The Next Day

Eve was trying dresses for the past one hour and Xavier was sitting on the bed. He was watching his stubborn wife who decided to join him today for office. He tried to make her understand but pregnant Eve is more stubborn. Mostly she wears his shirt because it's the most comfortable clothe for her.

"Xavier... I don't find any good dress. I look fat in all." She cried throwing the dress on the floor and sat on the couch.

"Baby, you stay home today. I will come home early then take you on shopping." He said throwing the last straw but she denied it again.

"No, I want to go with you. I know that bitch will be there and she will eye rape you and flirts with you. I want to make her understand that I am your Queen." She said with determination and rubbed her baby bump.

He sighs in disbelief and got up from the bed. He went into the closet and come back with a dress. He hands her the dress and without any complaint, she wore the dress because she knew his choice is always best. It was white color bohemian maternity dress and she was looking cute in it. 

She doesn't like maternity dresses most of the time and blames her mood. She always makes a fuss about dresses because sometimes she doesn't like the color of the dress, or sometimes the design is printed on the dress, or sometimes she found the dress too long or too short, or sometimes she doesn't like the material of the dress. Xavier had been dealing with her different moods every second day.

"Do I look fat in it?" She asked looking at him through the mirror.

He stood behind her and wrapped his hand around her stomach.

"No, you're just carrying our jelly bean." He replied kissing her cheek and his words were enough to bring tears in her eyes.

"Oh... Xavier. You are making me cry." She said with sobs and he chuckled before turning her toward him and caged her by the waist.

Her baby bum again comes in between them and she pouted at him.

"I love you." He said wiping her tears.

"I love you too." She said sides a little and rested her head on his chest.

He kissed her hair and wrapped his hand around her little frame. After a few minutes, they broke the hug and got ready to go to the office. They walked out of the house and sat inside the car. Soon after twenty minutes they reached the office and got out of the car and started walking inside the building while he was holding her proactively.

"Good morning sir, Good morning ma'am." An employee greeted them with a smile.

"Good morning." Eve grinned at him and Xavier just nods his head with a hard face.

They walked into the elevator and he pressed the floor button. She poked his arm and he looked at her narrowing eyes.

"Why don't you greet back him?" She asked with a frown.

"Do I have reason to greet him back? And it's nothing new for me. Every day they do greet me and I just nod my head like this as always." He replied.

"But that's not a good manner. You should greet them back and also need to smile a little with them so that they won't feel bad." She said shaking her head and tried to make him understand like a mature woman.

Xavier rolled his eyes and glared at her.

"I don't care what they feel or not. I'm like this with my all employees." He said with a shrug.

The elevator door opens and they got out of it.

"But you aren't like this with me." She said grabbing his arm and he led her toward his cabin.

"Do I need to give you a reason why I am like this with you?" He asked leaning on her and claimed her lips.

His lips were magically moving on her lips tasting them one by one. He bites her lips and moved his tongue in her mouth. She moaned as he sucked her tongue and tasted every corner of her mouth. None were ready to leave until she felt breathless and pushed him slowly which he broke the kiss. Both panted hard and rested heads on each other. They heard a clearing sound of the throat and backed away from each other.

Mrs. Moore, Mr. Hayashi, and his assistant were looking at them. Mr. Hayashi has a smile on his lips and his assistant too. Eve blushed hard and hides her face in her husband's chest.

"Good Morning, Mr. & Mrs. Knight." Mr. Hayashi said.

"Good Morning, Mr. Hayashi," Xavier said shaking his hand with him.

"I hope you both are doing great." Mr. Hayashi said.

"Yes, Mr. Hayashi. Can we move ahead with the meeting?" Xavier asked.

"Yes, sure." Mr. Hayashi replied.

"Mrs. Moore, please." Xavier indicated at her and she nodded her head.

"Please, come this way, Mr. Hayashi." She said politely and took them to the conference room.

"You go to my cabin and read some good magazines or books. I've arranged everything for you." Xavier said touching her cheek but she shook her head negatively.

