Chapter Nineteen: We're Going To Hogwarts (Percy)
"What's with the Pegasus?" Nico asked.
"It appeared when I waved my wand," I replied.
"I don't think that's ever happened before," Hagrid said.
"That's what Olivander said," I replied. "It's definitely the wand for me though. Plus, I can talk to them with my brain." I pointed to my head.
"Okay," Hagrid said. "Percy, would yeh like ter help me with my class? Yeh could talk to the horses and help out."
"Of course, Hagrid," I said. "I'd love to."
We walked into a shop that was filled with books.
I discovered that I actually did like to read, I just didn't because of my dyslexia. So I had started reading books written in Greek and now I know that books are awesome.
"Can we get these books in Greek?" I asked the guy at the counter, holding out my list.
"Of course, sir," the man said. "Just wait here." He walked into the back of the shop and came back with two of each book. "Here."
"Thanks," I said, taking them. "I'll hold your books, Nico."
"That will be fifteen Galleons," the man said. I gave him the money.
We walked out of the shop.
We walked into the robe shop.
As I got my robes fitted, a boy walked in the shop.
It was Draco.
He saw me and ran out of the store as fast as he could.
The rest of the shopping trip went by without any incident.

I was walking through the station with Nico, looking for platform Nine and Three Quarters. There was nothing but a solid brick wall in between platforms Nine and Ten.
"It's not there," Nico said.
"Oh, I bet you it is," I replied.
"Where?" He asked.
"Here!" I shouted, then ran straight through the wall.
Nico appeared behind me.
"It worked?" I asked. "Well, that's where it would be, so..."
"You scared me!" Nico exclaimed.
"Oh, don't worry," I said. "Crashing into a brick wall would barely hurt compared to all the things they did." I shuddered. Then I skipped away with Nico jogging after me.
We found an empty compartment in the back and sat in it.
A few minutes later, three kids walked in.
"May we sit here please?" A girl with brown bushy hair asked.
"Sure," I replied.
They sat down across from us.
"Hello," said one kid that looked sort of like me, just with emerald green eyes and glasses, "my name is Harry. This is Ron," he pointed to a boy with bright red hair and freckles, "and this is Hermione." He pointed to the girl with brown hair.
I shook his hand.
"I'm Percy, and this is Nico," I said.
"Nice to meet you," Ron said. "Friends?"
"Sure," I replied nervously. They looked confused on why I said it nervously.
"He was betrayed a little bit ago," Nico explained. "He is slow to trust anyone now." They gave my pitying glances.
Correction: both of them except for Harry. I sent him a grateful look. He nodded and gave me a small smile.
Just then, the door opened again.
Draco stepped in with two dudes that looked like bodyguards and sneered at Harry.
"Oh, hello Potter," Draco said. "Still hanging out with the weasel and Mudblood are you?" Harry opened his mouth to talk, but I spoke up first.
"What did I tell you about being mean to my friends, Malfoy?" I growled.
He just smirked.
"So, this is Crabbe," he introduced us to his bodyguards, "and this is Goyle."
"So?" I asked. Malfoy looked surprised.
"You'd want to fight them?" He asked me.
"I don't want to, but I could," I said calmly, leaning back against my seat.
"No weapons," Malfoy said. "They don't have any."
"Okay," I said.
"Okay, start whenever," Draco said.
Crabbe and Goyle ran at me from opposite directions. I jumped up and put one foot on each of their shoulders, doing a perfect split. Then I punched them both in the head, knocking them out, and landing on my feet. I dusted myself off and sat back down.
"Malfoy, leave," I said, pointing to the door. "I still have my knives." He dragged Crabbe and Goyle out of the compartment.
After a few minutes of silence, Hermione broke the silence.
"Knives?" She asked. So fast that they couldn't see where I reached, my knives were in my hands- but only two of them. Of have, like thirty weapons on me. It would be safe enough to say I'm paranoid, insane, kind of smart, extremely fast, resourceful, and definitely armed.
"I have more," I said, before putting them away really quickly. "He insulted Nico. I pinned him to the wall with a knife."
"Ooookay," Harry said nervously.
"Don't worry, I wouldn't skewer you." I told him. "Only people who mess with my friends, or monsters."
"Monsters?" Ron asked.
"Yes," I said darkly. "My math teacher turned into a monster once."
"Ummm, okay," Harry said. "Are you American?"
"Yes," I said happily. "I'm from New York."
"Cool!" Ron said. "What's your Quidditch team?" He asked.
"What's Quidditch?" I asked.
They gasped.
"But you must be seventh year, at least!" Hermione said. "Your, like, seventeen, or something!"
"Over a thousand actually," I corrected. "I lost track at three thousand."
Nico fainted.
"What's wrong with him?" Harry asked.
I groaned. "I told him what happened, but I forgot to tell him it had happened for over a thousand years!"
"What happened?" Hermione asked.
I looked right at them.
"The torture."
They gasped. "You were tortured?" They asked.
"Yep," I replied, popping the p for no apparent reason (besides the fact that I'm crazy now).
No one talked for a while.
"We can continue this conversation later," I told them. "We should probably get our robes on."

I wrinkled my nose. "These things are terrible. I don't want to wear a dress."
"It's not a dress," Ron said, "they're normal old robes."
"Robes are not normal," I said. "No one wears these things! I wish I could wear my regular clothes."
Harry shrugged. "I never complained," he said. "Of course, my clothes were always too big anyway."
"But I am complaining." I said. "They're terrible. Why did I agreed to this?"
"Because of truth or dare?" Nico suggested.
"Oh yeah," I said. "Of course. Eh, I'll do it. Whatever."
"Anything from the trolley dears?" Asked the trolley witch.
"Ummm..." I looked at all of the candy. "I can't, sorry."
"I have some money, Percy," Harry suggested.
"No, it's not that," I said. "It's just that Nico and I- we can't eat."
They looked confused.
"Eh, whatever," I said. "Get some candy if you want any. I have extra money if you need it."
~*~
Nico and I were looking sadly at the small pile of candy in the corner of the compartment.
