32 - a ruining
"What?"
"Hit me again."
"Are you kidding me?"
Adrien grabbed one of Muse's hands and lifted it to the space next to her cheek. Muse's hand felt small in her grip, but that had been one hell of a slap. Adrien let go, and Muse didn't lower her hand―it stayed hovering in the air by her face.
"Tell me what this is about, or hit me again, Muse."
Muse didn't move. Her hand remained poised in the air.
"I lied to you," Adrien said. "I inherit the Vitale Enterprises no matter what. I stood there earlier, and told you everything was okay. We didn't have to get married, and I knew that."
Muse took another step closer. She didn't even feel her hand moving, but she felt the resounding strike of her palm against Adrien's face. The clouds had disappeared entirely; moonlight bathed them both, illuminating the faint mark left behind on Adrien's skin.
"Go on," Adrien said. "I fucked up. I know I did. I shouldn't have lied to you. I just . . . wasn't ready to lose you."
Muse hit her again.
"Ready to lose me?" Breathless.
"I know you're in this for the money, but I . . ."
"Fuck the money, Adrien. You lied to me."
"I'm sorry, Muse." Adrien's voice was deep, her breath soft in the air between them. She looked so striking―the sharp lines of her face, her body. The tuxedo she'd worn for the wedding was disheveled, the sleeves unbuttoned and the lapels uneven. The jacket had been pushed open to reveal the white dress shirt underneath, unbuttoned enough that Muse could see a smooth sliver of her chest. Her eyes glittered black like the ocean beside them, her hair pushed back from her face.
Muse's wife, who had lied to her. Who had betrayed her.
"I hate you, Adrien Vitale," Muse whispered against Adrien's lips.
Adrien only stood there, wordless. Beautiful, so beautiful, even when she was guilty. It infuriated Muse even more. A low hum pulsed in her veins, like her blood had been replaced with gasoline. She felt as if she could catch on fire, and burn and burn and burn.
She didn't know who reached for the other first. She only felt the collision of their kiss, the warmth of Adrien's mouth against hers.
"Fuck me," Muse said, barely louder than the soft crash of the waves against the shore.
Adrien let out a low moan, and Muse dug her fingers into her neck. She tasted so sweet. Their kiss turned harder, faster. Full of hot, desperate need. Adrien bunched the fabric of Muse's silky wedding dress against her hip, exposing her inner thighs. Muse's heart pounded so loud she could hear nothing else but the sound of Adrien's heavy breathing.
She barely registered as they hit the sand. Adrien parted her legs with one hand. Muse hoped to God there was nobody else on the beach.
"I've wanted to do to you since the moment I saw you," Adrien said. She kissed beneath Muse's jaw, the column of her throat. The hemline of her dress, right above her breasts.
Muse whimpered. Her hand curled into a fist, the soft white sand slipping between her fingers, as Adrien's mouth traveled lower. To her belly button, the crease of her thighs. She lifted her hips, incapable of stopping the soft, breathless moans from escaping her.
"You sound so fucking needy," Adrien said, a dark smile in her voice. Her fingers gently caressed the bare skin of her legs, where she'd pushed Muse's dress aside.
Muse moaned.
Adrien kissed her inner thighs, softly―too softly. Muse felt as if she really would catch fire. Her hips rocked back and forth against the air.
"Use your words," Adrien murmured between her legs. The soft warmth of her breath made Muse ache. She lifted her hips again, desperate to feel Adrien's mouth against her.
Muse shook her head, whimpering.
"You're so stubborn, Muse."
"I fucking hate you," Muse gasped, as Adrien's tongue gently traced her once, and then disappeared. Teasing her.
"Use your fucking words, baby."
The word baby broke her. Muse closed her eyes and whispered, "Please."
"What was that?"
"Please. Please, Adrien."
Muse felt Adrien smirk. Her mouth was so close to her skin, but not quite touching her. Pure torture. "One more time, baby."
