Personality

Calm and collected, he always keeps his cool in any situation, from the heat of battle to the everyday happenings of life.

He doesn't seem to hold those around him in high esteem, often showing disregard for people, be it heroes, villains, civilians, (at the beginning). As such, some people worry for Hiroto's mental health. 

Along with this, he has shown that he isn't afraid to hurt people, sometimes even seeming to take mild amusement and even toying with thugs and opponents while fighting them, openly mocking them and questioning their strength and prowess. 

He is ruthless and even cruel while fighting criminals and villains, and even to an extend against other heroes while sparring, as seen when he fights against Bakugo during one of their training sessions, having seemingly enjoyed the fight with a small grin on his lips.

He seems to absolutely hate the idea of being restrained or on a leash (so to speak), but plays along with the whole ordeal with the HPSC, who seems to be the ones holding said leash on him. 

He his extremely intelligent and cunning, as seen with the tests given to him by both UA, and the HPSC. He is a well read individual, a surprising aspect of him is the fact he seems to love reading, especially about history and philosophy.

One of the biggest aspects of him that sets him on edge with other heroes however, is the fact that he sees those around him as weak and inferior, bellow him, especially Quirkless people, whom he often regards with little care or love for.  

All in all, he seems to only take interest in his own desires and amusement, the opposite of a hero, which has made many wonder why he even is apart of UA and the Hero program in the first place. 

This has of course made him stand apart from other heroes and his fellow classmates.

But even so, as time goes on, the other students of UA, most specifically the students of A-1, doesn't give up, and continues to befriend him and look after him, which in turn slowly began to earn his trust and friendship.

As such, over time, his personality seems to "mellow" out so to speak when around the students, who he grows fond of in his own way. 

Appearance

Hiroto has silver-white hair, with tan skin. He is of a decent height, standing at a height of 5'8-5'9, he has a well built physique from years of training and fighting, as such he has developed well defined muscles and is in the best shape humanly possible.

His most unique physical trait however, is his eyes, a vibrant blue, which seem to gain golden flecks when hit with light from certain angles, giving his eyes an almost ethereal look to them. 

He also has both earlobes pierced.  

As such, he is regarded as a rather handsome young man, which has gained the attraction of many ladies and even men (before they get to know him..)

He prefers to wear high end clothing and fashions, expensive brands, sunglasses and so forth.

Naturally, with his overall ideals and personality, he doesn't wear a costume, and simply wears his everyday clothes.

Divide 

His quirk allows him to, for a lack of better term, "cut" anything on an atomic level. It is not visible to the naked eye however, but if under any situation one would be able to see it, it would take the form of "a black wave of lines of energy cutting through the air". 

He has to make a gesture with his hands, almost like a thrusting motion to.

It takes great amount of mental fortitude and energy to emit his Quirk, forif he was to loose control of the Quirk, he could potentially harm himself, from a small cut to cutting off his own limbs and body, along with other symptoms of Quirk overuse, such as nose bleeds, fatigue, spitting up blood etc. . Do to this, it takes great precision to properly aim and use Divide.

As such, his Quirk is regarded as one of the most lethal quirks to exist. 

However, even without his Quirk, Hiroto has shown to be extremely dangerous, as along with his Quirk, he implements several styles of martial arts and hand to hand combat, being highly flexible and acrobatic. 

He seems to be extremely durable, with almost inhuman senses and reflexes to boot, as seen when he decided to fight the Nomu when their class was first attacked by the League of Villains, able to go toe to toe with the monster.

Backstory

Hiroto didn't have an easy start in life, as he was born through several very specific methods of science and biological manipulation, funded by a group simply known as "The Organization". From the day he was born, he had been ripped from the arms of the woman who birthed him, and raised by the men and women of this Organization.

He was trained in the art of combat, from hand-to-hand combat, blade-work, firearms, espionage, sabotage and assassination, he was raised to be their perfect little soldier.

He would move from safe house to safe house, lab to lab as they continued to experiment and train on the boy, making him stronger, faster and better as he grew up.

However, one night, one of the main hideouts of the "Organization", was raided by the joint effort of the Police Force and Pro-Heroes. In the aftermath of the raid, they found a five year old Hiroto in one of the beds in the lab, just waking up from another experiment.

When the Heroes saw that the "Organization" had a child with them, one obviously isolated and "raised" by them, they were naturally horrified, and brought him away from the safe house. 

After which, he was put under the custody of the HPSC, who would, where he would continue to be raised and educated, this time under more humane conditions. But Hiroto wasn't blind, he was aware that the HPSC simply saw the potential of gaining him as an asset.

He continued to play along with their games, using their resources to further learn and grow in his abilities and prowess. 

But it was clear by the age of 13 that his view on the world was.... shaded, twisted even.

It had been the first assignment he was given by the HPSC, to track down and capture a former agent who had gone rogue. He had been under the supervision of Lady Nagant. He managed to track down the rogue... after cutting off his limbs, and mocking the rogue until he passed out from bloodloss. 

After which, he was put under severe supervision by more heroes, and when he was old enough, they enrolled him into UA, officially as an assistant teacher, to continue his training and education, but also in hopes of changing his views after being surrounded by other people.
