Christmas was good, well until the deal that is. 

The reliance deal was to be held at the conference hall of Shahaan Industries headquaters,  London, UK,  my office at 10pm at night! 

So after all the christmas celebrations i decided to see the lil angels and theb head to the office. 

"Ammi,  i am going to work" I yelled from the living room. 

"Okay salaam!" she yelled back. 

"Hay wait!" said Hasti as she ran to me. 

"What?" I asked her as I straightened the tie. 

"your meeting is at 10pm, its barely 8!" she said and I sighed. 

"Hasti,  i have work,  allah hafeez" i said and wlaked out. 

I wanted to tell her but then again, i like to hide good deeds. 

I got out of the house and got into my car. I had to meet them and then i had to insha allah finalize the Reliance Deal. 

I drove out towards the Lil Angels home. 

"Assalamualaikum Kaif bhai!" they screamed as soon as I stepped out of the car. 

Lil Angels Home was an orphanage that i always visited. I always donated things here and they were like family to me, a family that my real family had no idea about. Not that they would object or anything, just that i really did not want them to you know- get to know i am doing such things- idk but when I started giving them things and all, i really did not want ammi and Zaki to know. 

"Wa alaikum mus salaam wa rahmahtullah hi wabarakatuhu!!" I replied as i walked inside the huge house. 

"Kaif bhai, Jazak Allah khair for the toys!" said Zayna. 

"Welcome sweethearts!" I said as the boys hugged me. 

There were about 12 kids here, majority were girls and there were only 5 boys, Uzair 5 years old, Waqif 4 years old, El 7 years old, James 9 years old and Kashav 3 years old. The rest got adopted. 

The girls were Tanaya, Kiara and Kaya, all 9 years old, Zayna was the eldest 10 years and Louis and Farah 4 years old and Tara the youngest, 2 years old. 

"So how was christmas?" I asked them as I set in the living room. 

They crowded around me and sister Liana smiled at me warmly

"Kaif, dear, whatever you have done for us in the past years we really-" said Sister Liana as I stood up. 

"Sister Liana, I consider you as my mother and these kids as my siblings so please don't make me feel like a stranger by saying such things!" I said and she smiled

She put her hand on my head and tears rolled down her cheeks

"May your lord shower his utmost blessing and health upon you and your family!" she said 

I smiled

"Allah has given me and my family so much wealth and heath alhamdulillah, so it is my duty to give some happiness to them!" i said to sister liana 

She grinned. 

"Every mother should get a son like you!" she said as the kids cheered 

I stayed there for another hour before heading to work. They wished me luck for the deal. 

I walked out in the cold and unlocked my car. I was about to get in when I noticed a hooded figure walking away. 

Seemed familiar. I sprinted after her. 

I knew it! The anklets sound. 

"Hasti what are you doing here?" I yelled to the figure and she halted. 

She turned around and there stood, ladies and gentleman, Hasti! Red from cold. 

"I- ah...." she trailed off as she rubbed her hands together

"Hasti what are you doing out in the dark? and alone?" I asked her sternly

she came to me and sighed. 

'It felt good to see you with those kids" she said smiling

"Why are you-" I said and then it hit me, "Were you following me?" I questioned her and she looked away guiltily

"Hasti Raahat, why were you following me?" I asked her

"i thought you went to meet someone!" she blurted out after a minute of silence. 

I stared at her. Was she serious?

"Someone as in who?" I asked folding my arms over my chest and glaring at her

she looked down at her feet. 

"answer me!" I semi yelled

She looked up startled but answered anyway. 

"A girl-?" she said looking down at her feet again

I stared at her face for another second before bursting into laughter. 

I clenched my stomach as I laughed. 

"Stop laughing!" she growled and i looked up to her. 

"You actually thought that I- I-" I said and started laughing again

"Yeha so? I was only doing it for ammi's sake!" she replied 

"Uh huh! ammi's sake or you were jealous?" I asked her smirking

she turned redder and i could not figure out if it was from embarassment or she was blushing. 

"N- no!" she replied 

"You- were Jealous!" I said in a teasing tone. 

"I was not!" she said glaring at me

I laughed 

"Come on, let me drop you home before i go to work!" I said and she shook her head

"Why not?" i asked her

"You will be late for your meeting, its already 9.30" she said and i glanced at my watch. 

She was right! Damn. 

"So you come with me, stay in the office lounge and return home as soon as my meeting is over!" I said to her and she nodded. 

after 15 minutes we were at the office. 

"Evening sir!" said Kiara, the receptionist. 

"Hello Kiara, please show Hasti to the lounge and make her comfortable until the meeting is over" I said to Kiara and she nodded. 

I turned to Hasti. 

"Stay here and don't do anything stupid" I said and she grinned. 

"Sure, salaam" she said and walked away with Kiara. 

I smiled. Her smile sent butterflies free in my stomach. Damn!

I went to the conference hall for the meeting.

"So after all the presentations, we would like to congratulate Mr. Kaif for winning the company!" said the CEo of Reliance Cooperations. 

I grinned. 

"Thank you all!" I said as they congratulated me. 

After all that, i finally walked out of the hall, last one after closing up. 

"Hi Kiara, where is Hasti?" I asked her 

she smiled. 

"Hasti went home, with Zaki sir" she replied 

I nodded and dialled up Zaki. 

"salaam bhai" he said 

"was salaam, did you pick up Hasti from the office?" i asked 

"Yes, she is safe at home" he said and i smiled 

An hour later i was at home, exhausted and tired from all the work. 

"Ammi, I am going to sleep" i said and ammi nodded 

I sprinted to my room, changed,prayed Isha namaaz and then jumped into bed. 

"Kaif?" called out Hasti's voice

I was too tired and worn out to answer. 

"Kaif?" she called out as her footsteps grew nearer. 

"Whhapppffuuutt?" I asked her 

"Ah... i needed your medics" she said coming in the view. 

lucky i had my comforter all the way to my face. 

"In the cupboard" I said as i turned around and closed my eyes. 

Ya Allah Alhamdulillah for the deal! Just please let Hasti be mine... 

With that thought I slept peacefully.
