(Lapis)"You still don't remember anything?"

(Steven)"Well, I remember that I live in this house. But other than that, not really."

(Amethyst)"Oh, c'mon man! You've known us for, like, your ENTIRE life! You wrote us a freaking theme song when you were 5, remember that??"

(Steven)"Hmmmmm....nope!"

(Amethyst)"Ugh! This is gonna take for-evvveer!!"

The two large Gems entered, both looking quite displeased.

(Garnet)"We've searched everywhere, and still no sign of Hematite."

(Bismuth)"What's up with that guy?! He's not the Gem to just disappear without telling us!"

(Lapis)"Wait, who's watching that general guy? Wouldn't he be trying to escape?"

(Garnet)"Don't worry, we've taken care of that."

(The Barn)

(SE)*Duct taped to the ceiling, fingers missing* "YOU MULTICOLORED DYKES!"

(Back to the Beach House)

(Garnet)"He won't be going anywhere."

(Amethyst)"Heh, nice!"

(Garnet)"Anyway, I think we have a way to get Steven's memories back."

(Steven)"Really?"

(Bismuth)"Yep! There's an old Gem facility from the war, Black Diamond used it to research data in gemstones. With any luck, it should work on Steven!"

(Lapis)"Huh, that's frighteningly convenient. You sure anything there's still working?"

(Bismuth)"Hey now, I just so happen to have been involved making this thing! Trust me, everything will go fine tomorrow!"

(Back at the Barn.)

(SE)"You come back and unrestrain me this very moment!! ...I'm serious! I'm a high-ranking general, you can't do this to me!! ...No one's coming back, damn Rose! And damn her rebellion! Well, at least till tomorrow I should find something to do..."

In his computerized brain, SE checked his memory files to check if any were corrupted or damaged in the ship crash. One thing was clear though, as somehow, every single file was out of order. At least with this, the Android had something to pass the night.

(SE)"Ok, let's see here...damn, everything is misplaced, at least the files are still intact! Guess I'll start at the t...hm?"

Searching through the jumbled mess of coding, the machine found a set of clips in a diamond-shaped gallery. The gallery was labeled, "The Past".

(SE)"Oh...I actually forgot about this, this was back in my previous body. Well, I guess watching them wouldn't be so bad, I do have the night to myself."

He opened the folder, and played the first video.

[Day 1 Since Activation]

(SE's POV)

Light, just a bright light. That's the first thing I've seen. A "Gem", is staring at me. It's a Pearl, a gray Pearl to be exact.

(Pearl)"O-Oh! My Diamond! It's ready now!"

"Diamond". Yes, that's the one who created me. "Black Diamond", this is his classification. He is a leader, and I am here to be led, yes. That is why I'm here. Black Diamond came into my line of view, standing over me. I'm attached to a table by cables in both of my sides, and those cables are sending energy into my internal batteries.

(Black)"SE-2006...can you, hear me?"

(SE)"Yes."

(Black)"Can you see me?"

(SE)"Yes."

(Black)"Do you know why you are here?"

(SE)"Yes. To assist you in the civil war and so fourth."

(Black)"Good, then we can get to work right away, let's go."

(SE)"Yes, Black Diamond."

The cables detached, and I got off the table. I followed both the Diamond and Pearl through a metal corridor, and many different types of Gems were shocked to see me as I passed by.

(Gem 1)"Is that Black Diamond's new creation?"

(Gem 2)"Is it like a Gem, or something else?"

(Gem 3)"Maybe it's like a Sapphire. There's only one eye."

(Black)"Tell me, 2006, do you know where we are?"

(SE)"The Eclipse Dreadnought, a warship orbiting the planet Earth. You have given me control over a number of weapons for planetary bombardment in this ship."

We entered a spherical chamber with several Peridot's around a set of computers, moving the entire vessel in front of a massage land formation on the planet.

(Black)"That's right, your first job is to test the ship's main cannon, on this portion in particularly."

(SE)"May I know why this spot?"

(Black)"The rebelling Gems have made many alliances with the organic life forms below, mostly in this region. We've tried invading a massive rebel base there for almost five years and had no luck, so it's a lost cause now. I must put a dent in Rose's army until reenforcements come from Yellow's division."

(SE)"Understood, I will prepare the main cannon immediately."

(Black)"You may fire when ready then..."

The fingers on my left hand formed a screen displaying a percentage of the cannon. In a few minutes, the weapon gave an audible hum as it reached 100%.

(SE)"Super Laser fully charged...firing."

All I could see outside was red, and all I could hear was an explosion. But every Gem in this room kept their eyes on the computers. When it was finally over, the land that was hit, it was gone. There was a massive space being filled up by the ocean.

(Black)"Wonderful..."

(SE)"The region was been utterly vaporized. The estimated body count......144.5 million."

(Black)"All in one shot...if only we could use this more often. However, I still need to keep the planet in one piece. Anyway, for now, I want you to oversee the surface conflict until reenforcements come."

(SE)"I obey..."

[Returning to folder...]

(SE)"So, that's how the first day went again. Odd, I don't remember most of those details, maybe I'm more damaged than I first believed. But there's no time for that however, I'm getting off this planet eventually, and I'll be coming back with some of Black's new toys...

(Short chapter I know, but I have been on this for too long. Next chapter will have more action than my previous so far, so bear with me. Oh, and I hope y'all are having a good holiday break!)
