SHUMAYLL 

A week, a week since we are married and I am proud to say, Iqra and I are making progress 

No, she is not yet marked as mine but oh well, good things take patience 

"What the he-" i say as i see Iqra smiling at her phone 

"No thats not how you take a selfie!" i said, taking away her phone 

"Shumayll!!" she whined and i laughed 

"I love you!" i smiled and held up her phone 

she stood behind me growling at me 

"Please?" i asked her, from the selfie camera and she sighed

"Fine" she muttered and stood behind me 

Before i took the photo, i abruptly turned around and gave hre lips a quick kiss 

her soft lips moulded to mine and tingles and sparks flew all around my body, giving me heat 

before i could deepen the kiss, she pulled away 

"Happy?" I asked her and she grinned at me, her cheeks painted faint pink 

"Very!" she winked and i groaned

"Iqra!" I whined and she laughed

"Selfie?" she questioned and i nodded

I turned to the camera, smiling as Iqra stood behind me, her head on my shoulder and arms around me 

I clicked the picture perfect photo 

She stuck her tongue out at me and i took that photo too 

We played about with the photos until i got a call 

"Hello, Shumayll Edris speaking" i said holding up two fingers to Iqra indicating i will be back in 2 minutes 

she nodded at me before walking out of the bedroom to the living room to watch TV 

"Ah finally, Shumayll Edris, how are you?" a female voice asked me 

"Good, good, may i know who i am speaking to?" i questioned walking out of the room into the huge open balcony 

"Edreena Raymound" she replied 

"Ma'am, i am sorry but i don't recall knowing you, if you have any appointments with me, please speak with my PA" i said 

"No no, dearest, no" she said laughing 

"Who are you?" i questioned 

"Pity your father never told you about me. And here i thought he would at least have the courtesy to tell you!" she said and my brows furrowed 

"What?" i questioned

"Let me make a deal here, Mr. Edris, Give me an hour of your time and i will explain it all to you" she bargained

"half an hour" i said and she laughed

"It will not be enough" she replied

"You are right, 15 minutes and thats my final offer" i said and she laughed

"Ever so like your father" she replied 

"Edris tech Centre, Conference hall at 4pm sharp today" i said and she chuckled

"Alright" she replied "-Looking forward to seeing you" 

"Same" i replied before hanging up 

who was she and what did she want? 

I turned and walked into the room, my mind still going back to the woman 

"What happened?" Iqra instantaneously asked and i sighed

"Nothing, just work" i lied through my teeth 

i hated lying to my Fluffy but i could not help it 

"Uh huh" she replied and i sighed running my hand through my hair 

"Nothing!" i said and she sighed, without pressing the issue 

She held out her hand and i looked down at her 

"Waht?" i asked her 

"Come on" she said urging her hand up 

I shook my head slightly as i put my hand in hers 

we walked downstairs and she let my hand go before sprinting into the kitchen to talk to mom and bhabhi 

"Alright" said Iqra, emerging from the kitchen, clinging to her right hand was Sohayll smiling at me 

"We are going to Maccahs!!!" she squealed and Sohayll gave his famous laughter 

"We?" i questioned and she grinned

"Your treat" she replied and i ran my hand through my hair 

where did i find such a wife who asks for food half the time? 

"Fine, come on" i said grinning as i hoisted up Sohayll in my arms 

Maccah's (McDonalds) was full and once we were out the drive thru, i drove back home 

"Why home?!!" whined Sohayll and i laughed

"where do you want to go then?" i asked him 

"Swings!!" he said excitedly 

"Backyard" i replied grinning at him and he whined more 

"Shumayll! Stop irritating the little kid! Sohayll, we will go shopping soon" she said and Sohayll made a face 

"Nooooooooooooo" he cried out loud and i on the cue, began my hysterical laughter 

"Fine!!" replied Iqra and Sohayll quieted down 

the whole car ride was this way 

Iqra comments and waits for Sohayll's reaction 

at times, when i catch a glimpse of what she is doing, i find it adorable to see her playing around with Sohayll 

made me wander aboutmy own kids 

would i ever have one to play around with?

"Shumayll?" questioned Iqra and i snapped out of my trance 

"What?" i questioned her 

"You missed our junction!" she scolded and i sighed, running my hand through my hair 

what was wrong with me today!?!

I did a u turned form the nearest roundabout and drove back home 

I parked the car and asked the two to get off so that i can park it in the garage 

the woman's voice rang in my head like a replay song

who was she and why did she deem herself to be so important in my life?

I paced the high tech garage up and down as i tried to think if i knew that woman 

"Why so pace-y?" asked Stan and i grinned 

i did do something good in my childhood days 

"Stan, find out all you can about Edreena Raymound" i said and he nodded

"Right on it, but may i say something?" he asked and i nodded 

I was too busy in my own problems to even address his but anyways 

"I think your father had a folder on her name as well as a bank statement, now all i need to do is find that statement, it must be in the deleted recycle ones" he said and i looked up to him 

"Fine it! I need to know all i can about her ASAP" i said and he nodded before dissapprearing 

well, i used to scold Stan for keeping the deleted Recycling things but oh well, it helped today 

i walked into the house and straight to dad's study 

Knocking and entering once i heard the 'come in', i strode into his study greeting him 

He was seated behind the huge mahogany desk, doing some paperwork 

"What is it?" he asked me as soon as he replied to my greeting 

he knows me too well 

"Dad, i had a call from this lady today" i said and he nodded, gesturing me to take a seat 

"And the problem?" he questioned 

"Her name is Edreena Raymound, she says she knows you" I replied and i swear, i saw color drain off his face 

"Edreena Raymond? she called you?" He questioned and i nodded 

"What did she want?" he questioned me again 

"Meeting with me" i replied 

"No" he said almost immediately 

"What? why not? I am already meeting her at 4" i replied, checking the time 

it was half past 3 now 

"No Shumayll, you don't understand, you don't need to meet her, she is not at all important!" he replied and i sighed 

'Sorry abba but i am meeting her, i gave her my word" i said and he sighed, running his hand through his hair 

"Shumayll" he warned and by that time i was on my feet 

'well abba, its high time i meet this Edreena lady" i said and before he could even call me, i yelled my goodbyes and sprinted out of the study 

oh Allah, what am i into!?! 

I told Iqra that i will be back in another hour or so before i headed out 

i also met mom as usual 

"Be careful" she muttered like always and then i was out 

i drove to work and went straight into the conference hall, telling Tina to send any woman named Edreena Raymound up to the hall 

"Shumayll you there?' asked Stan and i nodded at him 

he was on my phone  

"I found her folders" he said 

"and?" i questioned impatiently 

"-And you will not like what i found" he replied 

"Stan, no time, show me the folder!" i said and after a moment of hesitation, Stan nodded and opened the folders 

hitting the photos, i opened them
