I ran as fast as my legs Could carry me jumping over one huddle and another.  I barely missed people and some times even cars too . The cops were hot on my heels "Stop right there " one of them pointed at me signalling for the others to catch me . They were hot on my heels and this time I  closely missed a  baby stroller . I reminded myself that if I get caught prison was my only place and no one was bailing me out not even Dean . 

The fear gave me boost of energy and with determination I started running as fast as I could.  The distance between me and police officers were increasing and just then the worst thing happened I didn't see the guy clad in black standing with his coffee I tried to avoid him but too bad the next thing I knew I hit him head first . We both were on the pavement he on top of me and his weight crushing me . "Get off me " I hissed at him and tried to push him  away but by then the cops has caught up to me.  "We are so sorry Mr Knight one of them bowed to him " the other one reached for me and roughly yanked me off the floor.  The guy known as Mr knight glared at me and then turned his focus to his coffee stained shirt . 

I fought against the bulky officer hold "let me go right now . You can't grab a women like this - this is unacceptable  you can't man handle me . " But he increased his hold on my upper arm clasping it so tightly enough to leave a bruise. He yanked on my arms I started thrashing around screaming at them . The people around us stopped moving and started stairing . But no one reached out to help me . 

Not even the blind guy intervened the officers clasp my hands behind my back and handcuffed them . Tears filled my eyes and for the first time in so many years I actually felt defeated I fall down on the rough pavement . My body unable to fight and i just surrendered to my possible destiny . The officers roughly yanked me off the pavement and for a second my eyes met Mr Knight eyes . Then I was pushed around and the contact was broken .The cops forced me in the car and I was taken to prison . Threatened to change into prisoner dress I was taken to my cell.

I wasn't a criminal just a common girl trying to survive and look what my survival instinct has done brought me to this hell hole . One of the bulky guy with tatoos and holster loaded with gun pushed me into my cell and closed the door on my face . I felt prisoned as if I was locked away from light forever I knew if I was convicted for possessing drugs no one could save me from here . I'll go crazy like many others . I sat in the corner and let my all emotions out . 

" Get up " one of them opened the door and dragged me by my arm . My thought was that I was going to be presented infront of the judge and he will punish me for my crime but the opposite happened I saw a man infact very handsome man  in elegant and expensive suits sitting on one of the chair  and tapping away on the table  . "Sir Miss Tamara Vieri is here ." The police officer announced. The guy stood up and straightened his dress coat then he reached out for me . 

His lips were pulled into a huge grin and I suspiciously  eyed his hand that have reached out for me but nevertheless took his hand in mine and he softly shaked my hand "Miss Tamara I am Liam Holden knight  . Nice to meet you ." He smiled warmly at me his smile was very contagious but I struggled not to smile in such a tense scenario . 

"I don't understand if you are a  judge then why don't you stop beating around the bush and throw me in prison for the crime that I  just did for my survival ". I glared at him and crossed my arms . His smiled dropped and for a minute or two his voice faltered "I am your lawyer Miss Tamara I'll be fighting by your side . "I don't understand do you know I am screwed and I don't have money to pay you for my case ." I sank on my knees unable to hold in my humiliation I really couldn't do anything in my defence and now even this guy knowing I was broke will leave me to deal with my mess . 

But he suprised me by saying "Oh no Miss Tamara the arrangements are done and I  don't need your money I am already paid to fight your case on your behalf all you have to do is show infront of the court . " I didn't believe him one bit but I agreed . My heart was beating as if I have been in a marathon I did as he told me and trust me he was very skilled . In no time I was free and walking out of the court  

"Thank you so much for everything " I told him as we were walking out of the court . "Thank you for what? "  he  asked me shrugging his shoulders . "For paying on my behalf , for defending me in the court and for bailing me out of the prison " He started laughing that velvety laugh of his ."No Tamara it wasn't me it was my cousin on whose behalf I came to save you from here ". 

My mouth was agape and I blinked in confusion. "Your cousin? " I asked .

"Dominic Roman Knight "
