She quenched her revenge, he will quench his vendettas.

But nobody knows when the cupid kills the devil.

Forgetting all their rules, breaking all the walls around them, Manik and Nandini were cuddling in each other's arm in the hard floor of terrace. The sun rays disturbed the slumber of Manik and he opened his eyes to look at Nandini who was still in deep sleep. He touched her forehead to check her fever to find her back to normal temperature.

"Nandini!",he softly called her and she immediately, as if waiting for him to call her, opened her eyes. He looked at suspiciously and chuckling said, "Were you waiting for me to wake you up?"

She looked in his deeply and whispered, "I'm always aware of my surroundings!"

"You should be! You never know when you're enemy will be there to harm you!"

"No one but I can harm myself! I'm calamitous for myself!"

"What?", he chuckled to clear the depth of her words, "For now you're in my embrace and I won't let anyone other than me harm you!"

Both chuckled and sat back. He stretched his arms and said, "My muscles are sore! Yours also might be.! Stretch yourself!"

"I was on the most comfortable bed!"

"Are we flirting? Black Queen breaking her rules in one night?"

She laughed truly while he admired her laugh, "Ain't you happy? That's what you were trying from first day!"

"Well my lady happy? Yes! Surprised? More than that!"

She laughed and stood up giving her hand to him, "Let's go! We have a long ride to go together!"

He stood taking her hand and she went away while he thought looking at her retreating back,

"Why is she so different this morning?"

Answering him she stops and without turning said, "Manik! Don't stress yourself! Sometimes a small gesture can fix someone's heart and a big mistake can't break someone's soul!"

"So you mean my gestures has fixed your heart?", he asked as he smiled looking at her back.

"May be my heart was never broken but your gestures healed the cracks temporarily!", she replied with a smile as she turned towards him.

"So you mean from the cracks I entered into your heart!”

Without replying she went downstairs. Smirking on his victory he followed her.

“You didn’t answer me!”

“Maybe because you know the answer!”, she replied, “Can we please go back to reality? Because a lot of things are waiting for us!”

The BQ Company’s employees were hot on their tails because today a big deal is cracked and the competitor lost with a big amount.

As soon as Black Queen came to her office, Navya, her p.a. who just now returned from the trip in which Black Queen has sent her, went to her cabin.

“So! Navya! I heard that we had the deal with us?”, Black Queen said playing with the chess board kept in front of her.

“Yes ma’am!”, she replied.

“Isn’t it amazing?”

“What ma’am?”

“Check!”, she said trapping the black King with the white pawn, “Look! The pawn is trying to defeat the King!”

Navya looked at her and replied, “All the black King has a few pawns so even the pawn of opponent will try to defeat!”

“Uhh huh! Right! But look the King saved himself!”

“If not now then maybe next time but the King has to die! This time it was only check next time it will be a checkmate!”

“Aa haa! I like the spirit!”, she replied taking a sip of her wine, “But what other’s didn’t realize is that the pawn is the soul of the game and here it transformed itself into the black Queen! So wait for the next move maybe all the pawns will die!”

“If you allow then can I go ma’am?”

She smirked and nodded, “Navya! I think the ‘construction-going-on’ sign has been removed!”

“Yes ma’am!”
