Chapter 26
"You look...Good.."
♢ ♢
"Cedric! Get away! Go back to the cup!" I screamed, though my screams were muffled by the hiss of a snake, the hissing getting closer. "Cedric!" I screamed again as green beams shot at him, sending him turning and flying into the ground, his body limp once it fell.
Standing up in a hurry, I scurried over to him, screaming. "Cedric! I tried!" I shouted, clutching his body as the snake continued to hiss, until it lurched towards me, waking me up with a startle.
I hadn't been able to sleep without having reoccurring nightmares. It was all I saw when I closed my eyes.
Ambling towards the bathroom, I felt around, searching for the knob, flicking on the light as I headed towards the sink, turning it on and splashing water in my face, looking at myself in the mirror. With a small sigh, I looked at the clock, placed about the bath. "20 past 6.." I mumbled, heading back to the bed, grabbing my book. "Why not.." I mumbled to myself, opening the book, taking in the new book smell.

There was a knock on the door, pulling me from the world of famous Wizards. "Come in.." I mumbled, closing the book and sitting on the edge of the bed. Draco popped his head around the door, smiling. "Hey, breakfast will be ready any minute"
With a nod, I stood up, wandering over to him. "I'm ready anyway"
"You been up long?" He asked as we headed towards the dinning room.
With a shrug, I answered. "A while, I guess.."
"Did you sleep alright?"
I shrugged again. "Well, same as usual..." I said, straight after yawning.
He looked at me, brow raised. "And how's that?"
"Not great.." I muttered quietly as we entered the dinning room, Lucius and Narcissa already there.
Narcissa stood up, clasping her hands together as she often did. "Ah, there you are, eat up, we've got to head into town today" She smiled.
Draco groaned as he pulled out a chair for me. "Do we have to?"
"Draco, your mother has told you what you are doing, you will do it and listen to her!" Lucius snarled from across the table.
Draco looked down as he sat, "Yes father.."
"Good, Olivia, Narcissa was wondering if there was something you needed? An outfit maybe, you must look presentable when it happens, do you understand that?" He asked, starring at me with intent.
I stuttered, openning my mouth then closing it again before I spoke. "I-I understand.."
"Ah, good! I know just the dress shop!" She smiled.
I gave her an exasperated smile before delving into my freshly prepared breakfast.
♢ ♢
"Look at this lamp shade! Draco, what do you think of this lamp shade?" Narcissa asked her only son as she doted over a black and silver lampshade.
Draco sighed, wandering over to us. "Mother, it's a lamp shade, you have plenty"
Narcissa tutted and tapped him on the chest, "Nonsense, I think it'd look great in Olivia's room, don't you agree, Olivia, dear?"
I looked up at them both, Narcissa smiling, Draco smirking with his arms folded. "I-I-Well-Erm...It's nice, I suppose..." I spluttered causing Draco to chuckle and shake his head at me, gripping the bridge of his nose.
"See! Olivia knows good things when she see's them" Narcissa smiled as Draco placed his hands on my shoulders, leading me away to another part of the shop.
Still chuckling, he called out to his mother. "Yes, of course, mother" He stopped, taking his hands off my shoulder as we looked at discounted books that were dumped in the corner of the shop, gathering dust. "Thought I'd save you, plus, there seems to be a collection of books here I thought you might like" He smiled.
I crouched down, reading the spine of every book, blowing some dust from some of them in order to read the spine. Most of them were books I'd never heard of before, but written by many famous Muggle authors, which I knew of. "Any you like?" He asked.
"They're all muggle books, by famous authors.." I looked up at him, waiting for his reaction.
He raised a brow. "And?"
"Well, I've been rather interested in case studies about famous witches and wizards.." I admitted slowly.
He nodded as I stood back up. "The thought was nice though" I smiled, pecking his cheek quickly as his mother called us back.
