"MATTHEUS BELLENZIER WAS LOOKING FOR BABY MAMA."

That was Benjamin, alias Boss Ben, first words to me as I entered his office in his mansion. I crossed my arms as I sat at the chair in front of Boss Ben's table. I don't know why he called me today, I just finished a mission. Don't tell me he will be assigning more missions to me?

"Who's that?" I asked him.

"Your new mission."

I rolled my eyes. "But I just finished a mission, Boss Ben."

He smirked at me and said. "What if I tell you that this mission is something connected to your family?" he said. That made me freeze on the spot. I felt like all the blood in my body went dry. "Your main target is his father, Maxim Bellenzier. He's a mafia lord and a known billionaire."

"You want me to apply to that stupid audition to get close to him, huh?" I told him.

Boss Ben shook his head. "Nah... You have two missions. They are none other than Maxim and Mattheus Bellenzier." His eyes went down to the papers on his hand. Then, he put it down and let me see it. "Mattheus Alain Bellenzier is a known billionaire too. He's a billionaire using his own money. His business kept on growing and there's nothing that could stop him. No wonder, his main competitor wanted him dead. He is such a threat, I guess."

I raised my left eyebrow. "So, his competitor is our client?"

He nodded. "Nikola Stankovic, a 59-year old man. He's a Serbian-American businessman."

Missions like this are not new to us. Business and Politics is very dirty, full of jealousy and greed. This is how our business survives—The business of assassins. We profit through those greedy bastards and their dirty desires. So, this is just another 'kill the rival' mission.

"How about Maxim Bellenzier? You told me that it's connected with my family..." I told him.

My family... They were killed. I live with only one thing that I desire, to avenge their death. To kill the people who took them away from me. I will make them pay no matter what! Even if my life was on the line.

Boss Ben nodded. "The client is private. He wanted him dead."

I looked at him intently. "Now, tell me how it is connected with my family?"

He tapped using his slender fingers the paper he put on his table. "Look at this, on page two and three. You could see information about Maxim Bellenzier and Evan Adams, your father." Boss Ben smirked at me and added, "It seemed like you know nothing about your father, Scarlet. Or should I call you Emiliana?"

"Explain it further to me Boss Ben." I took the papers and gripped tightly to it as I read the information on the papers. "W-What's the meaning of this?"

"Evan Adams was a loyal employee to Maxim Bellenzier. So, I suggest, it's better to capture him first and ask questions before you kill him." He shrugged and continued, "Maybe... Just maybe... You might find answers."

I stared at the papers for a moment. There was a moment of silence inside my head. I think that I might go crazy. How could I be so clueless about this all this time? How the hell I didn't have any idea about my father's whereabouts? This is making me lose my sanity! I want the answers to my questions. I want it to be answered so badly!

"So, what do you think about it?" Boss Ben asked me.

"What?"

The side of his lips raised. "Are you in for this mission?"

I stood up and took the papers. "Count me in. I'll do this mission." I rolled my eyes before I turned my back. "And please... Don't make it sound as if I have a choice. You know that I can't say no, right?"

Benjamin smirked. "Glad you're aware."

After our talk, I immediately left his office. I walked to the hallway and then I saw Moon. Moon is a woman assassin just like me. I don't know the real name of Moon, and that's the same for her. Moon is a close friend to me in this association, or it's safer to say that we're good co-workers.

Moon looked at me, curious and confused. "You're in a rush, Scarlet?"

Scarlet Lark.

Yes, that's my assassin name. That's the name that I always use when I am on a mission. Sometimes, I use Scarlet Oak too. I used different names, depending on the mission. Well, that's the life of assassins like me.

I nodded and responded to her. "Yep! I have a new mission."

"Wow! Your schedule is loaded," she commented. Then, she walked closer to me and tapped my shoulder. "Anyways, Goodluck to you..."

I smiled. "Yeah... Thanks."

Moon was about to leave, but then I pulled her arms to stop her. Something popped into my head. Then, I realized that I need Moon's help. She looked at me, confused why the heck I stopped her. Then, I said, "I need your help."

"My help? Is this about your mission?" she asked.

I nodded. "Yes..."

"Then, how can I help you?"

"Makeover."

Moon's face crumpled. Then, she blurted out, "What? What do you mean makeover?"

I cleared my throat and started. "I need this for my mission. I need to look extremely good. Can you help me?" I sighed deeply and added, "I don't know about stuff related to beauty. You know me, Moon. I am a workaholic and stuck with Boss Ben all the time. I don't have time for things like that."

"Okay, okay. I get it! I'll help you," she said.

"Really?"

She nodded. "I know people who can help you be the goddess that you want."

The next day, Moon brought me to a salon named Danis Salon. While I am at the salon, Moon shops for clothes for me. She told me that if there's something she's good at, it's shopping. So, I trusted her. Well, I don't have a choice because I don't even know how to match colors and all.

When Moon came back, she had a lot of paper bags from different boutiques and she even bought cosmetics for the makeup.

"Moon, your friend is effortlessly beautiful," Danis, the gay owner of the salon, said.

Moon smirked. "I know, right? Unfortunately, she's unaware of it..." Moon looked at me and gave me a nod. "So? Let's start doing your hair and makeup? Danis will help us," she added.

I smiled. "Let's go!"

Danis and Moon fixed my hair. They did a lot of process to me that I don't even understand. We spent more than two hours on my hair and makeup. Then, Moon told me to wear a sexy, fitted, and backless red dress. The dress was hugging my body tightly. Thank goodness and it fit me.

When I came out of the fitting room, I saw Danis and Moon mouth drop. I rolled my eyes. They are too overreacting!

"Girl, you're so gorgeous!" Moon reacted.

Danis nodded. "Your friend looks like a celebrity. Like... Jennifer Connelly."

I laughed. "That was too much praise."

After that, I bid goodbye to them. I looked at my phone to find the details of the 'audition' place. I shook my head as I sat in the driver's seat of my red Jaguar. Why the heck is he conducting this shitty audition? My goodness! He's a fucking billionaire. He can buy people. Is he this choosy?

I arrived at a luxurious property where they are conducting the audition. Thank goodness that I am just on time. When I walked inside the medium-sized luxurious building, there were men in suits that greeted me.

"One of the applicants?" one man asked. I saw his name tag and it said that his name is Luke. "I am Luke Harley, Mr. Bellenzier's assistant."

I gave him a nod and flashed a sweet smile. "Yes, I am one of the applicants."

He handed me a number tag as if I will be joining a pageantry. My god! This is just so absurd! If there's any other way... But there's none. It's my plan A, and my only goddamn plan.

Luke flashed a grin at me. "Welcome, Applicant 908."

I guess my mission begins now...
