"Alright, it will be the parents of the bride, the parents of the groom- followed by the MOH, the Best man together since they are married, then the bridesmaids- Nabaahat with Waarith, Nafaasat with Aarib and Humaira with Shaheer- Shumar and Aariz will be at the front- all clear?" asked Saleha one last time and everyone nodded

The MOH was wearing a gown which was white and had specs of spring colors in the form of glasswork 

The bridesmaids were all donned in beautiful blue, peach and purple colors with white in them as a common color 

Everyone looked happy and excited for the most awaited wedding 

Ruqayyah and Iqraam shared a secret smile which clearly showed that they had things to their secrecy and that their trust on each other was strong 

Nafaasat stood beside Waarith who could not help but admire her 

One of a kind, he had muttered under his breath 

Nabaahat on the other hand was happy that this wedding was finally taking place while Aarib was not exactly happy because with the wedding, his trip to SA would come to an end meaning no more seeing Nabaahat 

The guests took seats and everyone talked to each other and mingled like every other party 

The DJ finally slowed the song and anounced for everyone to take their places as the Waalimah was about to begin 

once everyone was settled, Saleha, who was clad in her beautiful long salwar and pants with hijab called out to the family to take places 

once done, the music cued and slowly everyone walked down the red carpet like practiced so many times before 

Ibrahim and Fatima walked out first with huge smiles on their faces followed by Loriza and Edris mirroring the same excited expression 

Then, Ruqayyah and Iqraam, hand in hand, walked down the red carpet with smiling faces, except instead of smiling to the guests, they were smiling at each other. Nevertheless their expression showed love for each other

Nafaasat and Waarith walked out next, smiling at the guests and Nafaasat trying hard to walk in heels to which Waarith laughed at 

Nabaahat and Aarib walked out with shy smiles and low whispering to each other. Anyone seeing them would know that they were madly crazy for each other even though they hate to admit it 

THe last of the adults to enter were Humaira and Shaheer. Humaira beamed at her husband who smiled right back. Everything between them was full of love and love only 

The little kids were next. Zahi wore a blue fairy dress (After much persuasion from Iqra) while Sohayll and Zaik wore black suits. Zahi walked in the middle and the boys at the sides, a little back so they acted as her bodyguards. Zahi took her role of the 'warrior' of the bride too seriously! 

Each girl to walk down the carpet wore a flower crown made out of live flowers like that of a princess

Last were the married couple themselves 

Shumayll gave Iqra one kiss on the cheek and a huge grin 

"Relax, we got this" he said and she nodded gulping slightly 

Slowly she took one step and then they walked out of the room into the open grounds 

The bride's long dress went down till the grounds and then train of the dress was on the ground behind her as she walked. Her dress was a dress specially designed for her spring wedding. The colors of blue, purple, pink, yellow and green outlined the dresses sides with netting like material while the rest of the dress remained white. The colored material was in layers from the left hip moving diognally down to the right front while going straight down. It reflected that she was indeed a person with colors 

Everyone around them were in awe of Iqraar Edris for she was a girl who always wore dark brooding colors such as black and dark blue. Never had anyone imagined she would look this beautiful in colors itself. 

Of course the look was completed with her hijab and a flower crown that was like a queen's crown

Shumayll only complimented his wife's looks by looking oh-so-dashing himself

The couple also, out of the blue, decided to wear black and white converse to complete the look of theirs 

When Iqra walked down the paving road to the main stage, her dress held up a little so she could walk, people noticed that she was wearing sneakers and everyone smiled 

the girl was still Iqra, it was confirmed! 

The ceremony started with the Imaam speaking about Nikah and Walimah in Islam and then were the briefest introductions to Iqraar and Shumayll's life 

Iqraam did for the both of them because he was very important to both 

Once that was done, the imaam concluded the ceremony with dua 

Afte dua and blessings from everyone, sweets and refreshments were given out and then everyone began taking pictures and enjoying the nice cool weather 

Daadi mah had no choice but agree to their pair because, well because she had no other choice. Not like if she said she did not like it, the pair will be broken, no so it was no use of her to be against this wedding. At All

"Ready?" Shumayll asked Iqra who smiled widely 

of couse she was 

"Guys a little longer before you two ditch this place with the rest!" said Loriza smiling at them and Shumayll blushed causing Iqra to laugh

"God why is this so embarassing!?!" whined Shumayll and as if Iqraam heard him in his head, he walked to his best friend and sister at the stage 

"Whats up?" he asked them and Shumayll nodded to his mother 

"oh thats up- no need to know" stated Iqraam and Shumayll laughed 

The two stood there in bored expression as their wives, aka Ruqayyah and Iqra, talked to guests who came up 

"Can't we like ditch this place or something?" questioned Iqraam and Shumayll groaned

"Mama said no" he muttered, rubbing his head 

"Uhuh- let me ask" with that Iqraam took off to ask the parents if they could leave since many of the guests were leaving 

The ceremony was after Zuhr and it was almost Asr now 

Once the parents agreed, the girls and the boys, all walked out of the grounds to the house 

The mini cars from Iqraam's firm were there to take them to the gates of the house 

