Chapter 2

A/N: just a quick warning, there is drug use and reference in this chapter, so if that makes you uncomfortable, skip this, and I apologize if it's a touchy subject for anyone..

I run my hand back through my hair in frustration, as I try to concentrate on my work. I take a deep breath, before I begin typing furiously on my laptop once again. Finding the Vipers wasn't actually as easy as I'd thought it would be, though I know i can do it. I'm a decent hacker, but this assignment is giving me some trouble. It would help though if some of the other members weren't in the lounge being so damn irritating. This particular group are friends of my brother's. By the way they were acting now, you'd never guess they were in the mafia, let alone grown ass men.

"Ay princesa ! What ya doin'?" my brother's friend Raf calls out, looking my way.

I roll my eyes at him."Working. Unlike you idiots." I answer, smirking at him. The group starts laughing at this, and continue to horse around.

"Aw come on. Take a little break eh?" Raf adds, looking my way again. I stop my typing and glare at the group of boys.

"I've got shit to do Raf, stop being such a pendejo, and let me work." I snap, glaring at the group, a challenge in my eyes.

He snorts."Alright. Shit, who pissed in your cereal?"

"Shut it."I growl, before he can say anything else. I go back to my search, getting closer. They must have someone good they use to cover their tracks, but lucky for me, they left little traces behind. Nothing major, and unless you knew what to look for, it would be easy to miss.

"Hey Felicia, want some?" Raf calls out interrupting again. I sigh in annoyance, as I turn to see what he's talking about. I see lines of white powder on the table, and one of the other boys rolling a dollar bill, before putting the rolled bill up to his nose. He leans down, blocking one nostril with his finger, and snorting the powder through the rolled bill into his other nostril.

I roll my eyes at him, as I try to control my anger at the idiotic offer. "No. You know I don't mess with la coca." I snap, glaring at him. "That shit ain't no joke, you idiots shouldn't mess with it either, let alone bring it here. What the fuck were you thinking!" I lecture, disgusted with them.

They shrug at me, not really listening. I turn back to my computer. It never used to be like this, with drugs all over the place in the office, and members using, and most likely selling. My father never would have put up with this shit. Yes he was a mobster, but he had standards. He knew there was money in the drug business, but never participated in that, preferring to sell guns and information instead.

Most wouldn't believe that the mob would have morals, but you have to draw the line somewhere, and that's the line Papa never crossed. He was a mob boss with standards, and morals, he was a decent man, despite his work. He would have never put up with half the shit Alejandro has pulled since taking over. Alejandro took a once respected mafia gang, and is ruining it. He's making money, but with ways I don't agree with.

Papa also didn't kill needlessly, unless he absolutely had to. There have been many times lately, where Alejo takes shit too far, shooting people instead of trying to solve it another way. Like what he did with Isa. I'll never forgive him for that.

I finally find what I'm looking for, the Vipers. I find them in Chinatown, Manhattan, not that far from the lower east side. I sigh in relief, the hardest part of the job over. The rest should be fairly simple, picking a day to go, and picking a small group to take with me. I pack up my laptop, and slinging my bag over my shoulder, go to tell Alejo that I've found it.

I walk in, meeting his gaze. "Found them. Give me a day to two to plan it out, and let me pick a team to take in."I say coolly, trying to be nonchalant about it. Trying to pretend it doesn't bother me that he's sending me to kill someone. Even though he might deserve it, based on what I've heard. I've gotten good at masking what I really feel around him, a cold mask I automatically slip on in his presence.

He nods in approval, giving me a sly smile, that doesn't quite reach his cold eyes. "I knew you could find it."

"Yea well, you're friends were trying to distract me. You need to say something to them, they brought fucking cocaine in here."I chide softly, looking at him.

He nods. "Okay. You may have a point. You can go home for the day if you like." he offers, dismissing me for the day, and I quickly get out of there. I hop on my bike, taking the long more scenic route to my apartment, enjoying the wind blowing in my face, and feeling free for just a little bit. Something freeing about riding a motorcycle, closest thing to flying you can get, at least on the ground.

I pull into my parking spot, and head inside, dropping my bag on my bed as I go off in search for something to eat, before I turn in for the night.

Two days later, I gather my team outside of the Vipers office, preparing them to go in."Okay, if you shoot, aim to wound, not kill. We're here for their leader, no one else. So remember that, even if they get hostile."I tell them, giving them my best glare, to let them know I mean business, and they better follow orders.

They all nod."Yes boss." I smile, and signal for them to follow me.

We go in, and start to make our way through the building, but something isn't right. It feels off to me, and it shouldn't be this easy. We should have run across someone by now. I turn to my group."Something is off, be on your guard."I warn, as we get ready to go towards their main lounge in the building.

I draw my gun, as we enter the room. Shocked, with the discovery that another group has appeared to have beaten us to it, holding the Vipers at gun point. "What the fuck?" I mutter, keeping my gun up, as I walk forward, wondering what the hell is going on, or more like who else is picking a fight with the Vipers.

