I'm Starting to Sound Like Thalia

Chapter Nine: I'm Starting to Sound Like Thalia
Annabeth's P.O.V.

I WAS LOVING HOGWARTS SO FAR. The architecture is amazing! I mean everything from the library(which is my favorite place in the whole school!) to moving staircases. The classes are really weird though, Divination, D.A.D.A, herbology, ancient runes, charms, etc.

The first four days of school passed in a blur. I was starting to get hang of my schedule: Potions, Ancient Runes, Divination, Transfiguration, and D.A.D.A. Unfortunately, Percy and I only have two classes together: Divination and D.A.D.A.

The first class I have is Transfiguration, next was potions, then Defense Against the Dark Arts. And I must say, that class was like torture. The first four days were spent reading, or listening to a lecture from Umbridge.

"Good morning class!" Professor Umbridge said.

"Good morning Professor Umbridge," Every student said in Unison.

The lesson started and I could tell that my ADHD was starting to kick in, I barely noticed anything the pink professor was saying. But in the middle of the lesson Percy raised his hand.

"Yes, Mr. Jackson?" Umbridge said once she noticed Percy's hand up.

"I know this is a little off topic, but when are we going to learn defensive magic?"

The professor just laughed.

"You must be kidding, Mr. Jackson. Though I do not wish to criticize the way things have been run in this school," she said, an unconvincing smile stretching her mouth. "But you have been exposed to some very irresponsible wizards in this class, very irresponsible indeed - not to mention," she gave a nasty little chuckle, "extremely dangerous half-breeds."

"If you mean Professor Lupin," said a boy named Lee Jordan, "He was the best we ever-"

"What do mean specifically by half-breeds?" I ask her.

"Anything that is only half human. Anything that is not human is a dark evil creature. Half-breeds cannot be trusted." She said with a glare. I look over at Percy, and he looked mad. I was angry too.

"So all half-breeds are evil?" I say.

"Yes." Umbridge says with a harsh tone in her voice. She sounded annoyed. But I don't care, she's going to pay! Oh gods, I'm starting to sound like Thalia.

"So back to the lesson." The snotty professor says quickly. Obviously trying to drop the subject. I don't care, I'll get revenge on her later. And then she went on with her lesson.

My next class Ancient Runes, yawn. Then I met up with Percy again at Divination.
The Divination class was strange. All I can say is that the professor and Ella would probably get along perfectly. When Percy and I first had her she kept muttering something about seeing through the veil. I think it meant seeing through the mist, but when I talked to Piper she said that Trelawney had spoken the prophecy.

"Hello class, today we will be working on fortune telling. Please turn to page nine of your books."

That lesson was also boring to me, until Trelawney almost revealed us.

* * *

"Find a partner and start the fortune reading process as explained in your book." Trelawney said dreamily. Then she walked over towards Percy and I.

"Seven Halfbloods shall answer the call,
To storm or fire the world must fall.
An oath to keep with a final breath,
And foes bear arms to the doors of death."

Trelawney said, then she collapsed.

She had just spoken the last prophecy! What was going on, people are already getting suspicious. It's obvious with all the tension towards us. This quest is not going to succeed if professors keep randomly spouting prophecies everywhere.

* * *

"I want you to tell me everything that happened before she collapsed." Professor McGonagall said, once she sat Percy and I down in her office.

"Well, she walked over to us and started speaking some kind of prophecy." Percy said, "Then she passed out, just like I told you."

"What did she say exactly?" Professor asked. Percy and I exchanged nervous glances.

"Seven halfbloods shall answer the call,
To storm or fire the world must fall.
An oath to keep with a final breath,
And foes bear arms to the doors of death."

I told her shakily. We can't let her know about our true identities.

"I think I should take you two to Professor Dumbledore." McGonagall said.
She guided us out of her office and in a few minutes they had reached the stone gargoyle guarding the entrance to Dumbledore's office.

"Fizzing Whizbee," said Professor McGonagall.

The gargoyle sprang to life and leapt aside; the wall behind it split in two to reveal a stone staircase that was moving continuously upward like a spiral escalator. The three of them stepped onto the moving stairs; the wall closed behind them with a thud, and they were moving upward in tight circles until they reached oak door leading into the headmaster's office.

"Sit down." Dumbledore told us as McGonagall left, "Tell me everything that happened."

So Percy and I told him everything that we had told McGonagall. "Don't fret." Dumbledore said coolly after we told him the prophecy, "But you have just heard a prophecy."

Percy just laughed. "You don't say." He says choking on his own words.

"Mr. Jackson." Dumbledore says, again with a calm tone of voice. Percy stops laughing.

"I can only wonder what the prophecy means. But for now I am going to have to send you to dinner." He says. "Tell no one about the prophecy."

"Okay." We both mutter and leave the headmaster's office.

We found our way to the Gryffindor table and there was barely anyone there except for the first years and a select few.

"Where is everybody?" I ask Piper and Nico who where sitting beside each other.

"Everyone, Leo included, is at the quidditch tryouts." Piper said.

"Okay." I said, "We have something to tell you."

"What?" Nico asked while stuffing his face with food. Then for the third time today we told them what happened in divination.

"She spoke the prophecy!" Piper nearly yelled. That resulted in some strange looks from the Hufflepuffs.

"I don't know what we're going to do. Piper nearly blew it on the first day. People have been suspicious ever since," Nico said sending a glare towards Piper.

We finished eating and headed back to the common room, inside the room filled quickly as people came back from keeper tryouts.

Leo walked in with a frown on his face, "I didn't get on the team." He pouted.

"Well," Piper said. "Have you ever played before?"

"No." He answers glumly. Percy, Nico, and Piper laugh at his response. I guess. You can't blame him.

"Hey," Percy said, "it's getting crowded in here. Do you think we should go somewhere more private to talk."

"Where?" Nico asked.

I suddenly remembered something I had read in my textbooks, "I think I may know a place."

Me: I do not own any of the characters. All characters either belong to Rick Riordan or J.K. Rowling.
Percy: Why is Dumbledore, so slow? Why is he so... Dumb as a door?
Me: ... ... ... How should I know?
Percy: It's like this. Dumbledore says, "Oh, my Gods! You just heard what is called a prophecy!" So there I was just sitting like, "Dude, I know already. Just relax, okay."
Me: Why are we even talking about this? When did you even get in here?
Percy: Because... ... ... ... ....

Here's a proposal to you incredibly awesome people. I'm going to open the door and let you have the chance to come up with your own Disclaimer scene. You come up with the Disclaimer and you can PM it to me. I probably won't respond to comments. You can keep sending them until I mark this book as complete(which FYI, hasn't happened yet). No expiration date! I hope you guys have a fun time with this.
