Chapter Fourteen: He Returns Part Two (Percy)

When I had gotten out of the Underworld, there was a flash. I looked away, and when I looked back, Hestia was there.

She looked at me, worried.

"Hi, Hestia," I said.

"Hi, Percy," she replied. "Hades told me that you were back. Can I give you some powers or something please?"

I shrugged and Hestia shot a beam reddish orange light at me.

"You now have the power to transport using flames, control flames, you're immune to fire, and you can create home cooked meals," She said. "There's another power too, but I forgot what it is. . ."

I put on my signature lopsided smirk.

"Thanks, Hestia," I said. All of those were useful- except for the home cooked meals. I mean, I could make it for others, but I can't eat anyway, so...

But the gods and goddesses don't know that, and I want to keep it that way.

"Can I flame travel to Camp Demigod?" I asked.

"Yes, you can," she said.

"Thanks!" I said.

"No problem," she replied, smiling. Then she flashed away and I looked away.

As soon as she was gone, I started giggling a bit.

When I had finally gotten it together, I put on my mask again to make it look like I'm fine. I'm so glad that I'm skilled at that. I've had lots of time to practice- centuries really. More than that. . .

Then I burst into flames.

I appeared near Thalia's pine tree in a flashed of flames. I immediately ran through the Camp as fast as I could- with my fake I'm-fine-mask on and immediately got to Nico's cabin. No one had seen anything but a blur and a few sparks and shadows drifting behind me as I passed.

I knocked on the door. I heard Nico's muffled reply of "Who is it?" From inside.

"It's me Nico!" I sang.

The door opened a split second later. Nico smiled brightly when he saw me and started to walk towards me and put out his hands and I flinched ever so slightly, but Nico saw and frowned.

"What?" He asked. "You know I'd never hurt you."

"I know," I said. "But hugging me might hurt me." I mumbled the last bit.

"What?" Nico said.

"Oh, nothing," I replied. He frowned again. I hugged him, and he squeezed me back.

I resisted the urge to say "ow" or something.

"Want to go to the beach?" Nico asked.

"No!" I said a little too loudly.

He looked at me, confused.

"Why not?" He asked.

"Water." I shuddered.

He looked at me weird but let it go.

I giggled. Like the song.

I was definitely still insane.

Nico was looking at me weird and concerned again.

"What happened?" He asked.

"Oh, nothing," I said. "Lets go train or something. The last time I fought it was against a bunch of aria."

"Okay," he said.

We walked to the arena to practice sword fighting.

"Wait, Nico, I should probably tell Chiron I'm back," I said.

"Okay," Nico said. We switched directions and headed for the Big House.

Nico knocked on the door, and Chiron opened it. He saw me, and he smiled brightly.

Sometimes I think that I'm like a statue, like one of those Weeping Angles from Doctor Who. When he opened the door, I was just standing they with my fake happiness mask on, not even moving. I stifled a giggle at that thought.

"We've missed you, my boy," he said.

"I've missed you guys too," I said, "not that I had much time to think about it." Then I thought for a second. "Actually, I had loads of time to think about it."

They looked at me, confused, and I giggled a little, which just made them more confused.

"Well, when we go to dinner, and then you can say hi to all of your friends," Chiron said.

"Okay," I said.

Chiron smiled and walked away.

I skipped away from the Big House and Nico could caught up to me.

"Lets go train!" I shouted. People around looked at me weird, but then they realized who it was, and they all ran over.

I really didn't want a big pile of campers on me, because that would hurt.

So I burst into flames (and so did Nico) and we appeared behind them.

"Please no, I don't want a bunch of campers to be piled on top of me," I said. "Now me and Nico are going to go train. The last time I fought something, it was a bunch of aria and stuff..."

I ran, carrying Nico above my head.

I stopped and put him down at the door to the arena. Then we walked inside.

The partially immortal members of the seven were training. They looked over at me and they smiled. They ran at me, but I dodged them.

"Please don't make a dam camper pile on top of me," I said. Then Thalia blew up into laughter, and I started giggling like the crazy person I am.

"What's so funny?" Reyna asked.

"I want to go to the dam snack bar," Thalia laughed.

"I want a dam t-shirt," I giggled.

Thalia recovered before me. She was all better, but I was rolling around on the floor giggling.

When I finally stopped, I got up and saw that they were all staring at me.

"Are you going insane or something?" Thalia asked.

"I'm already insane," I giggled. "A few centuries in Tartarus can do that to you."

"A few centuries?" They asked.

I waved it off.

"Lets train," I said.
