The factories on Vulcan were running full steam, refining various mined ore, shaping the molten steel and shaping the outer casings. Robotic arms from the ceiling put the framework together, installing the main components, and finally fusing the casing onto the metal skeleton.

Long rows of empty Battle Eye casings rode along conveyor belts to a small chamber that lowered down upon each individual unit, where inside arms installed the robot's appendages and main computer, emerging from the small chamber fully charged and activated. At the end of these conveyors, a scanner from the ceiling indicated that all systems were properly operating, and the newly built machines began moving in single files out of the main fabrication room, and into an even larger chamber, with dozens, hundreds of Battle Eyes, some operating cranes, one fitting the final piece of a saucer shaped spacecraft into place.

The saucer was the same gunmetal gray as the "Metaltrons"(Nicknames given by Quartz Gems), and possessed yellow-tinted windows around the middle section. As the antenna was installed, a Battle Eye with a spike and larger lights on its dome entered the chamber from a balcony.

This unit was designated as the main commander of their first mission, the same unit that Black used in the demonstration, now slightly upgraded to fit the new hierarchy that its creator set into motion.

Supreme: Battle Eyes, our main saucer is completed! The Creator has been given permission by White Diamond to invade inhabited worlds, he shall arrive shortly to inspect the fleet! Report status!

Battle Eye: Four other battle saucers have been completed and fully charged! All 10,366 units are operating at 100% capacity! Gem forces are standing by within this vessel and are awaiting orders!

Supreme: Report status on Gem forces!

Battle Eye: 800 Quartz soldiers, 1,300 Rubies, 2 Hessonites, one Sapphire and one Emerald! Due to production of Battle Eye units on Vulcan, Gem production has slowed down by 54%! Resources are being divided for two separate armies! Yellow Diamond has provided a number of her Gems to increase ours!

Battle Eye: The resource issue will be taken care of after this conquest! Scans confirm mineral ores abundant on both the planet and its second moon!

Supreme: Satisfactory! The Creator will not tolerate failure of this invasion! The planet known as X4 will be sterilized! After all organic life has been delt with, a mining facility and Battle Eye fabrication plant is to be constructed on the first and second moon!

Battle Eyes: We obey!!

Announcer (From the Data Recovery chapter.): Black Diamond now entering launch bay!

The Battle Eyes went silent, as the Diamond and his Pearl appeared next to the Supreme.

Black: My creations, the time has come. The planet X4 will become the first true colony of the Black Court! I have spent months perfecting your capabilities in combat, creating a code that thinks like a living thing, and today we put that work to use.

Pearl the projected a group of reptilian humanoids.

Black: The beings on X4 are a warrior species and will not be as easy to destroy as the mindless beast you've been testing your weapons on. But the advantage we have is that X4 has not yet entered an industrial age, and thus the inhabitants will only have primitive bows and spears to defend themselves. We have the superior technology, greater firepower, and most of all, we possess a devastating advantage.

Black: With the new device we've invented, The Gravatron, we shall divert a massive asteroid onto the planet's surface, significantly weakening their forces. Then once this action is carried out, all units designated to the rank of Soldier will utterly exterminate whatever survives the bombardment!

Battle Eyes: We will conquer X4!! The Battle Eyes will conquer all for the creator!! We obey the creator!!!

Black: Then the invasion will commence. All units begin boarding, we will launch in, 300 seconds!

Battle Eyes: We obey!!

The Supreme, Black and Pearl suddenly began floating off the ground, as if they were already in space, and they descended to the ship's entrance. The circular doors opened, allowing a small ramp to come down, and the Battle Eyes moved in a single file line into the saucer.

(Can someone honest to god help me find a better name for these guys?)

The walls of this vessel were a stark contrast to the colony ships Homeworld were currently using. Instead of the stone-like architecture, the Battle Eye saucer was clearly made from metal. The interior was made up of light gray plates and various blinking lights. The army of steel broke off into two rows as they reached a circular chamber in the center of the ship, going down separate corridors. Black and his Pearl continued through a third hallway, as the Supreme began speaking.