"No, I want to go with you." She said clutching his arm and he sigh again.

"Princess, you need rest." He said caressing her hair but she didn't budge a bit.

He gave up on her stubbornness and takes her to the conference room. How can she leave him alone with that woman who used to eyes rape him? They enter the room and he made her sit beside him on an empty chair then he took his chair. As the discussion started Eve engrossed herself in reading the book on her mobile but she was glancing at Mr. Hayashi's assistant who was shamelessly checking out her husband in front of her. She decides to deal with her after the meeting. After an hour Xavier shakes hands with Mr. Hayashi with a light smile.

"Nice meeting you Mr. Knight." Mr. Hayashi said.

"Pleasure is all mine and nice meeting you too Mr. Knight." Xavier mouthed.

"And congratulation to both of you for your baby." Mr. Hayashi congratulated them.

"Thank you, Mr. Hayashi." This time Xavier said with a smile.

Eve just smiled shyly and clutched Xavier's arm but she caught Mr. Hayashi's assistant eying at her husband. She walked to her and smiled at her.

"Hello, Ms.."

"Kim. My name is Kim." Mr. Hayashi's assistant Kim said.

"Ms. Kim, Can we have a little chat?" Eve asked in a honey-coated voice.

"Y... ya.. yes, sure." She replied shuttering a bit.

"Follow me then." Eve mouthed walking out of the conference room.

She followed her while Xavier and Mr. Hayashi were still talking but Xavier had a little idea what she was going to talk about with her.

"Mrs. Knight, you want to talk about something?" She asked hesitantly tucking her hair behind her ear.

"I won't play merry go round. The next time you come with Mr. Hayashi; keep your eyes up from my husband. You work in a big company and it doesn't suit you that you ogling at someone else's husband. I don't like the way you were looking at my husband and tried to flirt with him when you clearly know that he is married and going to be a father in a few months. I can do anything if want to but I won't do anything to you. But I request you don't ever try to break someone's marriage." Eve said very politely.

Kim was touched by her humbleness and tears filled in her eyes.

"Ma'am, I'm so sorry that you felt this way. I never meant to hurt you or break your marriage. It just... It is just I have feelings for Mr. Hayashi but he never notices me. So just to know his feelings I flirt with another man in his presence but now I know he doesn't have any feelings for me so I will just move on. I'm sorry ma'am." She said wiping her tears and smiled at her.

"Aww... you're in love. I forgive you and I'll help you. Just come with me." Eve grinned and they walked to Xavier and Mr. Hayashi.

"Mr. Hayashi, I would like to invite you to our family gathering tonight. Please, don't deny my request." Eve said sweetly and Xavier grabbed her arm possessively.

"Mrs. Knight, how can I come? It's a family gathering." Mr. Hayashi exclaimed.

"I know Mr. Hayashi but please do come. I am inviting you. Please..." Eve requested.

"Mrs. Knight, I couldn't deny your sweet request. I will surely come." Mr. Hayashi said with a smile.

"Great then please bring Ms. Kim along with you," Eve said excitedly and he nodded his head glancing at his assistant.

"Alright, then my driver will pick you both from the hotel," Xavier stated.

"Thank you, Mr. Knight. See you tonight."Mr. Hayashi said.

Eve hugs Kim and whispers, "Wear something that makes you look gorgeous not this skirt and shirt. If you don't have good clothes then call me." She put her card in her hand and winked at her.

They went from there and Xavier narrowed his eyes at her which she grinned at him.

"What was that? Aren't you being very friendly with Ms. Kim?" He asked sitting on the chair and pulled her in his lap.

"She likes Mr. Hayashi a lot. So I just played a small card." She replied showing her teeth and he rolled his eyes.

"Stop playing cupid in someone's life." He said with a frown and she slapped his arm.

"Don't be so sports spoil. You're my husband and support me. I am doing good work." She said twisting her lips and he kissed her cheek.

"As long as you don't hurt yourself I'm with you." He said making her smile brightly and she hugs him tightly.