"That's that shop off the list, next it..." She ran her eyes down a list, written on parchment. "Aha! The dress shop, come along, Olivia!" She smiled, rushing off as Draco joined behind us.
Draco stopped his mother, right outside the shop. "I'm going to go to another shop while you two try dresses on, I won't be too long" He explained, causing his mother to nod.
"Alright, don't go too far" She smiled as he nodded and trotted off. "Come on, you're going to love their dresses!" She grinned, allowing me to enter the shop first.
As I stepped in, I spotted all the dresses hung up, some on display, some on racks. Some long, some short. Some bright, some dark. The shop floor coated in red carpet that looked far too luxurious for its purpose. "Take a look over here, dear" She smiled, luring me over to the section that had black dresses.
"Black's the staple colour, right?" I muttered.
"Ideed" She nodded as we searched through dresses, picking a few out.
A small, but older looking woman came over to us, "Hi, do you need some help?" She asked as I looked at her name badge.
Narcissa turned to look at her, 4 dresses in her arms. "Ah, we'd like to try these on, I think" Se smiled, looking at me. I nodded and the woman led us to the changing rooms.
"Here, do show me when you've got one on" Narcissa smiled. I nodded and disappeared behind the changing room curtain, picking up the first dress.
I walked out, unsure on the dress, showing Draco's mother. Speaking of Draco, he wasn't back and it'd been a while. She clasped her hands together again. "You look gorgeous" She smiled. "Do you like it?" She asked.
I shrugged. "Well, I don't know, is it really necessary that I wear a long dress?" I questioned.
"It is usual dress code.." She explained. "Try the next one on!" She said, a smile appearing on her face once more. I obliged, heading back into the changing rooms and putting he next dress on.
I slowly stepped out. "I don't like it..." I confessed, I hated the bottom, it was too..flowy. "I liked the freedom of the split near my leg.." I explained.
"Alright, dear" She smiled, urging me to go and try the next dress on. With a small nod and a chuckle, I did.
It felt nice, dress shopping with her, it made me feel like a normal teenager, not like some freak.
Twirling in the mirror, I smiled, the dress was nice, however, I felt like it was in appropriate for meeting the Dark Lord, too much skin, maybe? I heard muttering before I stepped out. As I looked up, I saw Draco, his eyes wide. "Oli..." He said breathlessly.
"Look at you!" Narcissa smiled as I twirled yet again. "So grown up, how about this one?"
Looking down, I nodded. "I like it, but, isn't it a bit inappropriate to meet him in?..." I mumbled.
Narcissa looked down, "Well, we can always buy it for another occasion" She smiled as I nodded and went back to change into the final dress.
This one was slightly more causal and less ball gown like. It was by far my favorite. As I stpped out, I grinned. "This is my favorite.." I stated.
Narcissa nodded. "Say no more!" She laughed, instructing me to take it off as she wandered away, heading to find someone that worked there. Draco walked over to me.
"You look...good.." He said, breathless.
Blushing slightly, I tucked a small strand of hair behind my ear. "Thanks, I should go take it off" I said, shifting under my weight.

We walked out of the shop, Draco in front, next to his mother as she carried the bags. "Well, what a lovely day" She smiled as we wandered back to the car which was ready to take us home. It was a long black car that had blacked out windows and a man was waiting, opening the door as we walked over to it.
Draco stopped, letting me get in first. "Ladies first" He chuckled. I stopped and raised a brow.
"Shouldn't you get in first then?" I laughed.
He rolled his eyes, "Whatever, get in, Olivia"
"Ooh, back to Olivia" I smirked, getting into the car, Draco following me.
The ride mostly consisted of Narcissa asking me questions, likening me to my father and stating how fun the day had been for her. "She doesn't get the chance to go shopping with another female often, suppose today was good for her" Draco muttered, laughing.
I broke out laughing as his mother looked at us both before she looked back out of the window once again, Draco placed his arm on top of the seat. We smiled at each other as we approached the Malfoy Manor..
