I was the first to wake- Wait. No, I wasn't. Who is that? I saw a girl with hair like fire and eyes like the ocean. She was BEAUTIFUL- 'Hiccup. No. No. No. No love. You don't even know her. She could be a demon for all you know.'
Then I heard Toothless' voice in my head 'She doesn't look like one or smell like one.'
'But you never know.'
'Hic, I know you like her. Just go and say hi.'
'Toothless, you know how I am with girls.'
'You're right, it took you like 3 years to ask out Astrid, and after that you stopped the engagement.'
'You don't have to bring that up again.'
'Just go say hi or I will fly you over there and make you fall on top of her.'
'You wouldn't do that.'
Before I knew it, I was being lifted up by Toothless.
'ALRIGHT, I'll say hi. Jeez.'
After that argument Toothless and I had, she turned around and I got lost in her eyes. Toothless slapped me with his tail to snap me out of it.
"Hi. I'm...um...Hiccup. What's your name?" I stuttered.
"I'm Merida." She said cheerfully
She was the only person I've met that hasn't laughed at my name, and she had the voice of an angel with a Scottish accent.
'NO LOVE.'
'Come on, Hic.'
'No, Toothless.'
'Ok, but you're gonna beat yourself up about it.'
I know Toothless is right about it. But I am going to get to know her better first.
"Umm... Hiccup, why are ye staring at me?"
Ugh. 'Toothless, you could've told me I was staring. Or slapped me with your tail'
'I know I could've, but I know what she is thinking, because of this power I have. I'll let you find that out her secret on your own. Do what you did to train me. Earn her trust, and when she trusts you more, then you can be friends, and if you tell her, maybe you two can be more than friends.'
'I can't believe this, but I am actually going to take advice from a dragon. Thanks Bud.'
'Anytime Hiccup, anytime.'
"Umm... So, Mer, whe-"
"What did you just call me?"
"Mer. I thought a cute girl lik- I...I... mean a..a... girl like you sh...should have a cute nickname like that." Dang it. I stuttered and I called her cute in the same sentence. Why can't I be more like Snotlout, and not get nervous around girls?
'Hic, Be yourself. Everyone else is taken'
I heard Toothless' voice in the back of my head.
"So as I was saying, Mer, what area of Scotland are you from?"
"How did you know Ayem from Scotland?"
"Ahh... your accent kinda gives it away."
"Oh yeah...right... Ayem Princess of DunBroch. But by the way, if ye call me princess or treat me like one, Aye will put an arrow through yer head. Got that?"
"Y-yes."
"Good. Now where are you from?"
"I'm the chief of Berk, my dad died saving me from Toothless who was being controlled by a guy named Drago Bludvist. And Toothless here is the alpha dragon now. And I too don't like to be treated like a royalty, nor does Toothless. Right bud?" He shook his head.
"Well, Hic, did ye... by any chance... get talked to by the man in the moon?" She asked.
"No," I replied, but I was curious on what she was talking about. "Why? Did he talk to you?" I asked with curiosity.
"Yes. He talked about you three, and told me that we are the big four. He said her name is Rapunzel. His name is Jack Frost. (But I call him snowman.) And that your name is Hiccup. He said that we all have powers. You can control earth and you can shapeshift into any animal and you can speak to them. Rapunzel can control plants and wind. Snowman over there can control ice and snow," She said.
I didn't know I could control earth. I bet Punzie didn't know that she could control plants and wind.
"Well, I knew I could speak and turn into animals. I've been having conversations with Toothless over there. I didn't know I could control earth, though." I started to raise my hands and all of a sudden, outside a giant mountain was appearing.
"You are also the Guardian of Autumn. I am the Guardian of Summer and Rapunzel is the Guardian of Spring. Snowman is winter."
Wow, we are all guardians.
"We need to find our centers. And we need to help each other defeat Pitch Black. He has brought Mor'du, Mother Gothel, and Drago Bludvist and the Bewilderbeast back from the dead," She said.
'Oh, no. Drago is back'
'Don't worry, Hic, we have defeated them once. We can do it again.'
'Thanks, Toothless.'
"Alright. We need to wake the other two up and tell them all of this" I said. I stood up and tripped over my prosthetic leg. The next thing I knew knew was on top of Merida.
"Um... I-I'm sorry... I-I didn't mean to... stupid leg..." I stuttered. I felt my cheeks heat up. Darn it! I stuttered and now I'm blushing.
"It's ok. I know ye didn't mean to. Are ye blushing?"
Darn it, she noticed! "Umm... maybeeee... is that a bad thing?"
"No, its just ye stuttered earlier and said Aye was cute and now ye are on top of me stuttering like mad and blushing. Do ye like me?" She said.
"I... no... maybe... possibly... what w-would you do if I say yes?" I stuttered. Darn, why do I keep doing that?
"Aye would say Aye sorta... kinda... maybe... like you too..." She said.
I smiled. 'Toothless, was that her secret?'
He nodded. I'm so happy.
"Well then, yes. I do like you." I say with a smile.
"Well I kinda like you too." She was smiling.
I realized I was still on top of her. I got off of her, and as soon as she got up, she said, "Do you want to... I don't know, go to the river and catch some fish to eat?"
I nodded.
She got her bow and quiver that was full of arrows and we walked to the river. She was good at archery. She hit every fish she aimed at.
"Wow, you're good" I tell her.
"Thanks!" She said with a smile.
I tripped again and I fell into the river. She jumped in after me, and we splashed around for a while until we were cold, then we got out.
As soon as we had caught enough fish, I got some wood and Merida lit it on fire. We cooked the fish and Mer was shivering.
I scooted closer and put my arm around her shoulders. She put her head down on my shoulder. She got up to get her bow and a knife and we went back to the way were sitting before. I saw her carve something on her bow.
It had to do with the seasons. The sun, a leaf, a flower, and a snowflake. The sun and leaf had a heart around it.
I smiled and kissed her on the cheek. She blushed. Her face was as red as her hair. I chuckled at how red her face was. We heard something behind us. We looked back and saw Jack with his arm around Punzie. Jack started talking. "Well, what happened when we were sleeping?" "What happened when we were getting breakfast?" I said to him. "I asked you first." "Alright Merida and I confessed that we like eachother. Your turn." "The same happened to us." Well... now that we all got that out of our system... "Hey Mer, do u want to tell them what is going on?" I asked. She started explaining. When she was done we all started looking at eachother. "I know what we have to do." Jack said. As he said that he took out a snow globe whispered something and threw it. A portal appeared. "We need to go through. And u can bring toothless too." He said. We all walked through and we ended up somewhere very cold.
