Ch. 54

Luna

The next morning, I was in the kitchen, talking with Remedios while she prepared some breakfast. She was practically a second mom, always offering advice and a listening ear. I really needed her perspective after she saw Colton last night.

"Remedios, do you think I should wait a bit before I date again? You know, after everything with Barry."

She stopped and gave me a look with her wise, kind eyes.

"Luna, you know I lean towards the conservative side. I think it's important to take time to heal. It's only been four months since you broke off your engagement. People might not be cool with it if you rush into a new relationship."

I leaned against the counter and let out a sigh. "I know. But Colton... he's different. It feels right with him."

Remedios kept on chopping veggies for the omelet, nodding. "I understand, dear. But consider how the media will react. They're always watching your every move. They'll feast on any news about your love life. Your broken engagement is still recent news."

She made a good point. The paparazzi wouldn't leave me alone after I broke up with Barry. "So, what should I do? Just wait? For how long?"

Remedios smiled gently. "Yeah. Maybe six months or a year would be enough."

"That's too long." I heaved a deep sigh. "Our date turned out so good last night, and I want to see him again."

She patted my hand reassuringly. "I can't blame you. Mr. Colton is a delightful man. Just take everything slow for now."

"Yeah, that's what we decided last night - to keep our relationship on the down-low."

"See? He really cares about you. He understood your situation."

I smiled, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders. "Thanks, Remedios. You always know what to say."

She had a little laugh. "That's what I'm here for. Now, have a seat and dig into some breakfast. You've got a busy day ahead."

***

Friday evening at the office was so quiet, not the usual chaos, but just the soft hum of lights and distant city sounds. It was getting late, and most of the staff had already left. I was just hanging out at my desk, with only the light from my computer screen and a little desk lamp making things feel cozy.

Colton suddenly showed up at my door with a picnic basket.

"Having a busy night?" he asked, leaning against the doorframe with a charming smile.

My eyes got huge. Seeing him made me so happy, like all my tiredness melted away.

"Colton, what on earth are you doing here?"

"I figured you need a break," he said, all smooth and confident. He closed the door, and it echoed in the silent office. "What do you think of a late-night picnic on the rooftop garden?"

My heart fluttered. "That sounds perfect."

We went up to the rooftop garden, where the city lights sparkled like stars. The area was very private. No security camera, just me and Colton, with the moon and stars as our only audience.

Colton laid out a blanket and started unpacking the basket, revealing yummy snacks and a bottle of wine.

"Wow, this is incredible," I said, sitting down beside him. "You're great at giving surprises, you know?"

He chuckled. "I aim to please."

We hung out, ate, drank, and talked, the conversation just flowing. I ended up sharing everything, including my fears, in a way I never have with anyone else.

"You know," he said, thinking while sipping his wine. "I always admired your strength and determination. Even in college, when we hated each other, I still had mad respect for you."

I grinned, feeling a cozy warmth. "I have to admit, I always found you annoyingly arrogant, haha. But I also knew you were super smart and talented. That's probably why we fought a lot."

He agreed. "We were both stubborn and career driven. That could be the reason we work so well together now. We balance each other out."

As the night went by, I leaned in closer to Colton, attracted to his warmth and comforting embrace. We just lay back on the blanket, staring up at the stars.

"You know, Luna," he whispered, turning to look at me. "I've never felt this way about anyone before. It just feels right being with you. Like I'm exactly where I should be."

My heart was bursting. I turned towards him, our noses almost touching. "I feel the same way, Colton. You make me feel whole."

"Can we make it official, then?" His hand touched my cheek, his thumb gently stroking my lower lip. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

I smiled and gave him a kiss on the lips.

"Is that a yes?"

"Absolutely, yes." I answered, and his eyes gleamed brightly, mirroring mine.

"Thanks a lot, Luna. You made me the happiest man in the entire universe."

Colton moved closer, kissing me softly yet urgently, taking my breath away. I hugged him, feeling his warmth.

