After a small spar between the two friends, Kiba and Y/N met up with Issei, Saji, Koneko, and the church duo at a nearby fountain. Apparently they wanted to help them retrieve the Excalibur swords and possibly destroy them. Y/N was fine with the help of the church duo, Kiba on the other hand wasn't too thrilled about the idea.

Kiba: I see...but it is unfortunate that we have to get the approval to destroy an Excalibur from its wielders.

Y/N: Yeah.

Xenovia: Your words are full of contempt. I heard you left the Gremory's, "senpai." (looks to Y/N) And why are you helping him?

Y/N: You know damn well why I'm helping him.

Xenovia: No matter, (looks to Kiba) if you're a stray, I can slay you right here.

Y/N: (puts hand on Elucidator) Try and lift you're blade. I dare you.

Kiba: That is one idea. (produces magic circle)

Issei: Come on guys! Calm down! Let's not fight before we've even done anything.

Xenovia: Both of your hatred towards the Holy Sword Project is understandable.

Y/N: Understandable? They murdered everyone I considered family...

Kiba: (puts hand on Y/N's shoulder) Y/N, calm down.

Y/N: Tch.

Xenovia: It is an affair that we abhor. That is why the leader of the project was deemed a heretic and was exiled.

Y/N: Fine...I won't destroy the Holy Swords...

Xenovia/Irina: Huh?

Y/N: Instead, bring me Valper Galilei. His head will roll.

Xenovia: He had a stray exorcist as his assistant.

Y/N: Freed...

Xenovia: It is common for exiles to work together. (looks to Y/N) We'll bring Valper to you. Just so long as you don't destroy the blades.

Y/N: Just bring me him. I'll take his life and show him the suffering we did for that ungrateful bastard.

Everyone aside from Kiba was shocked to hear Y/N say that. The one question ran through their minds, what kind of experiments did they put them through in order for them to hate that man?

Kiba: If Valper is involved, I have no reason to refuse you're offer.

Xenovia: Now that's settled, we will repay you for the meal someday, Red Dragon Emperor, Issei Hyoudou. (walks off with Irina)

Issei: (sigh of relief) That worked out great, huh?

Saji: "Great" my ass! Never mind how we could've been chopped up, we could start a war between the church and the Devils!

Y/N: He is not wrong on that matter. Which is why I suggest you stay out of this Issei. This is a burden between Kiba and I.

Kiba: Y/N's right. I'd like you all not to take part in this. It is a burden we both share. It is our personal pursuit for vengeance.

Issei: But we're apart of the same peerage, family! (looks to Y/N) And you promised us we'd stick by each other's side. Naturally, that means the other way around too!

Y/N: I broke that promise years ago when I was taken. I'm sorry.

Issei: But we're friends aren't we!?

Kiba: You're not, but--

Issei: I'm not letting two good friends of mine go astray. I'm not the only one. All our friends will be upset too! You okay with that!?

Kiba: Rias-buchou...

Y/N: For the longest time...I had no one to consider family ever since that day...but it seems I've had family all around me.

Kiba: That's right...the first time I met her...was because of the Holy Sword Project.

Y/N: They experimented on us...

Kiba: Our freedom was stripped away, we weren't treated as human beings.

Y/N: And yet we still believed God had chosen us. What a joke that was...

Kiba: We hoped of becoming heroes in our hearts someday, and we withstood the countless experiments.

Y/N: And yet we weren't able to wield a single Holy Sword. So many of us were lost...

Kiba: We were to be disposed us to hide every detail of the experiments.

Y/N: Everybody was spitting blood or crawling on all fours to get away...and yet we kept begging for God's help.

Kiba: And yet two of us were able to get away...

Y/N: Our purpose now is to solely live for revenge, to avenge our fallen brethren. (thoughts) Arigato...kaa-san...for being there when no one else was.

Kiba: I can't thank the president enough for making me apart of her peerage. However, I was able to escape the laboratory with the help of my friends. That's why I need to use their grudges to power my demonic swords and destroy Excalibur.

Y/N: As the sole two survivors...

Kiba and Y/N: It is our duty to get vengeance for our friend's deaths.

Saji: (sobs uncontrollably) Kiba, Y/N! I didn't know you guys had gone through so much! I don't care what the president does to me! Hyoudou, I'll do everything I can to help!

Issei: R-Really? Thank you.

Koneko: I'll also assist you two.

