Dex's POV

After, the meeting I pull my phone out of the pocket and I see a message on my phone. It says. You have a voice message.

I call voice mail on my phone and I listen to the message. "I'm at the hospital." Then the message ends.

I knew that was her.

I exit the hotel and make my way over to the limo. I climb inside. "Can you take me to the hospital?"

The driver takes me to the hospital.

At 4.30 pm, I enter Cedars Sanai hospital and I walk over to reception. A nurse looks up from the computer and she smiles. "Can I help you?"

I nod. "Uh, I'm here to see Ava Montgomery."

She types something on the computer. She looks up and says. "She's in the birthing suit."

She's having our daughter?

I follow the signs to the maternity ward. When I get to the ward I walk over to the receptionist and I ask. "Is Ava Montgomery here?"

She looks at the computer. "Yes, she's in room 4. Do you want to see her?"

I shake my head. "Can you see how she is for me? I can't go in there." I take a seat and pull out my phone. I start playing candy crush on my phone. I look up as I hear a woman scream from one of the birthing suit.

It sounded like Ava.

I rise and move toward the door. I stop outside room 4. I watch as Ava gives birth to our daughter. She falls back in the seat. I move away from the door as a nurse exits the room.

The nurse looks at me. "Do you want go inside?"

I shake my head. "I don't want that woman near my daughter again. I have full custody of the child now. She was just the birth Mom."

The nurse nods. "Yes, sir." She walks away from me.

I move over to the seat in the waiting room and pull out my cheque book. I write her a cheque for a billion dollars. I call my lawyer and tell him what's going on.

Half an hour later, I see the nurse exit with my daughter. I follow them to nic u. I stand in the room with them while clean my daughter up. When she's clean they wrap her in a blanket and I take her from the nurse. I hold her. "Hey, princess it's Daddy. You're the cutest baby I've ever seen. I kiss her head."

The nurse opens the capsule and I put my daughter inside.

I'm finally a Dad. I'm going to be the best one to my little princess.

The nurse looks at me. "Do you have a name for your daughter?"

I nod. "Yes, I want to name her Faith Megan Clarkson."

She writes the name on the chart. "Do you want the mother's name on the Birth Certificate?"

"No, it's fine without the mother's name. I don't want her to know about her mother."

She looks at me. "I'll file these ASAP. Thank you, Mr. Clarkson."

I look at my daughter. "I'm going to see your Mom, princess. I'll be back as soon as I've taken care of her." I exit the room and make my way to the room.

Ava looks at me when I enter the room.

I place the cheque on the table. I look at her. "You're not needed anymore, Ava. I hope you have a wonderful life." I exit the room without looking back at her.

It makes me sick to the stomach when I look at her.

She made her bed. Now, she can lie in it.

I walk back to nic u and spend the entire time near my daughter.

The next day I was told that the doctor's sent Ava home. They escorted her out of the hospital and she wasn't allowed to see our daughter.

I walk through the hospital and stop at a door when I see the guy that Ava was kissing yesterday.

He turns towards me. "Hey, I know you."

I enter the room and grab his jacket, "You kissed..." I cut myself off as I look at the bed and see...

Fuck! I really fucked up.

I blink a couple of times and the image of the woman in the bed doesn't change. "CHRISTA," I yell.

She laughs. "Yeah,"

I push over the IV machine that's hooked to Christa and she screams as the needle is pulled out of her arm. I move over to her and stand above her. "How could you?"

She smirks. "You're an asshole, Dex. Did you think that my sister would cheat on you? You screwed up so badly that she won't come back. I heard that you gave her cheque and told her to have a good life." she starts laughing. "I didn't think you'd be able to hurt her. I was wrong. My mission in life is complete. I destroyed the best thing that my sister had in life." she laughs again. She pulls the blanket back and looks at me. "I'm pregnant, Dex. You can't hurt me." she smirks. "I'm carrying your niece and nephew."

My family is royally screwed. Since, she's carrying a child.

"Damn it!" I yell walking out of the room. I pull my phone out of my pocket and call my brother.

Tyson: Hey, bro.

Me: You told me you got someone pregnant. You never told me it was Christa Montgomery.

Tyson: Does it matter that I left that piece of information out?

Me: Yes! That crazy bitch was making out with a guy and I thought it was Ava.

Tyson: Ava, would never do that. We all know she loves you. Besides, Christa and Ava don't look alike.

Me: Yes, they do. Christa's been wearing the same clothes at Ava. She even got her cut the same. I didn't know until today that Christa was in the hospital.

Tyson: Why are you at the hospital?

I scratch my neck. Me: Ava, gave birth last night. I forgot to call Mom. I have to go, Tyson. Mom's going to be pissed that I didn't call her.

Tyson: Where's Ava?

Me: Gone! I whisper.

Tyson starts swearing then he hangs up on me.

Looks like he's pissed at me for this. How am I going to make this right?

I move over to the wall and slide down it. I put my phone to my ear and call Mom.

Maybe, she can give me some advice.

Mom: Hello, Dex. I was expecting your call.

Me: What do you mean?

Mom: I heard your brother.

Me: I'm sorry, Mom.

She sighs. Mom: it's not me that you should be apologizing too. Find Ava and make everything right.

Me: I can't, Mom. I gave her one billion dollars and I told her to have a nice life. I also made sure that she can't have access to our daughter.

Mom: Don't call me until you've made things right with, Ava. Even if you can't make it right with her. Let her take your daughter. She's going to need a mother. Ava deserves happiness and you can't give that to her.

She's right. I don't deserve to be a father. I hope Ava shows up soon enough.
