A Nightmare

Bright eyes,

Don't lie,

Is it you whom I see in the dark?

Tell me I'm not alone,

That I'm not on my own

The street lights have gone out,

I'm as blind as a bat and all I see is you creeping around

Wake up! Wake up!

I shriek to myself,

Jerking out of my slumber

I wake up in bed while covered in sweat,

Was it all just in my head?