Kiba: Koneko-chan?

Y/N: Koneko...

Koneko: I don't want you to leave us, Yuuto-senpai. I also don't want to leave behind a potential friend.

Y/N: (smiles) I guess we can't go by ourselves when it's these guys trying to stop us. Eh, Kiba?

Kiba: (smiles) Yeah.

Issei: Does that mean!?

Kiba: Yes. We shall graciously accept you're help.

With a plan now devised, Kiba and Y/N had established that they were to go with Issei and the others while Xenovia and Irina would move separate from them. They were now headed to where Issei had his first battle with the peerage, and the location where Kiba and Y/N had their sparring session earlier.

As they were walking, Y/N got a message from Azazel.

Azazel: 'Going after the Holy Swords?'

Y/N: 'Of course. I'm assuming Vali is there and he'll take care of Kokabiel seeing that you can't?'

Azazel: 'On the mark there. Only when the time is right though.'

Y/N: 'I see. Keep me posted on the situation with Kokabiel then.'

Kiba: Who was that?

Y/N: Just a client. Had to cancel a contract.

Kiba: Was it okay to do that?

Y/N: Considering the situation now, yes. Besides, I have a ton of money from most of the contracts I've done.

The group arrived and they sensed a presence above. It was Freed Sellzen, who jumped from above and tried to attack the group. Y/N unsheathes Elucidator and parries the blade away.

Freed: Well well well, if it isn't the Black Swordsman! And he's working with the Devil scum!

Freed: It's the brats and the midget--(notices Koneko's irritated gaze) Whoops, my lady! Here I thought I would have a wonderful time hunting priests tonight! Is this a shitty Devil cosplay group?

Y/N: I see you have an Excalibur. Perfect. (unsheathes Blue Rose Sword)

Kiba and the others toss of their disguises and prepare for battle.

Freed: My my, all four at once? It's hard to be this popular!

Kiba: Do not be surprised. The two of us is you're opponents.

Y/N: Let's go, Kiba!

Y/N twirls his swords, using {Double Circular}, dashing forward. Freed dodges the blades and Y/N plunges the blades into the wall. Kiba and Freed jump onto the roof and start to clash there. Y/N jumps back and supports Kiba with his magic.

Y/N: Burst Element!

Balls of red energy leave Y/N's finger tips and make it's way towards the two swordsman clashing on the roof. Freed quickly kicks Kiba to knock him off his balance and slices the magic apart.

Freed: You and you're stupid magic! Die!

Freed charges and leaps into the air and thrusts his sword down. Y/N crosses his sword, blocking Freed's sword. Y/N then steps back and raises his left sword, putting it on his shoulder, and swings it down, using the skill {Vertical}. Y/N then uses Skill Connect to follow up his attack using his right sword, using the skill {Slant}.

Issei: If he could stop moving around, then maybe I can strengthen Y/N or Kiba.

Saji: Hyoudou. So we just need to slow him down, right? Line, activate!

A purple, magenta light surrounds the area. Then a black gauntlet appears on Saji's hand. He then launches a blue absorption line in the direction of Freed, who was launched into the air due to Y/N's Sword Skill. The line causes Freed to fall and grasp onto the edge of the building.

Saji: See my sacred gear over here? It's named the Absorption Line!

Issei: That's your sacred gear?

Saji: Yep!

Issei: That's great!

Saji: Take that!

Saji pulls on the line while Freed slams and slashes Excalibur on the line, hoping to break it.

Freed: This sacred treasure is also dragon-based?

Issei: And it's part of a dragon? (gets picked up) Whoa!

Koneko: Here I go. (tosses Issei)

Issei: Koneko-chan!

Kiba: Issei-kun!

Issei: Kiba! (outstretches arm)

Issei touches Kiba's back with his gauntlet and it yells out, "transfer," signaling Kiba that his power has been boosted. Kiba plunges his sword into the ground, activating his sacred gear.

Kiba: Sword Birth!

Swords start to rapidly appear and Freed desperately swings his sword, destroying the swords nearest to him.

While he was distracted, Y/N raises the Blue Rose Sword into the air and plunges it down.

Y/N: Enhance Armament!

A blue magic circle appears under Y/N and explosion of ice appears and makes it's way towards Freed. This ability was meant to hold foes prisoner, not kill them. Y/N knew this because Eugeo had told him. Y/N was saving this ability to make sure that Valper could never escape and he only used it when he needed to.

