Hey everyone, welcome to the second chapter of The Black Reaper. Before you get into this I wanna go over the vote from the last chapter. So, the character you'll be paired with none other than Ruby Rose, great choice to everyone who voted for Ruby. With out any further adieu, lets get into the second chapter.

Your POV

You slowly arose from you slumber and when you were somewhat half awake, you sat up on the couch you slept on and turned towards the tv hanging on the wall just across from you. You reached down to the table next to you and grabbed the remote that was next to your mask. You turned on the tv and flipped it over to the news to see if there was anything new going on.

Reporter: "Last nights dust store robbery was lead by the nefarious criminal known as Roman Torchwick. Although he did escape custody, there were witnesses saying that the infamous Black Reaper was here as well, along with a professional huntress and a huntress in training. Although they both declined to give their thoughts on the matter."

You: "Seems like that name will stick with me. Not that I am complaining, it is a good name. Although now I suppose I don't have to tell Junior I failed seeing as how he watches the news every morning. Well, better get ready for Beacon."

You walked across the room and stopped in-front of a closet door. The door, like the floors of the house, was a brown oak wooden door with a golden door knob. You turned the knob of the door and opened it. Inside was different clothes that you had wore in the past. Along with all of your weaponry. You grabbed a pair of blue jeans, a dark red short sleeved shirt and changed into those clothes. Next, you grabbed your black scabbard for your swords. The scabbard was in the shape of an x, with a double strapped harness going across the front. You never unstrapped the harness because it seemed like it waisted to much time. Instead you would pull it over your head, due to the harness being made of elastic material, it was easy to stretch over you head and wear it. Once it was on, you grabbed Vengeance and Felicity and put them in the scabbards. Vengeance went in the right scabbard while Felicity went in the one on the left. You then reached into the closet and pulled out a dark brown belt that had two black holsters either side. You put the belt on and the grabbed your duel Dessert Eagles and put Executioner in the right holster, and Soul Punisher in the left holster. You then grabbed some spare clothes and put them in a suitcase that was next to the closet door. You closed the closet door, turned around and walked back to the couch you were sitting on before. You grabbed your scythe, which was still in its smaller form, off the small oak table and placed it on your lower back, just bellow the scabbards. Lastly, you grabbed your cloak off the couch and put it on over everything except the hilt of your two blades. This way, you could still grab your swords with out your cloak getting in the way and your scythe would remain hidden from view. You picked up your mask off the table and pressed a button on the side of the mask. This is something you added recently, when pressed, the mask would become small enough to fit inside your pocket. You placed the mask inside your pocket and took one last look around the house. You let out a sigh and grabbed your keys and suitcase before you walked out of the front door, being sure to lock the door behind you, and made your way to the docking area for the Bullheads that would bring you to Beacon Academy.

Time skip

You had arrived at the loading area for the Bullhead about an hour after you left your house. Your suitcase had already been loaded onto the Bullhead. There was quiet a lot of people here, most of them appeared to be new students coming to Beacon from Signal. You could tell because there were some familiar faces among the crowd. But you did not see Yang anywhere at all.

You: Maybe she slept in, Yang never did like to wake up before eight.

That's when you heard her voice coming from somewhere in the crowd behind you. You turned around and saw her waving at you from the crowd. You waved back and you then noticed that there was something or someone who was trailing right behind her, as Yang got closer, you noticed that it was Ruby who was following Yang.

Yang: "Hey Y/n! You ready for Beacon?"

You: "As ready as I'll ever be Yang. So Ruby, what brings you here?"

Ruby: "Well, last night, I helped prevent a dust store robbery and got the chance to meet the headmaster of Beacon, Professor Ozpin. He said that due to my exceptional skills with Crescent Rose, I could come to his school two years early."

You were shocked by what you heard. Last nights failed mission resulted in Ruby being allowed to come along with you and Yang to Beacon Academy. You felt a sense of joy because the two of the three people who saved your life four years ago were now coming along with you to Beacon.

You: "That's great Ruby. It's nice to know you'll both be coming along the ride with me, it just would not feel the same with out both of you here."

Yang: "I know what you mean Y/n, we sure have been through a lot together."

You: "Yeah. We have."

Ruby: "Well, they'll be boarding the Bullhead soon, the we can all start out new lives at Beacon!"

You: "Hehe, hahaha!"

Ruby: "Heeey, what's so funny Y/n?"

You: "Oh nothing, you're just always so hyperactive aren't you Ruby?"

Ruby crossed her arms across her chest and puffed out her cheeks and looked at you with her best pout face. It made you smile slightly and that's when Yang let out a sudden gasp.

Yang: *gasp*

Ruby: "What is it Yang? Is some thing wrong?"

Yang: "No, nothing's wrong Ruby."

You: "Then why did you let out that gasp?"

Yang: "Because this is the first time I've ever seen you smile or laugh Y/n."

Ruby: "Wait, what?"

Ruby looked back at you and saw the smile that was still on your face from her pouting face earlier. Ruby suddenly grew a slight tint of red across her cheeks and you became worried that she might be sick.

You: "Are you alright Ruby? You seem a bit red. You don't have a fever do you?"