There's a large group of men in black, surrounding the Vipers and their leader, along with a group of five men, that seem to be in charge of the men surrounding the Vipers. Which exact one is in charge i couldn't say, but by the looks of it, they are another mafia group.

I walk closer, gun still drawn as I try to find out whats going on. One of the five men spots me, and announce my groups arrival.. shit.

"Hey Sor, we've got company." One of the men says, looking at me. He has long brown hair, that grazes his shoulders, with light brown eyes. Dressed in a dress shirt and trousers, and sporting a fedora.

The other four men turn, looking surprised, clearly not expecting me to be here. I have to admit, they are an attractive group, but I still keep my gun raised. One of them steps away, his gun drawn, and aiming at me. He's tall, handsome, wearing a grey suit. He has his black hair slicked back, and glares at me with his fierce blue-grey eyes. "Who are you, and what business do you have here?" he says coldly, gun still drawn.

I smirk at him, not lowering my gun."I could ask you the same." I answer.

"Did she just mouth off to Sor? Holy shit." one of the guys exclaims, a surprised look on his face. His hair is a brownish orange, that messily falls around his face, near his amber eyes. He's dressed more casually then the rest, with jeans, and a blue and white shirt, that reveals a plain white shirt underneath it.

"I'm only going to ask one more time woman, what business do you have here?" he asks, meeting my gaze.

I sigh. Though I don't want to tell him anything, I also don't want to cause an unnecessary fight, especially considering we came for the Viper leader, not this group. "I was ordered to take out the leader of the Vipers."I admit, nodding towards the man they have surrounded. "What about you?" I add, looking once again at the man in front of me.

He gives me an sly smirk."I had business with the leader of the Vipers as well." he answers. "Who are you though? I don't recognize your group. Though I admit maybe I haven't been keeping up with the New York mafia gangs as much."he adds, raising an eyebrow at me.

"Los Lobos ring a bell with you?"I ask, looking at him, as I try to place the face in front of me with a name and group. He sounds foreign, so I might not have heard of him.

He nods."It's been a long time, but yes, I've heard that name before. How about you, The Ice Dragons?" he asks, meeting me gaze.

I nod."It's been awhile, but you're out of Hong Kong right? Or at least the main branch is there."

"Yes. So since our goals are the same here right now, is a temporary truce alright?" he asks, raising an eyebrow at me.

I nod."Yes. Alright boys, put your guns down." I order, as I lower my own.

The mobster from the Ice dragons lowers his gun as well, as he walks towards me. I meet him half way, extending my hand in greeting. He looks at me puzzled for a moment, before shaking it. "I'm Soryu Oh. I lead one of the branches of the ice dragons." he says, introducing himself.

"Long way from Japan aren't ya? I'm Felicia Hernandez." I say, looking at him curiously.

He nods."Well, we had some business to attend to here in New York...Hernandez...that's the name of the family that runs Los Lobos." he says, narrowing his eyes at me.

I nod."Yes it is. My brother took over after our father passed... why?" i ask, raising an eyebrow at him, wondering where the hell he's going with this.

"They send their princess out on assassination missions?" he asks looking shocked.

I shrug."They do when she's second in command. I work just as hard as everyone else in my group, and I can handle myself just fine. I don't need to be locked away under protection.. that would be ridiculous." I scoff, rolling my eyes at him.

"Well... you guys must run things differently than I do, that's all."he answers, shrugging it off.

"Anyway, whose the rest of your group over there. Those four don't look like mafia. Hell, I think one's a fucking cop." I add, gesturing to the four men behind him.

He gives me a half smile, the left corner of his mouth raising up, as he turns towards them.

"These are my associates. Mitsunari Baba, Ota Kisaki, Eisuke Ichinomiya, and Mamoru Kishi." he says, pointing to each as he introduces them. So Baba is the one with the fedora, and Ota had the tousled brownish orange hair, I think, as I take a closer look at the last two.Eisuke is tall and handsome, with an air of confidence about him, his slightly shaggy brown hair just barely touching his cold brown eyes. He wears a unbuttoned dress shirt, and black plants. The man next to him screams cop, with his loosened tie, and grey suit. His blackish grey hair is shaggy, and wavy, falling across his light grey eyes. A cig hangs from his mouth, and he looks bored as hell.

I nod at them, before returning my attention back to Soryu."So why the fuck did you bring a cop with for underground business?" I ask, genuinely curious, as I point right at Mamoru.

Soryu chuckles slightly."He won't say anything, and is slightly useful for clean up purposes, when he's not being his normal lazy useless self."

His group starts laughing, except for the cop, who scowls, as he continues to puff on his cigarette. "Way to blow my cover. Thanks Sor."he says sarcastically.

I laugh."What cover? You scream cop." I say, still laughing.

He raises an eyebrow at me."Damn kid..." he mutters, loud enough for me to hear.

I smirk."Who the fuck you callin' a kid old man?" their group burst into laughter, as his mouth hangs open, and his cigarette falls out of his mouth.
