When he asked me to trust him, i did 

I was out shopping with bhabhi and Zahi when ammi called bhabhi and asked her to return home immediately 

Both of us were surprised at the hastiness of mom's voice but we shrugged and dismissed it 

I got in the car, placed everything in the trunk and helped Zahi into the seat as bhabhi searched for the car keys 

she got in the driver seat and i got in the passenger seat 

the guards took their places in their jeeps, one infront and one at the back and drove our, with us in between them, driving home 

The sudden bodyguard issue was bought up by bhai when Alex happened. Although Alex did not rape me, he managed to shake my emotional and spiritual side very badly and since then, its bhai's orders that everyone in the family must have 4 bodyguards and the house is even surrounded with many 

I tried calling Shumayll but he would cut the call immediately 

unlike him 

what was going on? 

I messaged him but he gave me a seen status with no reply 

rude much? 

We got off at the front door and the valet took the car to the garage 

the maids took the shopping bags and asked us to head to the living room 

Zahi was taken upstairs and bhabhi walked ahead to me into the living room 

We walked into the living room 

Riza aunt, uncle, Shaheer bhai, Huma didi and Shumayll were the only people there along with ammi, abba and Nabaahat 

"As salaam" bhabhi and i said together and everyone muttered their reply 

"So-!" said abba, clasping his hand "-everyone is here, what is it that you wanted to share Edris?" 

uncle and aunt turned to each other and smiled knowingly 

where was this going?

"Ibrahim, I know that you don't know our family that well, but Fatima sister knows us very well- she also knows that any girl in my family is like our daughter" said Edris uncle and my heart skipped a beat 

oh no 

Huma didi gave me a small smile and bhabhi squeezed my hand 

"Where is this going Edris?" asked abba and Riza aunt smiled 

"Fati, you know how much i love your daughters, and how hard i have been looking to find the perfect match for Shumayll-" said Riza aunt, holding Shumayll's hand 

if i was not a mess, i would have smirked at Shumayll for blushing so hard 

"Riza, are you suggesting that........" asked ammi and Riza aunt nodded 

"Yes, Yes Fati, I think its an amazing idea for the two to get married- i mean they know each other well and maybe this is the best choice?" said Aunt and ammi smiled, almost to tears 

abba seemed to be thinking about something 

He stood up and smiled at Edris uncle 

"Consider this an official relationship!" said abba as he hugged Edris uncle 

ammi hugged Riza aunt and everyone was happy 

Everyone turned to Nabaahat and then me 

which one? 

My heart hammered in my chest as Riza aunt stood up and walked towards us 

she hugged Nabaahat and i closed my eyes, pushing back the tears 

maybe it was meant to happen?

She whispered something in her ear and Nabaahat smiled, before breaking into full laughter 

Riza aunt left her and turned to me 

she held my shoulders and grinned 

"And Iqra my most beautiful daughter- well daughter-in-law" she winked and my heart stopped 

what? 

she turned to everyone and grinned, never been happier

"This is my beloved and most beautiful daughter-in-law!!!" she said, holding my shoulders and my eyes went wide 

oh my Allah 

"Iqraar Safaawat Ibrahim is my proud daughter-in-law!" she said everyone burst into cheers, even Nabaahat 

I looked at Shumayll and he shrugged giving me a "I-Told-You-So" look 

I smiled as Huma didi hugged me tight and bhabhi joined her 

I coughed and they let me go 

"Soooooo happy!!" they squealed 

I blushed 

"Alright people, give her some space" said Riza aunt smiling at me 

I smiled back 

Soon everyone was on the way to hug me 

from ammi, abba and last one was bhai 

he held me for more then a minute or so 

I swear i could have cried 

"B-bhai" i muttered and he chuckled letting me go 

"One wrong move and you are dead" he told Shumayll and both laughed 

"Its a deal bro" replied Shumayll and i chuckled

"So when is the nikah?" asked Shaheer bhai out of no where 

i shrugged and Shumayll chuckled

"No hes right-" supported bhai and i internally groaned 

why so hasty? 

"Why so hasty?" asked Shumayll and everyone laughed 

"Brother dearest, you are in no hurry to marry her?" asked Shaheer bhai and abba and Edris uncle coughed causing everyone to shut up on the topic 

"Okay so lets decide on the nikah?" asked abba and Shumayll's parents nodded, all hyped up 

"How about coming Friday? like it happened for Iqraam? at the mosque?" asked Riza aunt and everyone turned to Shumayll and I 

"Uhh.......... " i muttered and turned to Shumayll 

"Cool with it" he replied and i nodded 

"Alright, so its set then- 3 days from now" said Riza aunt excitedly 

Riza aunt gave me a huge bear hug and i could not stop smiling 

"I am so glad for this day!!" she squealed and ammi joined her 

"Alright people, shall we leave?" asked Edris uncle and Riza aunt sighed sadly 

"But i want to spend time with her" she whined and Shumayll chuckled

"Mom, she is coming into our family in 3 days!" said Shaheer bhai 

"But- But still!" she muttered and Huma didi hugged her 

"mama, chill! We will go shopping with her tomorrow anyways!" said Huma didi and i raised my eyebrows 

They had it all planned!