"It was fun!" laughed Iqra and everyone gave her weird looks 

everyone except Iqraam and Shumayll who knew she was high from chocolate cake 

"She ate chocolate, didn't she?" Ruqayyah asked and the two boys nodded

"I thought i specifically told you two to make sure she doesn't overdose on sugar!" muttered Ruqayyah and the boys laughed 

"Leave it, high Iqra is fun Iqra" muttered Shumayll and Iqraam hit his head

Shumayll hit back and soon the two boys were dwelling on the floor of the living room 

The first thing Ruqayyah did was to change into some normal abhaya and niqab before walking painfully slowly down the stairs to her husband 

"You should change before they leave" she said and Iqraam nodded before walking away 

Iqra called for Ruqayyah who then helped her out of her wedding dress

"You looked marvelous today" said Ruqayyah and Iqra smiled 

"Did i?" she asked and Ruqayyah smiled slightly 

"Bhabhi-" she said and Ruqayyah looked at her from the mirror 

"Promise me that if something ever happens, you will always tell me? Allow me to be by your side like you are by mine?" she asked and Ruqayyah gulped down the saliva and forced a smile

"Of course i would- if not you, who else?" she winked and Iqra relaxed

The two chatted as Iqra changed into a long salwar and legging and hijab 

Meanwhile the boys conversed in Waarith's room about anything and everything as they too changed

"God can someone tell me why love has to be so confusing?" questioned Waarith and everyone turned to him, including Iqraam who had already changed 

poor Shumayll was still stuck with his tux since Ruqayyah was helping Iqra out of her wedding clothes

"Love? Already love her?" questioned Aarib and Waarith sighed

"I don't know! At times i feel like i wanna kill her but then again if i do i will be the one crying- just yesterday i was thinking of telling mom that i found the one for me- but then i stopped thinking she would kill me before i even propose to her!" he babbled and everyone stared at him 

"You tell Fua yet?" asked Shumayll and Waarith shook his head, wearing his tees over his vest 

"You told her yet?" asked Namaan who had just walked out of the bathroom with only jeans 

"No" he stated and everyone groaned

"Go tell her first- if it backfires we have your backs and please don't wear pink or purple- she hates them" said Namaan, yanking a shirt over his body 

"You okay with it?" asked Iqraam and Namaan nodded

"Know this dude for a short time now but hes good- i know my sister can kick asses if she wants to" he said and everyone agreed 

"What about you?" everyone turned to Aarib when the question was thrown in by Iqraam 

Aarib stayed silent 

Allah knows how much he tried 

She just....... was not interested he guessed 

"I told her-"he said and everyones eyes went wide

"And?"

"She told me to never speak of such things again. She said she likes me but as a friend and no more- she needs time and space and frankly speaking, i think she deserves better. Even though i don't know her that well, i know someone will treat her better than me" he said, looking dejected 

Nabaahat practically rejected him!

The boys went around Aarib and gave him words of encouragement and man hugs as if he has just lost an important part of his life which he, technically, did lose 

That night, everyone opted to stay over at the Edris mansion, everyone except Ruqayyah and Iqraam. Fatima insisted that the kids stay with her there because with Iqra and Shumayll gone for their honeymoon in Maldives, the house was so silent 

Iqraam changed into some sweats and tees before Ruqayyah went to shower 

Within a second or so, he heard his wife's whimpers in agony 

He ran into the bathroom, knowing it was unlocked when his eyes went wide with fear 

Blood was surrounding Ruqayyah as she set on the tiles of the bathroom, tears flowing down her cheeks and she held her stomach 

"M-my b-b-baby" she sobbed and immediately Iqraam took her in his arms, his tears too escaping 

they stayed in the position, Ruqayyah's half body on his lap, her head buried in his chest and his hand running through her hair to soothe her 

after a while, he tenderly picked her up, discarded her robe and bathed her like a little baby 

After shower, he dressed her in one of this tees and let her on the bed, with a comfortable blanket on her. All the while soothing her that it was alright 

After her, he cleaned up the whole bathroom that was clad in blood and then showered himself. 

He then called the gynec to check up on Ruqayyah 

The lady doctor checked up on Ruqayyah and then told Iqraam to get her to the clinic for some tests before she is claimed to be clear 

once the doctor left, Iqraam closed the whole house and stood at the door of his room 

he knew that he would see Ruqayyah and he would see the pain in her eyes and he would too cry because they just lost a child

He wiped away involuntary tears and opened the door of his room 

closing it behind him, he walked towards the bed and silently got in 

Ruqayyah faced the other side of the bed, not acknowleding his presence 

"You alright?" he all but whispered in a hoarse voice 

She sniffed but did not answer 

He pulled her to him and rubbed his hands on her stomach 

"Its alright, you know" he chocked out the words 

"O-our fir-first child" she muttered, snuggling into his arms 

she found home in it, she found love and she found her life in his arms 

"Shhh..... its alright, go sleep my queen" he whispered soothingly again and again as she cried in his arms 

she should have known by all the abnormal pain in her stomach 

They were not planning on telling anyone until the wedding was over 

Ruqayyah was 5 weeks pregnant 

They sighed in solitude, as they thought of their uncertain future 

but Allah knows best, right?
