Okay fine.

Earlier today, my friend Mindy came by on her bike, and she delivered the most epic party invitation ever.

Since I presume that you read the title of the chapter, you might have an idea about what this invitation was like, but I'm going to describe it in full detail.

Basically, Mindy gave me a Hogwarts letter. 

And let me tell you, I was fangirling so hard when I opened that letter. It was all of my childhood dreams come true. Sure, it was just an invitation to a sleepover, but it had everything.

THE ENVELOPE:

I'm not going to put in a picture, because it has my real name and address on it, but this is what it said, basically:

Miss M. Nightwing

  The second smallest bedroom,

      555 Random Rd.

         Somecity, Someprovince

And when you flip it over, there was a real wax seal. 

A FREAKING WAX SEAL.

How cool is that?

THE CONTENTS:

So, in the envelope, there were 4 pieces of paper in the envelope. The first one just said the date, time and place of the sleepover. Standard stuff.

But then there was a ticket for platform 9 3/4.

Way cool.

The next piece of paper was folded up, and you could see the Hogwarts crest on it. I unfolded it, and this is what it said:

Dear Miss Mya Nightwing,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equiptment, if you cannot aquire them, we will have equipment available for rental at the school when you arrive. School uniform is not mandatory, but failure to adhere to it may result in mockery.

Term begins 8 July, and we await your owl by no later than 7 July.

The final paper is, of course. the list of stuff to pack. 

UNIFORM

First years will require:

1. One change of muggle clothing

2. One pair of pajamas

3. Optional: One set of plain wizard robes and/or choose your favorite Harry Potter character to dress as

OTHER EQUIPMENT

1 sleeping bag

Anything else needed for an overnight stay

Optional: a wand

Students may also bring, if they desire, an owl OR a cat OR a toad

PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICK

I made a few other preparations, too.

I drew out a Hufflepuff crest on a peice of paper, cut it out, and stuck it onto a badge. I plan on wearing it.

I didn't have an owl OR a cat Or a toad, so I packed a small stuffed beaver toy I got at Niagara Falls two years ago.

I also taped a small message to the back of a small portable mirror: 

erised stra ehru oyt onecaf ruoy whosi (I show your face not your heart's desire)

I'll give an account of the sleepover once it's happened. I've already packed, even though it doesn't start until Saturday.

I wish it was Saturday already...