Ruby: "What, noooooo. I'm fine Y/n."

Yang: "Ruby, come here. Now."

Ruby walked over to Yang and they both walked a few feet away and began to talk to one another. Although you could not hear exactly what they were saying, you could tell that what ever the conversation was about, it did upset Ruby quiet a bit because she was trying to hit Yang and at one point, she covered Yangs mouth with her hand.

POV change Ruby

After I saw Y/n's warm smile, I blushed slightly because it made him look adorable. I blushed slightly from his smile but he apparently thought I was sick as he asked me if I had a fever. Yang then called me over to her and we walked a few feet away, just enough so that we could not be heard by Y/n. Although I don't know why Yang brought me over here, what could be so secretive that she would keep it from Y/n.

Ruby: "Alright Yang, why did you bring me over here?"

Yang: "Your not sick are you Rubes?"

Ruby: "No Yang, I'm fine. I promise."

Yang: "Then why did you have a tint of red across your cheeks back there? If you not sick then it must have been you blushing."

Ruby: "What...are you implying here Yang?"

Yang: "My dear sister Ruby, do you like Y/n?"

Yang caught me off guard with that question. I mean, yes I like Y/n, he's been our friend ever since we saved his life all those years ago. But I have a feeling Yang meant it as do I like him as more than just a friend.

Ruby: "Of course I like him Yang, Y/n has been our closest friend ever since we saved his life all those years ago."

Yang: "Ruby...that's not what I meant and you know that."

Ruby: "I...uh...don't...know what you're talking...about Yang."

Yang: "Ahah! You do, my little sister has a crush on, hmhmh.

I quickly rushed over to Yang and covered up her mouth with my hands to silence her from finishing her sentence. Yang had figured out my little secret. I've had a crush on Y/n for some time now. He was always so kind to me. He helped me with my class work, homework and was always fun to be around. Every time I was around him, I felt like I had twice the energy I normally do. I slowly removed my hands from Yangs mouth and put my index finger to my lips to signal her to remain quiet. I looked around to be sure that Y/n was not anywhere near us.

Ruby: "Shh, ok Yang you're right. Just pleeeaaaasssee don't tell Y/n."

Yang: "Don't worry sis, I won't tell him. Buuuuttt...."

Ruby: "But what?"

Yang leaned in closer and whispered something into my ear, I did not like where this was going one bit. When ever Yang leaned into my ear to whisper something, it would usually always have something to do with one of her schemes.

Yang: *whispering* "If you don't tell him how you feel, someone else might beat you to the punch."

Ruby: *gasp* "Yang why do you have to bring that up now I'm gonna feel pressure and...."

Yang: "Haha, calm down Rubes, I'm just messing with you."

I calmed down a bit but Yangs words got suck inside of my head. 'Someone else might beat me to the punch.' Hopefully I be able to gather up the courage to admit my feelings to Y/n sooner rather than later.

Yang: "Come on Ruby, lets get back to Y/n. We'll be boarding the Bullhead soon and we don't wanna miss that do we?"

Ruby: "You're right, we do not wanna miss that, lets go!"

POV change You

Ruby and Yang had been talking for awhile now but they seemed to be done talking and were now walking back towards you. Yang had a smile on her face, while Ruby seemed a bit nervous about something.

Yang: "Sorry about that Y/n. I just wanted to be sure my baby sister was not sick. You don't need to worry about her, she's fine."

You: "That's good to know. Ruby, you seem nervous about something. What is it?"

Ruby: "Huh, what? Oh it's nothing, I just don't want people to think I'm special because I got moved ahead two years. What if..."

You: "What if...what?"

Ruby: "What if I don't fit in? What if nobody at Beacon likes me?"

You: "Ruby, you have nothing to worry about. You'll fit in just fine at Beacon. And nobody has a reason not to like you, in fact you're one of the most likable people that I know."

Ruby: "Do you really mean that Y/n?"

You: "Of course I do. Like you two have always been there for me, I am always there for you, and I'll be there for you if you need me."

Ruby: "Thanks Y/n!"

You: "Anytime, now lets go board, we don't wanna miss the Bullhead now do we?"

Yang: "Yeah! Come on sis!"

Yang and Ruby both walked towards to Bullhead to board. You followed close behind them but remained a few feet away.

You: I wish I could tell you both the truth about what really happened that day four years ago. I probably could at any point, but I don't want either of you to think less of me because of what I've done as a result of that incident.

You boarded the Bullhead with Yang and Ruby and the three of you talked for awhile before you went and found a quiet place in the corner to peacefully gather you're thoughts. You took out your scroll and looked at your messages. And sure enough, there was a message from Junior asking about last nights failed mission.

Junior: Hey kid, what happened last night? You have never let one of your targets escape before.

You: Don't worry Junior, the next time I see him, he will not escape. I promise.

After sending Junior a reply, you looked up from your scroll and saw that the same huntress from last night had appeared on a hologram on the ship. Although it was only for a brief moment, it seemed like she had a message for the newer students. After the hologram disappeared, other students looked out the window in awe. They saw a clear view of the town below, you took an quick glance and saw the beauty of the town from the height of the Bullhead. It was mesmerizing but you did not look long because someone on the ship was vomiting on the floor. He made his best effort to hold in as much as he could but failed and spewed a little out and then rushed to the nearest trash can.