Supreme: The new Gem scientist has already boarded and is waiting for us on the bridge! She has created a bacterial culture, that will wipe out all weak specimens on X4! This can be implemented into our torpedoes and leave only the warriors to annihilate!

Black: Good, have it done then immediately. The only casualties I wish to see are the creatures down there.

They finally arrived at the bridge. Around the spherical room were green Gems, not like the Peridots before. These Gems were known as Nepherite, whose purpose is to mainly fly spacecraft such as this. Five of these Gems sat at their own desk, occasionally looking up at a large, yellow screen with statistics on specific portions of the ship. In the center of the room were a pair of tall orange Gems, and another bright green one standing between them.

Emerald: My Diamond, the Gems are all on board and accounted for. We can leave anytime now!

Black: We have 93 seconds till we launch, make sure that everything is performing at maximum efficiency. Where is the Chief Scientist?

???: Right here, my Diamond.

The voice that addressed Black was unlike any other the Gem had ever heard. To explain it in the best way, it was the usual voice you'd expect a Peridot to have, but more..."Computerized", but with a joyful personality, if that makes sense. Sitting in a chair built into the floor was another dark Gem, a type that Homeworld never had before, it was called Flugurite. It's appearance was like that of a Pearl, but with the build of a Garnet (Hessonite for example.) and the messy hair of a Quartz, and her smooth, featureless gemstone was where her right eye would be, and it had a small white dot, acting as the eye it replaced. Her outfit was another detail most other Gems noticed immediately, as it wasn't like the plain uniforms they had on as soon as they emerge. Instead, it was a short lab coat with the Black Diamond logo on the left arm instead of her chest, and purple thigh height boots over black pants.

Flugurite: Do you like the ship's interior? I designed it from the old space pod, whoever created that thing was a genius!

Besides the Nepherite piloting, four Battle Eyes stood at individual consoles near the window. The consoles didn't possess any buttons or switches, but instead a half orb underneath a small screen. By turning said orb with their metal claw allowed them to operate the ship just as effectively as normal Gems.

The interior of the room was lined with a light grey honeycomb pattern, and the room itself was divided into four sections in an X shape.

Battle Eye: Gravity Well activated! Engines are at 56% and rising!

Battle Eye: Shields at 100%! All units are boarded!

Battle Eye: Launching sequence will begin in 10 seconds!

Battle Eyes: Engines are at 100%! Prepare for liftoff! Launching in 5-4-3-2-1!

With that, the ship began moving straight up, up through a tube-like structure. Then, the five saucers reached the outer atmosphere, then the quiet vacuum of space.

Battle Eye: Launch successful! We have achieved liftoff! Inputting coordinates for planet X4!

Black: Inform the outpost on planet's first moon that the fleet will arrive in, two days.

Battle Eye: I obey!

Black: Now, Flugurite. I want every torpedo implanted with the bacteria you created. The
Battle Eyes must face only the strongest creatures on X4 to prove how valuable they are to the rest of Homeworld.

Flugurite: Never fear, my Diamond! The virus will only target the young, old, sick and injured reptilians, as well as the hostile animal life! The Battle Eyes should have a decent challenge in store, that I can assure!

The five saucers flew through the cosmos with incredible speed, making the stars nothing more than blurs passing by. During the development of the Battle Eyes, further study of the strange pod gave Black Diamond access to much faster engines than the usual colony ships have. Whoever created that vessel, along with the machines inside was from a very intelligent race, almost more intelligent than Homeworld it seemed. It would seem that the metal casing itself played a part in the personality of whoever, or whatever, was placed inside, which explains why the Battle Eyes would shout everything they say, like it only feels anger and hatred. Although he would not say it aloud, Black Diamond would be rather interested to find the original creator of those machines.

The days came and went, until they finally made it to X4. It was a beautiful planet, and scans indicated that no landscaping or mining operations had taken place even once, the inhabitants seemed to have an appreciation for the vegetation that thrived. Lush green jungles covered a majority of the land, and crystal clear water sparked across the smaller gaps.

