Daniel's Parent's house----->

Daniel's POV

"Daniel? What happened? Are you fine baby?" Caroline asked bringing me out of my trance.

"Yeah babe. I'm fine.... aaaahh.. ummm.. Cara.." I was stuttering.

"Will you even say something after aaah and umm?" She asked me and then turned towards Cara, smiling at her "so I think my wish came true... you really are my son's girlfriend" she said.
It was Cara this time to have a shock.

Caroline's POV

"Will you even say something after aaah and umm?" The women asked Daniel and then turned towards me, with a huge smile "so I think my wish came true... you really are my son's girlfriend" she said.

I looked back at him accusingly. Oh god! This is how I met the mother of the man I lost my virginity to. Yuck! What did I just think? Weird and confusing!

"Aaah... yaa.... Cara meet my mother Darcy and Mom she's Caroline." He said awkwardly. It was really awkward.

"Oh I'm so happy. I know you never had a girlfriend before her. And all the girls you brought home were dripping with their bitchiness! Oh I'm so happy Daniel" she said and hugged me suddenly, choking me.

"Mom! Mom.. what are you doing?" Daniel came to save me. Thank God! But I really have to say she is one cheerful women.

"Oh I'm so sorry dear. I just could'nt control my excitement" she said and winked at me.

"Oh no no... it's alright. It's very nice meeting you Mrs...... ??" I said giving her a smile but stopped cause.... 'Why do I always forget his surname?' I scold myself!

"Rochester" Daniel reminded me.

"Aahh yes-" I was cut of by Mrs. Rochester.

"Oh no dear. I want you to call me Darcy. Mrs. Rochester is too old for me. Makes me feel old. You'll understand when you become one and people call you that" she said trying to hold her laugh. Making ne and Daniel choke on our saliva.

"That's it Mom. We have to leave." he said dismissing his Mom.

"No no wait!" She said holding on to my hand too tightly. "You never visit me Daniel..." she said making a sad face to which noone can say a no to.
And I was standing in between them moving my face from left to right, left to right.

"I will.. I've just been...... busy." He said.

She held a disappointed look at him and then turned to me. "Caroline...... we have a small dinner tonight. My son hardly visits me. I don't think he even remembers that he has a mother. I want you both to come for dinner tonight. And it's your responsibility to bring yourself and Daniel there. Alright!" She said sweetly with a glint of sadness in her voice. And Daniel just kept telling 'Mom! Mom! Mom!" While she was trying to convince me.

"MOM! That's a complete NO!" He said.

"Daniel! Your soo heartless! Does your Mom have to request her own son to visit her?!" I said to which he had no answer and looked around ignoring me with anger.

"It's alright Darcy. We'll be there at?" I asked.

"It's alright be there by 6 or 7. We'll have time to have a light conversation too.. we can get to know each other" she said, her voice filled with excitement.

"Yeah sure." I said

"Ok dear! Bye. I have to leave. Daniel's Dad is waiting for me...." she said in a sing-song voice and kissed me and Daniel on our cheeks and left.

Me and Daniel were sitting in his car. And this arrogant man was not speaking to me!
"Daniel your Mom was soo sweet. How could I say no to her?" I asked him trying to reason out.

"Who even asked you to open your mouth? That was my mother! I know what she is. She is soo conniving and I was actually trying to prevent that conversation from happening. But YOU!" His voice boomed inside the car at his last word.

"But Daniel..... She's your Mother. How could I-" and he cut me off! 'This happens a lot with me these days. He never allows me to speak!

"How what Caroline? 'How could you decline her offer'? Did you forget you're working for me? You did'nt have to be a happy family with her acting like my real girlfriend!" He said screaming again. But I just did'nt care. More than his voice, his words were burning my ears.

"You said yourself that if anyone asked I can say I'm you're girlfriend" I said so that he understands my point and my situation.

"Well, I think now I know IT WAS MY BIGGEST MISTAKE!" He said banging his hand on the steering wheel.

