Still in Flashback, but 1 year later
Naruto's POV
It's hard to believe it's been a year since I made a deal with the Land of Waves. Ever since then I've been working the young people of this village harder than they've ever been worked before, and in exchange, the people of the village have been organizing missions for me. This way, they get a new generation of military might to rival even the that of the Five Great Villages, and I get a fresh set of missions every week between training sessions.

Through these missions I have drastically increased in power, and have even managed to acquire a pair of sharingan eyes from the tomb of an ancient Uchiha. While the eyes are incredibly hard to learn to wield without being born into the Uchiha, with months of tirelessly training with the eyes utilizing shadow clones for training, I have been able to mostly master the sharingan.

The missions I have taken have been rapidly increasing in difficulty. I am nearly positive I have ascended to SS status; above even a kage. I couldn't have done so without the help of Kurama, Yoro, and Jiraya.

Jiraya, after training me for a year and a half or so, left once again to find a new life after leaving Konoha forever. I've bought Yorokobi a pleasant house in Suna where she is under Gaara's protection. She will likely be in danger due to being so close to me, and I can't have little Yoro in danger. It felt like just yesterday that her and I were on the run from ROOT, at their mercy if not for Kurama. It's difficult to believe that was nearly 2 years ago. 2 years since those Konoha demons sentenced me to eternal exile for hurting their precious drag queen. I wander the village in search of lunch before my workout resumes.

"Dang it, Kurama, I can't find a ramen shop anywhere!" I say desperately.

"Shut it, your forty minute break time is up. You will do 100 laps around the Wave Country, then 45,000 push-ups, 95,000 sit-ups, then work on your chakra control."
Kurama barks like a drill sergeant. I continue to think back as my training resumes

End of Flashback and Chapter

Hey guys! If the ending for the Flashback seemed a little confusing, just check out chapter 2 again. It should clear it up a little. Also, I'm excited to get back into the action! I'm really excited for the future of this book, and I think I know how I'm gonna end it! It's gonna be intense. Anyways hope yall enjoy life.
