Jay stood outside the campus of Hanyang University. He took out his phone to take a selfie while making sure that the background clearly showed some of the campus. He posted it on the group chat.

Second year of law school was tough. He missed his school friends. When he wasn't busy preparing for his exams or hanging out with guys he got acquainted with at college last year, he often spent his time trying to reach out to his old friends, reminiscing about the years they had spent together. He had managed to meet up with them regularly but this time, he pronounced, he wanted to see the seven of them together.

'Jay-ah'

Jay sighed. Law school was tough, but if he had to choose between that and dealing with people like Han Siwoo, he would pick the former in a jiffy.
A slender girl with chestnut hair and pale eyes linked arms with him. She liked to believe her eyes were naturally hazel and that people didn't know contact lenses existed.

'Oppa, what are we doing today?', she asked eagerly.
Jay looked back at her, his upper lip curled in pure disdain. 'Quit calling me that, we're literally the same age.'

Siwoo pouted.

'Also, we're not doing anything today,' he said dryly. 'I'm busy.'

'Wae?', Siwoo looked like she was on the verge of throwing a tantrum. 'You always say that!,' she whined. 'You're always busy, you're always-'

'Jay!', Jung Mihee waved at him, a gummy smile plastered on her face. Siwoo looked at her scornfully, her face contorted into a a fake grin. She reluctantly let go of Jay's arm and stomped away.

'Mihee-ah,' Jay smiled back, elated to see his friend. She giggled. 'What?', Jay raised his eyebrows in confusion. Mihee threw her head back and covered her mouth with her hand, chortling. Her dark, shoulder length high ponytail did a little waltz and her eyes crinkled into perfect semicircles.

She slapped his elbow gently. 'I practically saved you today, didn't I?', she smirked. Jay sighed dramatically. 'Of course you did,' he winked. 'Just tell her you're not interested,' Mihee raised her eyebrows. 'It's really not that difficult, you know.' 'It's rude Mihee,' Jay frowned.'No it's not,' she insisted, punching him in the arm.

'Ahh, my arm,' Jay held his right arm and pressed his lips together, one of his futile attempts to look like he was in complete agony. Sometimes he forgot that he was bad at acting. This time he had also forgotten the fact that Mihee had punched his left arm.

She rolled her eyes and proceeded to punch him in his right arm.'Wae?', he looked at her incredulously. 'What was that for?', he drew his arms closer to himself.

'Come on, stop being dramatic Jongseong,' she exhaled deeply. 'Let's go eat. I'm starving.' 'Eat?,' he looked around. 'Now?', he scratched his chin.

'Jay-ah', Mihee smiled sweetly. 'Are you slow or you wanna stay at campus after classes to clean the college?', she muttered. 'It's fifteen minutes to three,' she looked at her phone. 'We're going to Udong Gaju Ku,' she said cheerily. 'I've always wanted to try that place.'

'Yah but I want to go to Hollys Cof-'

Mihee dragged him by his arm. 'Your treat!', she grinned, continuing to tug him towards the restaurant. 'Fine....Wait WHAT?', he said out loud. 'My treat? You can pay for own food, you know,' he snapped. 'Yah Jongry bird,' she narrowed her eyes. 'What? "Jongry bird"!', he shook his arm out of her grasp. 'What the hell is that?', he said sharply, his nostrils flaring as he glared at her. 'Maybe I should tell Siwoo you like her back,' she beamed. 'Imagine how happy she would be!', she reached out for her phone.'Yah why are you doing this to me,' Jay groaned. 'I saved you today Jongseong, henceforth you shalt pay for my meal too,' she proclaimed.

'Ugh. Fine, whatever,' Jay gave in. Mihee smiled. 'Jongry bird is the best!'
'Yeah fine just don't call me "Jongry", okay?', he smiled back and put an arm round Mihee.

She nodded.

I know this chapter is pretty dry, I'll try my best to write a better one next time. I know the story might seem like it's going nowhere right now, but it's gonna make some sense soon so please keep reading :)
