Knock..

"Yes come in" the door cracked open.
Ooh it's you mom!

" Yes My Son, please come downstairs and have your supper" she uttered.

" Okay mom, I would be with you shortly" I said lazily.

" Okay, but please don't keep us waiting for long" she said before heading towards the door and closing it behind her.

I got up from the table and closed my laptop before heading downstairs, upon going down I heard mom and dad conversing upon seeing me they stopped.

"I cleared my throat as I continued, and what are my lovely parents talking about?if you wouldn't mind me asking".

"Aahm, well it is nothing for now, just sit and have your meal"

" Okay since you don't want to tell me let me just sit and eat quietly".

After eating my meal, I went back to my room and got dressed up to go to the masjid nearby  and prayed both magrib and Isha before returning back home to continue with the work I was doing with my laptop.

After I was done I went straight to bed.

I woke up to the call of fajr and went inside the bathroom and performed ablution and put on my zalabia before heading downstairs to meet my dad for us to go to the masjid together, he was already at the palour then we went and prayed after that I came back and decided to sleep small before it was day break.

I woke up at 8:00 am I quickly remembered I had a program to attend to, shit  I scoffed as I quickly got out of bed and walked towards the bathroom and took a quick shower before heading downstairs again, I went and my dad already left for work.

The dinning area was silent, my food was served already, I touched it and was still warm I think it was already heated some minutes ago.

I sat down and ate silently, was still eating when I heard my moms voice coming from upstairs, she decended towards me.

" Son I came to your room an hour ago but you were busy sleeping so I didn't want to disturb you, your breakfast even got cold I just heated it some minutes ago.

"Mom you should have woken me up, I overslept I have a program to attend this morning" I said in a guttural manner.

" How would I have known you had a program to attend, if you didn't inform me?" she said with her hands akimbo with a raised eyebrow.

I sighed as I continued " it's alright, let me just eat quickly, the program is set to begin at 10am you know this traffic thing it really sucks".

" Okay I would leave you to finish up" she said as she left to the kitchen.

" I quickly finished eating and went to place the dirty dishes at the kitchen sink, after that I headed towards my room to pick my cell phone and the necessary things I would be needing at the program after that I took my car keys and headed downstairs to inform Mom i was leaving".

Mom! I called out

" Yes my Son" she responded

" Mom I would be leaving now" I muttered.

" Okay son drive safely"

" I will and thank you" I said with a smile before walking out of the door.

" The traffic is really heavy as I had thought already, I continued till there was now way to pass through freely. I checked my time it was quarter past ten shit!! I'm already thirty minutes late, I quickly increase the speed of my car, in less than 10 minutes I was at the said location of the program thus "Modern City Hotel"  I drove inside and parked at the lot and alighted from the car while heading towards the conference room I quickly collided with someone making her bag to fall on the floor.

"I'm so sorry" I said as I bent down to help her park her things inside then raised my head up to the shock of my life..You!!