Y/N: Bloom blue roses!

Vines of blue ice roses then appear and make it towards Freed, who is desperately cutting away the ice and the various swords that kept appearing. Kiba and Y/N then halt their attacks as they heard a familiar voice.

???: Sword Birth and the ability to infuse magic into their swords, strengthening the attack.

Kiba: Who is it?

Y/N: That voice...

Soon a big man, who was very chubby, and wore glasses stepped out.

???: It is a sacred gear that provides unlimited potential, and its power is based entirely on the inherent capability of the wielder. And the Enhance Armament, a technique so powerful that not even I know it's full capabilities. Freed, it seems you have yet to fully master the use of the Holy Sword.

Freed: Oh, if it isn't old man Valper!

That name rung in Kiba's and Y/N's ears. It was him. The one behind the project. The one behind their suffering and despair.

Issei: Isn't that the guy Xenovia mentioned earlier?

Y/N: Valper Galilei!

Valper: So it is.

Freed: So you say old man, but this brat and the other brat's thingy got in my way.

Valper: Concentrate your will into the blade.

Freed concentrates his will into the blade and begins to emit a yellow and orange aura. The Devils in the area could then sense how dangerous it was.

Freed brings the blade down and it slices through the absorption line that Saji had made.

Freed: (grins maniacally) I see. If you effectively use one's sacred will with it, it would strengthen further.

Valper: Yes. And that is exactly how the "Sword Skills" work. Isn't that right, little experiment?

Y/N: I'm not you're damn experiment!

Valper: Oh? Then what are you?

Y/N: I'm you're death!

Freed leaped into the air. Instead of going to Kiba, he went for Y/N instead. Y/N takes the Blue Rose Sword out of the ground and prepared to parry the oncoming attack. Before Freed's blade came into contact with Y/N, another blade parried Freed's.

Irina: Just in time!

Saji: Irina Shidou-san! Why?

Koneko: It was planned that way. (holds up cellphone)

Xenovia: Freed Sellzen. Valper Galilei. Both of you shall be convicted in the name of God!

Y/N: (thoughts) God is dead.

Freed: Don't you blurt out those shitty words in front of me, you bitch!

Kiba comes from above and slashes down, but Freed dodges and landed next to Valper.

Valper: Freed.

Freed: Huh?

Valper: Your objective was to eliminate the ones who were sent here by the church. But now, we have two Excalibur wielders in our hands, so the situation's changed. Let's leave for now.

Freed: Okie dokie! (takes out flash bang) Bye for now!

A bright flash emits the entire area and they disappeared.

Y/N: Umbral Element! Found you!

Thanks to the Umbral Element, Y/N was able to detect the Excalibur sword so Xenovia, Kiba, Irina, and him take off in the direction of where they went.

Issei, Koneko, and Saji were about to take off as well, but were soon stopped by their respective masters.

Issei: Wait up Kiba! What's up with everyone!?

Rias: My this is quite troubling.

A few minutes later, Y/N and co. were still chasing down Freed and Valper, they could hear the pained screams of both Issei and Saji.

Y/N: Seems like they're having fun. Kiba, I just realized you might have to experience that.

Kiba: Huh?

Y/N: Never mind.

Irina: (thoughts) I-Is Y/N going to do that to me too...?

Xenovia: Irina...

Irina: Y-Yes?

Xenovia: You were thinking of--

Irina: Ahh! Xenovia-san, stop it!

Y/N: Huh? What?

Irina: Nothing! Nothing's wrong!

Y/N could only stare at the flustered Irina, who was sporting a large blush on her face as she increased her speed and was ahead of the others. Y/N only tilted his in confusion and had a dumb founded face. Kiba and Xenovia...

Kiba and Xenovia: (thoughts) Are you that dense that you don't even realize her feelings for you?

Next Day

Issei had suffered a thousand magic butt slaps as punishment for disobeying his master's orders. However, he wasn't thinking of perverted thoughts at the time. He was too busy wondering where Kiba and Y/N had run off as they haven't responded to any messages.

Later on in the day, Rias's familiar had found a wounded Irina and the Gremory peerage teleported to her location. They found her lying on the dirt path with a broken Blue Rose Sword.

Issei: Irina!

Rias: This is...

Issei: Asia!

Asia: (heals Irina) Who in the world did this?

