Everytime i close my eyes, i see your name with mine!

IQRA 

When i woke up from my afternoon sleep, the first thing i noticed was a white and blue sticky note on the table 

I read it to know that Shumayll was gone and won't be here for the night 

that guy!

Could have at least stayed for my birthday.......... 

my whole fam had called and wished me 

bhai and bhabhi were the first though coz bhabhi called early in the morning after Shumayll went to work to ask about me and wish me happy returns for the day 

she said they won't be able to make it today due to bhai's tight schedule but will try 

I set on my bed with the note and then decided to call Shumayll 

even my calls were unanswered by him 

what the hell was wrong!?!

"Are you alright, Iqra?" asked Huma didi walking into the bedroom and i smiled at her 

"Yeah- its fine" i replied looking back at my phone, hoping for even a message 

"No its not fine, what happened?" she questioned me and i sighed 

"Its Shumayll- he is not answering the phone and he left me a damned note only!" i explained to her and she smiled at me 

taking a seat beside me, she began her explanations 

"Iqra, you see Shumayll and Shaheer could not be more alike- they do things they have never done before without thinking of the consequences but thats what makes them different! he must be busy or something" she said and i sighed again

"Maybe" i muttered 

she chuckled and side hugged me 

"So the birthday girl misses her hubby already?" she said and i chuckled

"Its funny being called a birthday girl" i replied

it really was 

bhai used to call me that on my birthdays as a kid 

"Anyways- get up!! go shower and pray Magrib- after that, get ready, i will leave the dresses on the couch, chose one and get dressed by 7:30pm, we are going out!!!" she squealed everything out in one breath 

"Are abba and mom going to be there?" i questioned her 

"Uh they said they are all late- we can have a get together with Ruqayyah and them tomorrow coz thats the day everyone is free!" she explained again and i nodded

"Alrighty then, hush ush! get showered and pray!! and get ready!!" she said pushing me 

i laughed before getting up to close the door behind her 

locking the door, i headed for a shower 

after showering, i got dressed in a 'kurta' and pants before heading to the prayer hall 

after Magrib with Huma didi, i went back to my room to get dressed 

She had told me that the dresses were in my room and that bhai and her were giving me a dinner treat 

There were two dresses there, one was maroon long length with black coat and hijab and there was another one which was a black dress with white and blue floral coat pairted with blue hijab and black heels 

it was perfect 

I smiled and then my smile fell 

Shumayll was not going to be there to see me in this dress 

what is the point? 

I shook my head and then stood up 

walking into my closet, i changed into the dress and leggings before walking out and getting ready 

I put on his cologne, coz i can and then put my hair up in a messy bun so that my hijab can set perfectly 

I then wore my coat and then my hijab in the simplest way i knew 

i did not need my specs as it is only for reading purposes but meh 

I took my blue and white floral clutch and put my phone, head phones and some tissues in it before taking my shoes and walking downstairs after switching off the light 

which reminds me, i did not see Stan anywhere................... hmmmmmmmmm

"Bhabhi?" i called out 

Huma didi emerged from the kitchen with a smug look on her face 

"Uhuh, now i am bhabhi from didi?" she questioned and i chuckled

"Nope- will forever be didi, happy?" i asked her and she nodded smiling at me 

"You look great!" she said and i chuckled

"Not bad yourself!" i winked and she laughed

"We should get going, where in the name of Allah is Shaheer!?!" she reprimanded and i laughed 

"I am here, you two look great, lets leave!" he said and i chuckled when Huma didi hit his shoulder 

"Anyways, lets leave" she said and then we walked to his SUV 

damn this people owned one too many cars!

I browsed through my instagram feed looking through various things as we drove to some unknown destination 

Bhai parked the car and we got off 

"Iqra, you walk inside, Shaheer and i have some things to take care off" she said and i gave her a skeptical look 

she sighed and then smirked

"Oh you know those..........." she said winking and i groaned

"TMI- i am inside" i said and began walking towards the steps 

the hotel was huge! It read 'Reewaz Hotels' and it had two stories i think 

i walked inside and a lady attendent immediately attended to me 

"Good Evening ma'am, Ms. Iqra?" she questioned and i nodded 

"Alright, Mr. Shaheer had told me about you, please follow me to the first floor upstairs" she said and i nodded 

i could not help but notice that this place was sorta creepy as every person around me turned to me 

like hell bro, get a life!

Shaking my head, i followed the lady attendent up the stairs to the first floor 

the huge oak doors were closed and she smiled at me before opening them 

the whole floor was dimly lit and no one was around 

what? 

I walked inside and then out of no where, everyone screamed 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' and the lights brightened 

All i saw was Shumayll standing infront of me with a huge smile on his face 

My eyes widened and instinctively i pulled him in a huge hug, ignoring everyone and everything around me 

"I know you missed me" he whispered as he hugged me back 

"Alright people, we also exist!" bhai ruined the perfect moment and earned a slap from bhabhi coz he ruined it 

"Oww, i was getting impatient!" he whined and bhabhi chuckled 

Shumayll let me out of his embrace but kept a firm grip around my waist but when bhai pulled me in a bear hug, he had to let go 

"Happy Birthday Kitkat!!!" he said as he squeezed the life outta me 

"Bhai- thanks- i am dieing!" i managed to wheeze out and he let me lose 

bhabhi hugged me after him and wished me happy birthday 

My parents and then Riza aunt and uncle wished me and then slowly everyone else 

basically all i heard was alot of happy birthday's together 

After the whole wishing me thing, there was a cake cutting ceremony where i cut the cake and the first bite as always, went to bhai 

then slowly everyone else 

I was happy, beyond happy for this moment and in every step, i said Alhamdulillah for everything i have 

Soon i was showered with gifts 

surprising that Shumayll did not give me one 

The lights grew dim and Shumayll stood infront of me with a huge grin 

"You will love me forever right?" he asked me and i smiled back at him 

"Any doubts?" i questioned back grinning and he chuckled 

in a split second, he was infront of me, on his knees with his eyes gazing into mine as he held up a black velvet box 

"Never had i imagined you with me but meh, two weirdos are better than one! Marry me?" he said and my eyes began watering as i laughed 

"Two weirdos? Really? Yes! Yes i will marry you Mr. Weirdo!" i said and he laughed before slipping in the ring on my finger 

i stared at him and he gazed back 

like nothing mattered 

and in that moment, i realized, that indeed two weirdos are better than one!