Muse felt barely herself as she moaned, "Please fuck me, Adrien. Please."
The first lick of Adrien's tongue on her had her seeing stars. Her head rolled back. The soft sound of the waves, and the music from the party in the distance vanished. She could only focus on the feel of Adrien against her, licking her as if she'd been waiting her whole life to do it. She gripped Muse's thighs, holding her in place as she squirmed.
Adrien's eyes met Muse's, pinning her in place with that dark stare. She continued licking without breaking eye contact. Muse felt her moans become higher, more breathless. She gripped one of Adrien's arms, feeling her bicep flex beneath the sleeve of her suit. Holding her in place as she came.
"Fuck," Muse said, shuddering. Adrien didn't stop licking, and her eyes rolled back, her head falling onto the sand. "Fuck, fuck, fuck."
"I told you I would make you beg for me," Adrien whispered, her head still buried between Muse's legs. And then she slid a finger inside her.
Muse's legs started shaking. Adrien slid a second finger inside of her, fucking her with her tongue at the same time. Muse lost the ability to form thought entirely. She came again with a gasp, and Adrien's other hand tightened around her thigh. Forcing her to stay in place as she came again, and again, and again.
She felt her whole body shaking, her legs wrapped around Adrien's head.
"Fuck, Adrien," Muse said, the sound so raw she didn't even recognize her own voice.
"God, you taste so fucking good."
Both Adrien's tongue and the feeling of her deep inside Muse was too much. She felt herself beginning to come again, the moans escaping her so fast she could barely breathe.
"Adrien! Muse!"
A shout from the other side of the beach. Muse lifted her head, some of her senses returning to her through the haze. The silhouette was too far away to have seen them yet. It looked and sounded like Adrien's friend, Ezra.
"Adrien―?" she said between moans, panicked, but Adrien kept fucking her roughly, as if she hadn't heard.
"Don't worry, baby," she said. "But I need you to be quiet for me."
Muse nodded. She didn't have it in her to speak anymore, not as Adrien's tongue and her fingers kept moving. Adrien didn't look away from her, not even as she fucked her harder, deeper. Muse's mouth opened, but she tried not to let any sound leave her―a silent scream, as she came against Adrien's face so hard her entire body convulsed.
"Muse! Adrien!"
Adrien pulled down the hem of Muse's dress, back to her mid-thighs, and gently lifted Muse to her feet.
"There you are," said Ezra, his silhouette expanding as he drew closer. Muse could finally see him clearly now, even in the dim moonlight. And, it seemed, he could see her clearly as well, because he said, "What the hell have you two been doing out here?"
"Talking," said Adrien.
"Wrestling," said Muse at the same time.
Adrien glanced at Muse. "We were, um, wrestling to settle our argument."
"Whatever. You idiots are both covered in sand. Dust yourselves off and come cut the cake."
"I thought I told you to do it without us if we weren't back yet," Adrien said.
"Yeah, you told me that. But then Grey Hansen very loudly, and publicly, started asking if the two lovebirds were alright, and wondering if there might be trouble in paradise already."
"Jesus," said Adrien, pushing strands of dark hair back from her face with one hand.
The thought of Adrien's fingers made Muse ache again. She could still feel the wetness between her legs. Fuck, she was so furious with Adrien, and they had just―
"Grey also very loudly declared that he wants postcards from your honeymoon," Ezra added.
"Honeymoon?" Muse squeaked.
"Adrien planned a week long honeymoon in Hawaii for you guys," Ezra said. "It was a surprise."
He looked back and forth between Adrien and Muse. Maybe he noticed the murderous look on Muse's face, because he started backing up towards the direction of the party. Towards the light, and the music, and the people dancing.
"Cake time," he repeated. "Adrien, try not to look like someone just killed your puppy with a fire poker. And, Muse?"
"Yeah?"
"Please stop looking like you want to kill Adrien in cold blood, alright?"
Muse didn't look at Adrien as she replied, "I'll do my best."
