The uncertainty

Flavia was perplexed and stared at Raúl intently. But she remained silent. Raúl got up and strode over to her. He hugged her, and she broke down in tears.

When Raúl finished explaining why he was being chased and invaded, Flavia was astounded. This was all just too ridiculous and implausible. She'd been stalked by two crazy people: a bloke she'd got slightly involved with and her crazy, repressed and rejected ex.

Flavia disappeared for two days. Nobody had any idea where she was. She didn't go to work or answer her mobile phone. On the third day, she called Raúl and told him to come over.

Raúl went. Flavia opened the door, looking exhausted.

-I know you tried to protect me, but I'm not a child. You lied to me. That's one of the worst things you can do to me. I don't trust you. I want to know what other situations you can find to justify this.

Raúl remained silent. He knew he was taking a risk and he knew it would come at a price.

- I can't deal with this right now, Raúl. I need time.

-You'll have all the time in the world.

Raúl left.