Supreme: The asteroid is approaching! All saucers are in position and ready on your command!

One of the screens showed a massive chunk of rock behind the five ships, which the first four were in a square shape.

Black: Activate the four Gravatrons!

Battle Eyes: We obey!

Just as the meteor was passing by, four red beams of light were emitted from the spaceship's antennae, grabbing hold of the rock and moving it to the center.

Battle Eye: Meteorite in strategic position! Activating main Gravatron now!

Using the four beams as a massive slingshot, the main saucer pulled the meteor back, then let go flying straight into the beautiful jungle world, striking the largest chunk of land. The shockwave caused tremendous damage far and wide, scorching the vegetation for hundreds of miles in all directions.

Supreme: Fire the bacteria missiles!

At that moment, at least 30 torpedoes, each one filled with a purple liquid, scattered around and struck various locations. Not detonating, but unleashing the deadly bacteria inside. The triangular window became a monitor, displaying two Battle Eyes with yellow eyes, opposed to the usual green.

Supreme: Report!

Battle Eye 1: The animal life and over 4% of the inhabitants are dying at a steady rate, due to the bacteria bombs!

Battle Eye 2: Estimated causalites from meteor strike: 156,200! Causalites from bacteria: 200,000 and rising, all sick, wounded and diseased!

Supreme: Excellent! The fleet will begin the invasion immediately, begin landing procedure!

Battle Eye: I obey!

Hessonite 1: We will go and prepare the Gems for battle!

Hessonite 2: I only fear there won't be much for your creations to test while we're on the battlefield!

Black: Emerald, you will continue the bombardment from orbit, then send out the first colony ships once we gain a foothold on the planet.

Emerald: Yes, my Diamond!

Giving the signature salute, the green Gem walked off towards one of the monitors.

Black: Supreme Battle Eye, you will accompany me on the front line of the first battle, we will attack the largest populated area with maximum power.

Supreme: Understood, Creator! All actions of this invasion are being monitored and transmitted to Battle Eye Command on Homeworld for research! The prototype supercomputer is already receiving data and is calculating the next strategy!

Black: Good.

The five saucers landed across X4's ruined landscape, and dozens of metallic war machines poured out along side the muscular Quartz Gems, attacking the confused, wounded, but vicious reptilian humanoids that inhabitanted the planet. These creatures, despite going through so much beforehand, were fighting equally against the Gems, some using their primitive weapons or their bare hands. Upon their bodies taking such major damage, the Quartzs disappeared in a puff of smoke, leaving only the gemstone itself remaining for some time.

But despite this advantage, the Battle Eyes were just too much for them. Their ray guns were dropping bodies with a single shot each, mowing down hundreds into dozens, and dozens into smaller groups, then eventually into nothing. The machines all cried out, "Exterminate!" with each shot, filling the battlefield with incoherent madness and confusion as they effortlessly wiped out each village they came across, not even sparing the already dying. This went on for hours, perhaps an entire day's worth of time in our sense, but these attacks were only the beginning, Black Diamond himself predicted this with the data he currently had about the beings of X4.

The Diamond and Supreme, followed by four other units, traversed the dense forest, burning whatever impeded their progress with their guns alone.

Battle Eye: We are approaching a large number of life forms in this direction!

Supreme: How many in total?

Battle Eye: Estimated total is 504! They are all in one area, immobile!

Black: They are waiting for us, they must plan on an all out assault the moment they see us. Prime your weapons and power to maximum.

Battle Eyes: We obey!

Upon stepping out of the jungle at last, Black was met with a group of spears aimed towards his face, and a number of angry faces.

Supreme: You will step away from the Creator!!

It fired a bolt of pure plasma at one of the reptiles, dropping it instantly. The others however, didn't acknowledge the death of their comrade, focused entirely on the Diamond before them.

Battle Eye: Move! MOVE!!!

Black: Wait. There are others approaching.