We were getting really into it, our tongues exploring every part of our mouths, making us ignite into flame.

His hands exploring my back, his touch growing more intense as he pulled me tightly against him.

I softly moaned into his mouth, my fingers getting caught in his hair as I made the kiss more intense.

The garden disappeared, and it was just the two of them in our own little world. His kisses moved down my neck, his tongue tasting my skin.

I shivered and leaned into him when he hit the sensitive spot below my ear.

"Colton..." I whispered, my voice filled with desire.

With a low growl, he grabbed my dress and slowly slid his hand under. His fingers were like magic on my skin, giving me goosebumps as he teasingly brushed his fingers along my thighs to the edge of my panties.

"Ah...Colton." I moaned in pleasure.

He paused and looked at me with a confused expression.

"Oh. I'm so sorry." He mumbled, his breathing ragged. "I don't know what came over me. I totally forgot we're taking this one step at a time."

"What?" My eyebrows snapped together. "If you're going to stop now, I swear, Colton, I'm going to kill you."

His eyebrows rose and gave me a teasing look.

"Oh, I don't want to be murdered. It's going to be messy in here." He chuckled, then he kissed me again.

He quickly removed my panties, his fingers finding me wet and ready.

I couldn't breathe, my nails digging into his shoulders as he teased me, his touch driving me wild. I was desperate for release.

"Oh, Colton..."

He pressed my back on the blanket and pushed my knees apart, making me completely exposed to him.

I let out a sharp gasp as his mouth and tongue touched my center. He darted out, caressing my core with each gentle licking and suckling.

I felt this crazy, pleasurable sensation that totally overwhelmed me. He wolfed me down, drinking my juices and savoring each taste like I was the tastiest dish in the entire universe.

"Umm.... oh...," I whimpered as my fingers tightening in his hair. I let myself feel it all, closed my eyes, and leaned my head back. "I'm coming... Colton..."

With ease, he effortlessly lifted me up as if I weighed nothing more than a feather. The stone wall of the garden provided a sturdy support as he pressed me against it.

His kisses grew more fervent, his tongue daringly exploring the depths of my mouth, igniting a blazing desire. With my legs tightly wound around his waist, I could feel every movement of his body against mine, creating an electric connection.

He moved his hands up my thighs, lifting my dress as he pressed against me. We were going crazy, driven by a deep urge.

Colton's mouth moved from mine, giving me ardent kisses on my neck and collarbone.

"I want you," he murmured, his voice rough with desire.

"Then take me," I replied, my voice shaking with anticipation.

In one fluid motion, he unfastened his pants and responsibly put on a protection. I bit my lower lip as he entered me. A rush of pleasure and anticipation overwhelmed my senses. His manhood was impressively thick and large, stretching me to my limits.

Our movements flowed harmoniously, creating a rhythm that carried us to the brink. Once again, Colton's lips found mine, and our tongues danced in harmony as we both reached the pinnacle of ecstasy. As our release came, the world around us shattered, leaving only the overwhelming pleasure that consumed us.

In that moment, time seemed to stand still as our bodies pressed together, shivering and covered in a sheen of sweat. Colton's forehead pressed gently against mine, our breaths creating a misty cloud in the chilly night air.

"You're incredible," he whispered, his voice a gentle touch.

I grinned, my heart and body completely satisfied. "Same goes for you," I responded, lazily tracing patterns on his back.

The garden suddenly looked clearer, with the moonlight shining on us. I knew the night would be something special, pure magic and connection.

Colton gave me a sweet kiss on my forehead, promising more moments like that.

"Let's hang out for a bit. I wanna enjoy this moment," he whispered, tightening his arm around me.

"Yeah. Me too." I replied softly, knowing that for that moment, everything was perfect.

We had a conversation about when we first did it in college, and it was a breakthrough moment for us. Finally, after all these years, we could openly discuss it without hating each other.
