It has been two days since Eve got discharged from the hospital. Xavier was doing his office work from home as Eve was still afraid that he will leave her alone again. They still didn't talk about that matter because for him nothing is more important than her health. When she will get perfectly fit; he will talk to her and make her understand her importance in his life.

Xavier was in the library and attending a video conference meeting for the upcoming project while Eve was sleeping in their room. She had been lately sleeping a lot due to the medicine. He heard her screamed and instantly got up from the chair. But before he left Eve rushed into the library and saw him already.

"Xavier..." She sobbed throwing herself in his arms.

He lifted her and sat on the chair with her in his arms. He turns off the speaker and minimizes the screen.

"Princess, what happened?" He asked caressing her hair and she sobbed hard.

"Why did you leave me? I got afraid." She cried hugging him tightly.

"Princess, I didn't leave you. I just had an important video conference to attend. I am here only." He said breaking the hug and wiped her tears.

"Don't leave me again." She said hiccupping a little.

"I will never leave you, my love. And go back to our room. I will be there in half-hour." He said kissing her nose but she placed her head on his chest and hugged him tightly.

"I don't want to go. No.. no.. no..." She said shaking her head negatively.

"Princess, stop being stubborn. I promise I will come back soon." He said rubbing her back but she refused to leave him and he sighs.

She was still insecure that he might leave her and it wasn't her fault though because he left her once although it was not purposely still he left her and that's what scared her the most. He turns on the screen and his employees were shocked to see a girl in his arms. His wife; they assumed because he had confessed in the front of the media that he wasn't single anymore. They could barely able to see her face as she had hidden her face in his chest.

"Let's continue where we left." He mouthed in a cold voice and they nodded their head.

She grabbed his hand and started playing with his fingers. And he continued speaking ignoring the shocked look on his employees till the half-hour. He turns off the laptop and glanced at his innocent wife who was snoring in his arms.

"Princess, wake up." He said rubbing her back and she snuggled more in his arms.

"Now, now... it's enough. Wake up. You need to eat something." He said trying to pull her back but she was acting stubborn now.

"Alright, then it's good that you are sleeping. Now I can eat all the strawberry muffins." He said with a smirk and she instantly got up with a grin.

"No, you don't like strawberries. Muffins are mine." She said pointing her finger at him and he laughed aloud.

He got up with her and walked out of the library. He took her to their room and went into the bathroom. They had a small bath and comes out of the bathroom. He made her wear one of his shirts as she doesn't want to wear her clothes and he gave up against her stubbornness. After changing in something comfortable they got downstairs and she sat on the couch while he went to the kitchen. He had already asked Amelia to make muffins for her. Amelia left after making their lunch. He walked out of the kitchen and Eve's eyes twinkled seeing her favorite strawberry muffins. She was about to grab it but he rose up to his hand and winked at her mischievously.

"No, give me my muffins." She said jumping but he moved back.

"Take it yourself, little girl." He said with a smirk and she frowns as he runs from there.

"Xavier, I swear I will kill you if you didn't give it back to me." She said furiously and chased him.

The chased game continued for a few minutes until she gets tired and slumped on the couch with a foul face. He silently sat beside her and forwards the tray.

"Take it away. I don't want to eat them anymore." She said pushing his hand away.

"Well, then I can eat them alone." He said taking one muffin and bought near his mouth but she snatched it from his hand and stuffed it in her mouth.

He laughed ruffling her hair and she glared at him chewing the delicious muffin. He turns on the TV and puts on her favorite movie.

At Night

Xavier pulled her in his lap and made her wrapped her legs around his waist.

"Princess, now listen to me. I got angry at you because you didn't tell me about your problems. For whom I earn? Mom, dad, and you. Although mom dad don't need my money but they are our family. I earn for you, for us. If you don't use them then who will use my money. You lived a tough part of your life before the marriage but now you have me. As much as I respect you; I also love you and I can't see you in pain. You are an inseparable part of me and my everything is yours." He said holding her face and kissed her head.

"Xavier, I am sorry for hiding about my job. It just my parents never gave me anything. They also didn't pay my fees. In school, there was one of my teachers, Mr. Winslet used to pay my fees because he was our neighbor and knows how my parents used to treat me. He treated me like his daughter because his daughter and wife died in an accident. He also paid my first-year fees but then he also met with an accident and died. And then my friend Bony asked her boss to give me a job in her café and that's how I started doing the job to pay my fees. After marrying you, I decide to continue my job. I don't want to be a burden on you." She said lowering her gaze and he lifted her face.

He looked into her eyes and felt bad that she had gone through a lot in her childhood. And her parents were the worst parents ever. How can someone do with their daughter?

"My God... princess. I am really sorry that you had such a childhood. Now you have me and I promise to fill your life with so much love. And never ever say that you are a burden on me. Now I have got you and will always hold you. Princess, I love you and will always love you so much." He said kissing her forehead and hugged her tightly.

She buries her face in his chest and tears rolled down from her eyes. She cried her heart out in his arms and he let her cry. It was the last time he was letting her cry because from now he won't let her cry and let other people make her cry.

Next Day

Eve was looking at him with a foul face and he sighs shaking his head. He walked up to her and cupped her face.

"Princess, I have to go. Try to understand." He said bringing her face closer and rubbed his nose with hers.

"But... but what will I do alone?" She asked with a pout.

"I have a good suggestion for you. Why don't you call your friend here? Joshua will pick up her from the college." He replied kissing her pouty lips and her eyes twinkles with joy.

"Really. Then I will message them." She said pulling him thus he lost his balance and fell upon her.

"Them? As far I know you have only Bony in a friend." He said opening the button of her shirt and cupped her breast.

"Umm... I have two friends. Bony and Victor." She moaned as he squeezed her breast and he stopped hearing the name, Victor.

"You have a guy in friend?" He asked raising his brows and she nodded her head.

"And why I don't know about this guy friend of yours?" He asked roaming his finger on her waist.

"Because you never asked." She replied innocently.

He looked at her and burst out in laughter later she joined him laughing along with her. After a few minutes, they stopped laughing and kissed each other. Her toes curled up as he deepens the kiss and she grabbed his hair tightly. She moaned in his mouth as he sucked her tongue and squeezed her right breast. The kiss becomes wild as they both started nipping each other lips. After savoring the moister of each other mouths they broke the kiss breathing heavily. He goes on knees and removed his pant then claimed her lips once hovering over her. The morning couldn't be more beautiful when he made her love after so many terrible days.