That's it! I did'nt reply anything. Neither did I shed a tear. From inside I wanted to throw things everywhere, at him! I can't cry for him. I've had enough. Even if I cry. Definitely not in front of him. My ex abusive boyfriend actually feels like a better option than him right now. He wasn't sooooo heartless like him!

I ran out of the car then again ran out of the elevator away from him.

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING NOW?" He asked and I stopped but did'nt turn around to look at him "Get ready! We have to be at my Parent's"

I then left to my other room. Thank god! I hadn't moved my things from this room. He apologised for his behaviour that day. No use! Does he even know the meaning of an apology? No! He only knows how to hurt. 'He does'nt even speak properly with his mom. What did you expect Caroline?'

It's still 3 and no lunch today as well. I pity my poor stomach. From the day I've been with him no sleep, no food!

Anyways! I took a long, comforting bath.. we have to be there at 6 or 7. And I don't know which time Daniel prefers.... if 6 then atleast by 5:30 I should be ready right? So I'm left with 1 hour 15minutes.....

I applied light make up that gives a natural look. Brown eyeliner. And a light pink gloss. I had on a cremish short dress. Not too short. Definitely not inappropriate. Its a bit above my knee and definitely covers my chest I thought and giggled to myself.

I opened the door and Daniel was nowhere to be seen. There was lunch on the kitchen table, completely untouched. And there were some cookies on the other side. By the looks of it, I just knew Daniel madd it himself.
Soon I heard the door open and Daniel was standing behind me.

"We did'nt have lunch, so I thought you'll be hungry. If you don't feel like having heavy food. You can have cookies. Your Mom was saying you never say no to them!" He said and not even for a second did I turn back and look at him. "What are you waiting for? Finish them soon. We have to leave soon, we are already late." He said with that guilt in his voice.

"I'm not hungry!" I said looking ahead of me.

"Cara... just have something?" He asked pleadingly.
Oh so now I'm Cara to him. Last time I was Caroline.

"Oh please call me Caroline, 'Mr.Rochester, you know.... Afterall I work for you." I mocked at him.
"I'll wait for you in the parking lot, you can join after you finish lunch if you want" I said.

Definitely he followed me to the elevator. "I made that all for you" he mumbled. But I heard it anyways.

"Oh really? I'm so sorry! But thanks anyways. You did'nt have to, your my BOSS. You made my day" every word coming out of me was dripping with sarcasm. I looked up to see him glaring at me. That's when I saw him. Sooo.... handsome. I'm sure I had that dreamy look in my eyes as though a hormonal teenager was looking at her crush.

He came near and was about to kiss me but thanks to the elevator doors! They close and open at the right.
'Really? Thanks? You would've enjoyed it anyways' my subconscious mocked at me. But I quickly got out.

1 hour journey? But this mansion was worth it. It was soooo pretty. So huge!
Daniel's mother was obviously being sweet. I did'nt bother looking at Daniel.
Darcy introduced me to her husband. He looked just like Daniel. Even from outside. That scary... intimidating look. But I soon got to know that he's a sweetheart from inside.

Darcy pulled me out to have a small talk and that "get to know each other" thing.
But one thing that caught my attention was when she said "I know that something happened between you and Daniel. I'm sure he would've said something very hurtful. He just does'nt think before speaking. But just know one thing dear. He does'nt mean them, he gets really blinded by his anger. He never brought a girl home. Just two of them. Three including you. But I was most shocked when he accepted that your his in the market, that your taken by him. He never even accepts anyone as his girlfriend. Except you. If he could even call you his girlfriend, then I think you should know it's like a big success. Just stay with him. He had a bad past-"

I was about to ask what 'bad past'? But we heard a commotion outside and soon went out to see.

There I saw... Daniel! Completely crushed to that.. that...

Darcy looked at me but did'nt think I'd have any idea about that.... But looking at my expression she got to know. She looked at me with guilt and sympathy! "I'm sorry dear. I did'nt know..... I wanted to tell you but.."

I felt like my body was knocked out of breath...... why oh why?!
