Rapunzel

"Welcome to the 100th Hunger Games!", Toothiana shouted into the microphone.  "This is the 4th Quarter Quell, which means there 4 tributes this year until 25 years come again! First, 2 boys." she walked over to the bowl of names. She fished out 2 of them and came back to the microphone.

She opened the first one and said "Jackson Overland Frost."

A boy with snow white hair and electrifying blue eyes was forced up to the stand from the crowd of boys. This wasn't just any boy though. This was one of my best friends, who lost his younger sister because of these stupid games. I feared that he would've gotten picked. He should've stayed out of trouble like he was supposed to.

Toothiana opened the other one and said "Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III."

He was one of my other best friends. The scrawny brown-haired boy with green eyes dragged himself from the group and onto the stage. "And, now the girls." She once again fished out 2 names from a bowl and walked back to the microphone.

She opened one and said "Merida DunBroch"

A frizzy red-haired girl with turquoise-blue eyes emerged from the crowd and came to the stage. She was the last of my best friends.

Toothiana opened the last piece of paper in her hand and read "Rapunzel Corona."

Oh my god, that's my name. I began to feel the stinging of tears in my eyes but, I cant show them my tears. I have to be brave like Merida. The long blonde-haired, green-eyed, me, walked out of the crowd of girls and onto the stage with my friends.

"Say hello to District 12's tributes!", Toothiana shouted. The crowd clapped and then they all kissed 3 of their fingers and held them up into the air. They were wishing us goodbye.

I can't believe I have to fight to the death with my best friends.

48 go in, and only 2 come out. I held hands with my friends to the crowd. My tears were overflowing.

"Punzie, stop squeezing my hand so hard.", Jack said.

I didn't even realize that I was, I was too busy of thinking of just how afraid I am.

"Punzie, you're shaking.", he said. I was truly afraid.

"I'm afraid Jack. I don't want us to end this way, our friendship.", I said as my tears fell upon my shoes.

"I wouldn't fight you, even if I have to. We'll get through this together. You, me, the furious hairball, and Hic are the ones coming out of this. Not anyone else.", he said.

"Promise? Pinkie swear me if you promise.", I commanded.

"Promise.", he agreed.

We have been pinkie swearing since we were kids. It was the only way to tell if he was actually promising me something, without lying.

"Come along, children! We have a train to catch!", Toothiana said. We're going to meet our instructors now, the ones who defied the capital and got away with it almost 26 years ago.

I can't wait to meet them.