You: "Huh, guess the view is not for everyone."

Time skip: Beacon

The Bullhead had finally landed at Beacon. As the doors opened, everyone rushed out of the airship to begin exploring the academy. It was quiet nice in your opinion. Although in the rush of everyone getting off the Bullhead at the same time, you lost track and sight of Ruby and Yang.

You: "Welp, hope they don't cause too much trouble. Like cause an explosion or something."

After a while of walking around the front of the academy, you decided it was time to try and find the reception hall where all the first year students gathered. But as you were walking, you heard an explosion coming from somewhere behind you. You turned around and looked for the source of the explosion. That's when you saw Ruby and another girl covered in black smoke for a brief moment before the wind blew it off their clothes. You slowly started walking over to where Ruby was to see if you could help.

You: "Wow, the wind sure is strong up here if it blew all the smoke off them and their clothes. I'd better help Ruby before this gets out of hand."

???: "Ugh you complete dolt! You almost blew us off the side of the cliff!"

Ruby: "I'm so sorry."

???: "You're sorry? Do you honestly think that makes up for anything?! We could have died!"

You: "But you did not. So how about you calm down and stop insulting my friend here."

Ruby: "Oh, hey Y/n. How long have you been there?"

You: "Not long, now what exactly happened here?"

Ruby: "Weeeeellllll....."

Ruby never got to start explaining what happened because the girl with white hair interrupted her. She was also wearing a white combat skirt that went down to her knees and changed color from white at the top, to a darker shade of blue.

White hair: "I'll tell you what happened. You're friend here collapsed on my luggage which caused some one of my dust vile's to roll out of the bag. Then while I was lecturing her, she sneezed and we exploded."

Ruby: "Hey I said sorry, princess!"

???: "It's heiress actually."

A girl with long black hair and a bow in her hair walked up holding up a dust vile and carrying a book to her side. She wore a sleeveless white shirt with a black vest over it. The vest had a grey button in the middle and was shaped like a double v. The v on top was facing up, while the other faced down. She had on a pair of white short shorts and leggings. The leggings were black at first but as they went down towards her feet, they became a dark purple color. They also had a grey symbol on the left side of her leg. She also wore black, heeled boots.

Black hair: "She's Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee dust company. The worlds largest producer of dust."

Weiss: "Thank you, finally some respect around here."

You: "Isn't that the same company who uses controversial labor forces and their questionable business partners?"

Black hair: "Yeah, that's the one."

Weiss: "Wha...how dare you!"

Weiss grabbed the dust vile the mysterious girl was holding out of her hand and stormed off in the direction of the entrance to the school. At the same time, the mysterious girl walked off in the other direction. You looked back at Ruby and she was laying down on the ground.

Ruby: "Welcome to Beacon."

You reached down with your hand and extended it to Ruby who had her eyes closed. She then slowly opened her eyes and turned her head slightly and stared into your blue eyes with her sliver eyes.

You: "Come on Ruby, lets go. You can tell me more about this on our way to the reception hall."

Ruby: "Alright, thanks for the help."

You: "Anytime."

Ruby grabbed your hand and you lifted her up to her feet with ease. She seemed a bit shocked by your strength at first but then you both began walking to the reception hall, where ever that was.

You: "Something tells me that she did not tell the full story. Did anything else happen?"

Ruby: "No, she pretty much covered it all."

You: "Then why do you seems so down? Did she say something?"

Ruby: "Yeah."

You: "What did she say?"

Ruby: "She said that I was too young to be here at Beacon, that I don't belong here with everyone else."

You became angry and clenched yours hands into fists. You could not believe that someone would actually say that to Ruby before they even got a chance to know her. Ruby noticed your anger and put her hand on your shoulder to try and calm you down. You took a deep breath and relaxed a bit.

You: "Don't listen to her bullshit Ruby. Like I said before, you have just as much of a right to be here as the rest of us. It does not matter what anyone else says. The fact that she said that to you before getting to know you means she's just a spoiled brat who has not had enough human interaction in her life."

Ruby gave you a hug and held on to you tightly as if her life depended on it. You returned the hug and you both stood there like that for a few minutes before Ruby spoke.

Ruby: "Thank you Y/n. That means a lot to me."

You: "You're welcome Ruby, don't listen to her ok? You do belong here."

Ruby: "One last thing."

You: "What's that?"

Ruby: "Watch the language ok?"

You: "Haha, alright, I'll try. Though that won't be easy."

Ruby: "I know, but at least you'll try your best. You always do, but the next time you do swear, you'll owe the swear jar."

You: "Wait what's the swear jar."

Ruby: "I'll tell you about it later, right now, lets find out where we need to go ok?"

You: "Alright Ruby, lets go."

I know it's a bit shorter than the first chapter but that's because I'm going to try and span out these chapters seeing as they are going to be longer than my normal chapters. This way you all won't get confused by any sudden information that I may add.
