.