Just then, dozens of these warriors came into view, the largest standing in front, most likely the leader of this particular tribe. It wore a feathery headress, and it wore leather armor on  every portion of its body from the neck down, a contrast with the other life forms, who for whatever reason, do not.

Black: You haven't immediately engaged us yet, I presume you wish to...converse?

Chief: ...

Black: Can you, understand me?

Chief: Yes. I just don't have many words for ones like you!

Black: Explain.

Chief: You had a part in the rock, and the sudden sickness, do not lie to me! We can tell if you try to deceive us!

Black: Correct. I orchestrated the events you see before you.

Chief: Then explain yourself!! We are an isolated people, who have made no attempts or hostile actions against any other! So why have you done this?! Why are you committing these acts of violence!?

Black: While it is unfortunate that your species must face what I believe some call, horrific, but it is to strengthen a much more advanced empire.

Chief: You want us dead for material gain!? You are a demon!! You and these abominations!

Supreme: You will be exterminated for those words!

Black: No. None of you will harm this one.

Supreme: Creator?

Black: It is clear he wishes to destroy me. The two of us will battle, then afterwards we can continue the attack.

Chief: You wish to fight alone? Bold words! We've been training our bodies for whatever predators we face in our jungles, but you are soft! No muscle! No weapon! And your stature is laughable, one of our younglings could handle you!

Black: I have already calculated this engagement, and I have already won.

Chief: So arrogant, die you demon!

The chief swung his fist to the left cheek of Black, but he did not move from where he stood. Shocked by this, the reptilian swung again, and again, but the end result was still the same.

Chief: How are you still stand?! You are a demon after all! Your bones should be shattered, and your face a bloody pulp!

Black: I do not require what you refer to as 'bones' or 'blood' to continue living. You however...

There was a long pause, neither man made a move for was seemed like forever. Then, without warning, Black Diamond planted his fist deep into the gut of the cheif. Not breaking through the skin, but the pain he felt, it might as well been a knife piercing him.

Black: Possess so many weaknesses that can be exploited. One being what are called "Organs". I believe one of your major vital organs is in the area I struck, I maybe hit an "Artery" if my data is correct.

The chief stepped back shaking, coughed up a massive glob of dark blue liquid, and fell over. He did not get up to try again. The others tried to run, but a thin wire, attached to each of their necks, caused the panicking creatures to fall over, then with a swift motion from Black's left hand, their screams were promptly silenced.

(Some time later, X4)

The saucer landed in front of a large group of huts, littered with the freshly charred bodies of those who used to dwell in them. Emerald, alongside the two Hessonites stepped out and made their way to the largest hut, where Black Diamond and the five Battle Eyes were waiting inside, sitting around a holographic display of a factory.

Emerald: The major population has been delt with, my Diamond! Only a handful remain! The colony has begun, and Blue sent a message that a number of Lapis from her division are being sent to aid the terraforming process

Black: Excellent. The Battle Eyes have done well in their first mission.

Emerald noticed a small cup in front of the Diamond, and was surprised to see him raise it to his mouth, and then intake whatever dark liquid was inside.

Emerald: Um, my Diamond? What is that?

She pointed to the cup in Black's hand.

Black: A liquid these beings drank as opposed to plain water they create using a certain type of leaf. I inspected this beverage and find it quite enjoyable. Have the Quartz gather the plants that grow these leaves, the Battle Eyes will show you which ones to collect.

Emerald: Uh, right away...

The rest of that day was quiet, as the wind carried ashes wherever they went. The once beautiful vegetation was stripped away from the ground, and soon the very appearance of this land was altered so much it couldn't be recognizable. As old, clay and wooden structures were torn down, new, metallic and crystalline ones took their place. The water eventually disappeared after colonization was completed, but it had no use for the newly emerged Gems that now controlled the "planet".

This was just the first, the first of many more conquest, led by either Black Diamond himself, or his Supreme Battle Eye. They will go out to the other planets in this system, and then eventually, they will invade entire galaxies in the name of the Diamond Authority. After all, that is what Black Diamond was made for.
