Daniel's POV

I just finished my lunch meeting and I'm now going back to my office only to see Cara and Sandra entering my office after finally roaming the entire building. And.....

And all the other men are staring at MY Cara!

I fasten my foot steps and reach them. I dismiss Sandra with a hand signal and pull Cara into my office by wrapping my hand around her waist.

She seems shocked! Not exactly shocked but she stiffened.

"Cara...." I say but she just replies with a hmm.

"What has gotten into you? Why are you so silent today huh?" I ask but I know the answer.

"No I'm not. Anyways I have to say, your building is so beautiful as well as the people here. I met Nick and your other friend Alex as well. They were a nice company" she said with a smile not reaching her eyes.

"You met Nick and Alex?" I question and push her away.

I could see the hurt on her face but she quickly masked it. Going back to her old self again.
Well, I don't care!

My secretary, Sandra rushes into my office. "Sir! You have a meeting in half an hour. I'm sorry but Ashlynn just informed me." She said.

"It's ok. I'll handle. You may leave."
She nodded and left soon.

"Listen! Sit here in my office. Dare you take a step outside! I'll be back soon. I don't think this meeting will take that long. So stay here don't move and then we can leave together." I said to Cara in my stern voice. She lowered her head and just nodded.

I know it has not been that good of a day for her. But I just could'nt control myself when I saw her blushing at Nick's comment today morning. And now my entire staff is openly oggling at her! Well I'm definitely not the type to apologise.

I looked at Cara for the last time and left my office room before I could get late.

I finally get up from the table. The only part I liked was the dinner coz every man around the table just did'nt have any particular valid reason to cancel the deal. Obviously they agreed to my terms at the end.

I go up to my office, Ashlynn is doing whatever crap she wants to do on her cell. I ask her to leave. I see the time is almost half past ten. I open my door......
Oh shit! CAROLINE! I forgot all about her. She slept peacefully on the couch.
I pick her up bridal style and she instantly wakes up.

"It's ok. Go back to sleep." I say softly.
And she does the same with her head and right hand on my chest.

I carry her to my car and settle her on my lap. I love holding her......

Caroline's POV

I can feel someone picking me up, I just open one eye to see who and where. It's Daniel and we are already inside the elevator to our penthouse.
Hmm I'm so tired, I have'nt eaten anything the entire day. I thought to myself and went back to sleep.

I wake up next to Daniel in the same room. It's 7 in the morning. My clothes are changed. Why did HE even bother? Oh I know why... pervert!

I'm hungry. Yesterday that asshole did'nt allow me to have breakfast. I mean obviously he spoiled my mood, my day! And then me and Sandra were still visiting all his floors and by the time we finished, lunch time was over as well. And dinner? I was already sleeping.

I thought to make some breakfast. But what if he screams at me again. I just thought I'll express my gratitude to him for providing me a job and a house. I'm never ever gonna cook for him. I did'nt taste it and that was my mistake. But I don't think it was as bad as he said it was.

Anyway, I don't care, I have to eat otherwise I'm gonna die.

I went into the kitchen and then my phone buzzed in my hand. Mom? I missed her.

I pick her call and say "yes mommy?"

And then I hear someone crying "hello, mom?"

"Carr, it's me Dylan" he said in his cute voice.

"Dylan? What happened? Why are you crying? Is mom fine?" I asked.

"I'm fine sweetie" I heard my mom say. I think it's on loudspeaker.

"I missed you Carr" he says.

"Awww.. I missed you too. But it has just been a day" I say.

"But still! I want to see you. Come back" he says.

"I can't do that but I promise I'll come and meet you soon ok. And we don't even stay that far right?"

"Ok. Come soon. I'll wait for you. Love you bye."

"I love you too. Bye" I say and the line goes dead. I turn around and jump back clutching my phone. There stands the Devil.

"Oh my God! You just scared me. Don't do that again" I say.

"Who was that?" He asks. Back to his arrogant self. As expected.

"None of your business" I said.

"None of my business huh? Lets talk business. So Caroline, you do remember that your work starts at 6 right? Its alreay 7. And you have to keep my coffe ready too." He said in a questioning tone.

"Yeah... but you were sleeping!" I said trying to defend myself. I hope he's not gonna fire me.

"So? I know I was sleeping. But what were you doing when I had already asssigned you work. Anything I do should'nt bother you, and your work should continue." He said and I nodded.

"Now what are you waiting for? Go get ready I'LL GET LATE COZ OF YOU" He sreamt and I ran to the other room. Without having my breakfast.

As usual, we are in his car, with that awkward silence. And as soon as we enter the building he is holding my waist as though he is claiming his reward. 'But you like it accept it' my subconscious says. Uff! I'm tired of her.

We enter his office room and he lets go of my waist. That hurt! And yesterday when he pushed me away....

"Go get me some coffee!" He ordered. So rude!

"Keep your things here and come back with my coffee" he said again.

I did'nt bring much. Just my handbag. I kept it there and got out of the room to get him coffee. I felt like my vision blurred for a second, I blinked it away. Thank god! I remember the way. His office is so confusing.

I keep his coffee on the table and looked at his face. He held a guilty expression. He wanted to to say something.

"You want anything else?" I asked.

"Uhhh... nooo" he said.

I muttered an "ok" and was about to leave coz I definitely can't stay in room with his brooding self.
Everything blurred. I could only see dark pink or purple and blue. I felt like I was flying or.... falling! I felt to hands catch me and that's all I remember!

Daniel's POV

Who was she speaking with?! I love you? I need to find out. She did'nt even tell me who. None of my business? I'll find out anyway.

I said her to keep all her things on the table and bring me coffee.
I took that time to check her bag for her phone. Yep! I got it!

I opened her call log and the only call was from her Mom. Others were all messages. And it's the exact time.
Oh shit! I scolded her for no reason.
Yeah... people do say I love you to their parents.

She came back with my coffee. I wanted to say sorry. But that's something that I never do. She even asked me if I wanted something. She knew I wanted to say something.

She muttered an 'ok' and was about to leave. But the way she moved.. I ran to catch her but she balanced herself and then I saw her holding her head and I know something is wrong. When I move forward she falls back into my arms, fitting perfectly. She just fainted in my arms!

I pick her up and rush to the hospital
But what's wrong with my Cara.......