Issei: Irina, what happened? Where's Kiba, Y/N, and Xenovia?

Irina: They were able to escape...

Issei: Escaped?

Irina: I was the only one who failed...and I broke a precious weapon to Y/N...

Irina remembered. Her Excalibur sword was taken from her and Y/N left the Blue Rose Sword with her in order to defend herself. From what the group could infer, they were up against a strong foe.

Later on, Sona's peerage showed up and took the damaged Irina to her home. Issei gripped the handle of the Blue Rose Sword and stared at it intently. Soon after, they felt a presence behind them.

Freed: Why hello there! Seems all of my prey have assembled at one place! A really nice day to you! (sticks tongue out) Shitty Devils!

Issei: Freed!

Saji: So it is you after all.

Freed: Oh, what is this? It's the now shitty turned Devil, Asia-chan. (sways) Are you having a great time now as a devil?

Issei: You bastard! If you plan on hurting Asia, then... (activates sacred gear)

Soon Sona jumps in and prepares to attack with Rias while Freed holds his hands up in surrender.

Freed: Hey, wait up, wait up! We have something to say to the crimson-haired lady.

Rias: Something?

Freed: Well, it's our boss actually.

Soon the sky turns purple and the peerage's look up to see a Fallen Angel of leader class as he had ten jet black wings.

Kokabiel: I believe this is our first time meeting, daughter of the Gremory family. My name is Kokabiel.

Rias: Good day, Kokabiel. My name is Rias Gremory. Pleased to make your acquaintance.

Kokabiel: Such a crimson beauty you are. You look like the crimson-haired Satan. Both of you are an eye-sore, something that would make me puke.

Rias: So what do you intend to do by meeting us here. To have a Fallen Angel class leader meet us here in person.

Kokabiel: I was thinking of going all out here in this city, with your stronghold, the Kuoh Academy as the center of all activity.

Rias: Our academy?

Kokabiel: If I can accomplish that, then even Sirzechs would have to finally take action. Am I wrong?

Rias: If you do that, the war between God, the Fallen Angels, and the Devils would once again break out!

Kokabiel: (laughs evilly) I thought some form of retaliation would take place if I tried to take away the Excalibur swords. All I got were low-level exorcists and two Excalibur wielders. It was dull. Too unimpressive.

Sona: Then his real objective from the start was...

Rias: For war to break out.

Kokabiel: Indeed it is. It became dead boring after the great war between the three powers ended. Even Azazel and Shemhazai didn't agree on having another war.

Issei: Azazel? Shemhazai? Where have I heard those names...that's right. Raynare spoke about it before.

Akeno: Azazel, the Governor General of the Fallen Angels.

Issei: The big bad boss, huh?

Kokabiel: That Azazel was not only negative about it, he's even started collecting those unexplainable things called sacred gears. He's currently too absorbed in his research.

Issei: Not only the Excalibur swords, but you also plan on claiming all the sacred gears as your own!?

Kokabiel: If you're talking about your Boosted Gear-class sacred gear, then that won't function as a weapon. It doesn't interest me on bit. Azazel might take interest in it. But his fanaticism in collecting those things is beyond weird.

Issei: I won't let you claim them as your collection!

Kokabiel: The Fallen Angels, God, and Devils are working on a thin line of equilibrium right now. If that's the case, then I'd just have to make one break out.

Rias: You really are a complete war freak.

Kokabiel: That's why I'm focusing you on you Devils right now. Lucifer's sister, Rias Gremory and the Leviathan's sister, Sona Sitri. Might as well go after her son too.

Rias's Peerage: Son?

Sona/Tsubaki/Saji: (thoughts) Right, they don't know it's Y/N yet.

Kokabiel: If we use the institution where you are currently attending, then waves of magic would ripple throughout the area. I could enjoy the ensuing chaos that would be brought forth by it. It would then become the perfect place to start a war.

Saji: That's crazy.

Issei: This guy is really going nuts!

Freed: (laughs maniacally) His craziness is what makes him great and wonderful! It makes my blood boil for some real action! (opens up jacket) He even gave me these presents!

Freed shows off the various Excalibur swords he had taken, including Irina's.

Kokabiel: Let us participate in this war. Sirzechs Lucifer's sister. Rias Gremory!

The Fallen Angel opens a magic circle, sending many light attacks down below. The attack subsides and the rest of the peerage's head to their school It was the assault on Kuoh.