"Alright! Acha, I will see you all tomorrow!" said Aunt as she hugged ammi and Nabz 

She kissed my forehead 

"Welcome to the Edris family" she whispered in my ear as she hugged me 

I smiled

"I will see you tomorrow for shopping!" she said excitedly "Allah Hafiz!" 

with that his family was gone 

i set on the couch staring off in space 

"Excited?" asked Nabz and i turned to her 

"Nabaahat- I am so so sorry" I muttered, embarrassed over the fact that i was getting married to the guy she liked 

"Why sorry honey?" she questioned and i shrugged

"Aww Iqra!!! I love you and there is nothing wrong with you marrying him! I may have liked him but it was just another crush, he talked to me and we came to a mutual understanding that we were good as friends, he said i won't be able to survive with him" she said and i chuckled

"So no, no need to be sorry! CONGRATULATIONS!!!" she squealed, tackling me into a bear hug 

I laughed and hugged her back 

After that i walked to my room and my phone vibrated with a message 

I opened it and saw it was from Shumayll 

"Told you to trust me" he messaged

I smiled and was replying when a pair of hands grabbed my waist 

"So how are you feeling?" asked Bhabhi and i grinned

"Good?" i replied as a question and she laughed hugging me tight 

We set on the bed and she was all bubbly 

"I am so hyper for this wedding!!!" she almost yelled 

I flinched 

"Alright Tiger, calm down- first things first- did you know they were coming to ask for this?" i asked her and she gave me a sheepish grin 

are you serious!?!!

"Shollliiii!! But i love you and i did not want to ruin the surprise" she said and i sighed

"Alright" I smiled from ear to ear at her 

"Now tell me, how long did you two talk last night?" she asked me and i shook my head 

we did not talk 

"We didn't" i replied, blushing slightly 

"Uhuh" she said and on the cue, my phone rang 

i turned to see Shumayll calling 

"Uhuh" she smirked and grabbed my phone 

"Bhabhi- give it back please!?!!" I whined 

she shook her head as Bhai entered the room 

"Bhai tell her to give my phone please!!" I entreated to him 

he turned to bhabhi and they seemed to talk in signals 

was that even possible?!!

"Alright Ruqayyah, why are you holding up the poor girls phone?" he asked her and i smirked at bhabhi 

"Yeah give me my phone!!" I whined and she laughed

"Answer the call Ruqayyah!" said bhai and i turned to him wide eyed 

"Oh no- bhabhi nai!!" i said as i ran towards her 

too late 

she answered the call 

"As salaam, fluffy!" said Shumayll and Bhai looked at me with amused eyes 

"Was salaam!" replied Bhabhi and I squeezed my eyes shut 

"Where is Iqraam?" he asked 

why was he asking about bhai?

"He is.................. somewhere?" stated bhabhi looking at bhai who smirked

"Uhuh- did he tell Ruqayyah bhabhi that yet?" he asked her 

Bhabhi turned to bhai and bhai shrugged

"Fluffy! Answer me!" he said 

"uh no" she said 

"Uhuh, i was planning on telling bhabhi myself but Iqraam said he wanted to do it- i wander whats taking him so long- i mean he said he would- its pretty important that he does-" Shumayll began ranting and Bhabhi looked in distraught

She turned to bhai and Bhai was wide eyed 

"I don't know whats he yapping about!" said bhai and Bhabhi sighed

"Shumayll what is it that Iqraam was suppose to tell me?" she asked 

"No Fluffy, Iqraam was suppose to tell bhabhi not you" he replied

"Shumayll, it is Ruqayyah" said bhabhi and Shumayll went silent before bursting into fits of laughter 

"What?" asked bhabhi 

"See bhabhi, i knew it was you so i may have played around?" he stated and bhabhi sighed

"I should have known! Shumayll!!" she whined "-Now i have to say sorry to Iqraam" she added 

I chuckled holding out my hand 

She grinned and placed the phone on my palm 

"Keep him" she winked before walking out of my room, following bhai 

"As salaam" he said and i smiled, shutting the door 

"Was salaam, how are you?" i asked him 

"Alhamdulillah, you?" 

"Same, except alittle happier?" 

He laughed

"I told you to trust me nah?" he said

"Yeah, thank you" 

"Now that you will be mine in three days, i can finally say you are mine?" he asked 

"Yes, apparently yes" 

"Damn it girl, i love you too much!" 

"Awwww, I love you heaps!" 

"Which reminds me, i will not be in country from tomorrow" he said 

"Why?" i was disappointed 

"Because i have a meeting to attend in Dubai, its only a two day thing- i will be back on Friday morning" he said 

"On the day of the nikah?" 

"Yes but i can't help it- you were the one who said work must not interfere with love" 

I chuckled

"Indeed- anyways- what time is your flight?" 

"8am" 

"Meet me before you leave??"

"Your wish is my command, mi lady" 

I laughed 

we talked abit more until Asr 

after Asr, i said my Istikhara prayers and hoped for the best
